03:15Thank God we did not let that drug going out to the streets, and for us that is more
03:22important than anything else. We are looking to disrupt this, and I'm happy that we were able to seize this
03:31today.
03:54Today, we're going to a container examination site to inspect containers that we believe have stolen vehicles inside of them.
04:01We're seeing a huge increase in the volume of stolen vehicles leaving this port.
04:06We've seized more vehicles leaving the country in the last two years than any other port in the United States.
04:17What we're seeing these profits going to is human smuggling.
04:20We're seeing these cars, these $100,000 cars, also being used as payment for narcotics,
04:26and they're also being used to fund terrorism.
04:29These vehicles get stolen, they get taken to a pile of different countries.
04:33We see these cars going to the Middle East in some cases, where they're later outfitted with RPGs and such,
04:38and used against their American troops.
04:40So these cars are quite profitable in the criminal world.
04:48These containers are lined up.
04:50We take a whole plethora of information that comes in from outside sources,
04:54including confidential informants, to target containers.
05:08This is one of those containers that we've got gear marked.
05:15Just take that out and drop it over to the corner there.
05:25Yeah, there's an auction sticker on this.
05:31When a car is stolen and recovered, the owner of the vehicle has the option to take that car back.
05:37If they don't take it back, the car is then sold at auction.
05:40So we'll see those cars going out a lot of times,
05:43but sometimes the bad guys will actually make it look like it was sold at international auto auctions
05:47and try to make it look like it's going out of the country,
05:49and it was an auction car when, in fact, it wasn't.
05:52So we're going to look at the Federal VIN sticker on the door.
05:54We're going to look at the public VIN on the front,
05:55and then there's other numbers on the vehicle that we're able to use our port partners
05:58to identify the true identity of the car.
06:00And then from there, he's going to check a couple of other different databases
06:03to make sure that there's nobody looking for the vehicle,
06:05like it wasn't involved in a crime, that the vehicle, it sold at auction properly.
06:15So it's a junk salvage.
06:182017 Audi, it got involved in bad action.
06:21It is manifested.
06:23So it's good to go?
06:24It's good to go, yeah.
06:24Okay, so it is manifested correctly.
06:26The documentation for the contents within that container match what the contents are.
06:32We'll close the container up and let it proceed to where it's being exported to.
06:38So what we're going to do now is we're going to go over to eight terminals.
06:41We have interest in a particular container that's there that is manifested as grass,
06:45but it may contain stolen vehicles.
06:47So we're going to conduct what we call a pop and tap, where basically we go out,
06:51we have that container dropped in the terminal to identify if the contents are in fact grass.
07:23We're at the Rio Grande Valley.
07:24We have three point of entries, Hidalgo Far and Anzalduas.
07:28The Hidalgo Bridge, the bridge we're currently at, has the most traffic.
07:31It's going to have a ton of pedestrian travelers.
07:34It's going to have a lot in the vehicles.
07:37Anzalduas, it's a little bit further out.
07:39It gives travelers the opportunity to not be all congested into one location.
07:43When you go over to the Far Bridge, it's going to have a lot more of the cargo.
07:47Thousands of containers a day.
07:50Each port has their own offices, their own skill set.
07:52And the reason they're separated is you couldn't handle that much traffic in one port.
08:06Mainly our focus here in this Hidalgo Bridge is we're checking the vehicles coming inbound.
08:11If an officer in primary believes that, you know, the vehicle suspicious or the travelers are suspicious,
08:16they send them in.
08:20Okay, listos.
08:21Okay, gracias.
08:24A lot of them have secret compartments.
08:25A lot of them bring in, you know, narcotics in the gas tank and the tires.
08:32Secondary is pretty much where we check vehicles for narcotics.
08:40Should be good with this one.
08:42Muchas gracias.
08:42Muy amable.
08:43Bienvenidos.
08:44Gracias.
08:56Hi.
08:58No food, alcohol, tobacco?
09:00No, sir.
09:00All right, have a good day.
09:04Buenos dias.
09:06¿Hay algo para declarar?
09:08No.
09:08¿Y a dónde van ustedes?
09:09Vamos nomás aquà a Macale.
09:11Macale.
09:15All right.
09:15All right.
09:15If you can do me a favor and go ahead and pull into number three.
09:22No.
09:24No.
09:31No.
09:32No.
09:32No.
09:41No.
09:43No.
09:44No.
09:46No.
09:56No.
10:08We're in the trunk.
10:17Good girl.
10:19Good girl.
10:23Good girl.
10:30I saw her change of behavior, and then we pinpointed the side of the trunk.
10:37You guys can look at it, and then we'll send it in for a Z portal.
10:40We'll definitely stand, because it was all...
10:43This area right here?
10:43Yep.
10:44All right.
10:44You can search it.
10:45We'll do the 7 point, and then we'll check it out on the Z portal.
10:49Drug smugglers, this is their trade.
10:51This is their profession.
10:52They know where to hide things.
10:54They know how to try and circumvent our inspectional operations.
10:57You said this is left corner?
10:59Yeah, right here, and then all right here.
11:04Good.
11:07The lift gate motor.
11:12We need to be one step better when we do our inspections.
11:15And knowledge of cars, where the voids are, where you can hide things, things like that.
11:20Absolutely key.
11:22Do you see the wheel well?
11:24It's either been cut or it's been damaged, but I've never seen one damaged this way.
11:33And there's a vent back here, like a structural vent.
11:39It keeps air circulating.
11:40From the wheel well, if there was something in there, then it would come through here where the dog hit.
11:48We'll run it through the x-ray.
11:57We should be hitting it in something that's a fire.
12:00It could be.
12:01The traces are...
12:01Yeah.
12:01Okay.
12:02Depending on the odor.
12:03All right.
12:09All good?
12:11All clear.
12:13Unfortunately, we didn't find anything, even though the canines did alert to it.
12:17We did everything that we could for an inspection, but we will keep looking and hopefully we find something.
12:44So we got a choice, guys.
12:46Should we venture off yonder?
12:49Let's go do it.
12:50The sea state's good, man.
12:51Yeah, let's go to the Narrows.
12:52Get into something.
12:54Come hop in, because if we get something, we're getting something.
12:57All right.
12:58We're going to go sit inside the Narrows in between St. John and the British Virgin Islands.
13:03We've been getting boats coming in early afternoon around this time.
13:07We have a split second to basically get in behind and get in pursuit.
13:11I'm the vessel commander for today, so we're going to switch out seats and go patrol.
13:16Stop him.
13:18Coming up.
13:22We have a hard border that separates U.S. Virgin Islands and the British Virgin Islands.
13:28Anybody that crosses over into the United States, we have the authority to conduct a border search.
13:33It's a high-traffic area for smuggling events, whether it's narcotics or human smuggling.
13:42A lot of the smuggling adventures will come from Colombia or Venezuela and work their way up through the Lesser
13:48Antilles.
13:50The British Virgin Islands is a stop in between before it enters the U.S. Virgin Islands.
13:54And then on the other side of St. Thomas, we have Puerto Rico, and that's the ultimate goal, to get
14:00to Puerto Rico and then into the United States.
14:06What do we have coming inbound here, guys?
14:10Well, at that point, say hello?
14:13Yeah.
14:24Good boy.
14:25Nice as customs.
14:27Good day, sir.
14:28Good day.
14:29What are you heading to?
14:30Huh?
14:31It's your ID ID.
14:32Yeah.
14:34What are you heading to?
14:35Back to St. Thomas.
14:37St. Thomas?
14:38Yeah.
14:38I got him.
14:39We're about to St. Thomas.
14:40It's my car.
14:41St. Thomas?
14:43All right, do me a solid.
14:44Can you just open these up for me?
14:45Yeah.
14:50Another quick question.
14:51How much cash do you have on you?
14:53I'm going to give you $10,000.
14:55Nope.
14:56All right.
14:57I appreciate it.
15:00I'm good, right?
15:01Yeah.
15:02Let's do it, Jeff.
15:06We get frequent flyers like that all the time.
15:08I know his father very well.
15:13Smuggling boats have come in as early as 12, 30 in the afternoon and as late as 4 o'clock
15:18in the morning.
15:19So it's luck of the draw.
15:21Hopefully we get lucky today.
15:22Fingers crossed.
15:40There's hundreds of thousands of containers in these yards.
15:46The security has taken us to the location where this container has been dropped and the target
15:51has found some traits that are identical to traits on pest containers that had stolen vehicles.
15:57We're going out to make sure that it has what's manifested in it.
16:00So in this case, it's manifested as grass, regular planting grass.
16:12How many boxes up is it?
16:14Uh, the second one.
16:17It's almost like a Rubik's Cube.
16:19You have to move all these containers around to get to the one that we need.
16:25So once the gantry crane drops that down, we'll do a quick pop and tap on it.
16:29If it's, uh, if it's anything other than grass that's supposed to be in there,
16:34we're going to, uh, have it taken over to the container examination site.
16:40All right, have at it.
16:54What is it?
16:56Ah, nice.
17:04Three cores on them.
17:06Three?
17:06For second three.
17:12The documentation for this container states it's supposed to have grass inside of it,
17:16like the grass you'd grow in the field.
17:17Upon opening it, you can see there's a blue truck in the back.
17:20It looks like a Honda CR-V in the front.
17:21So obviously it's not what we were told was supposed to be in there.
17:27We go need a driver.
17:29Yep.
17:30Yep.
17:30Here we go.
17:34We have the container examination site sending a driver over with a chassis
17:37so we can take this container back.
17:41It's vital details and it has a temporary plate.
17:43We just received information now that there's a sister container associated with this.
17:48It's the same inconsistencies with the documentation for the container.
17:52So chances are better than not that there's going to be vehicles in that as well.
18:02So he just left the site there.
18:03He's coming through the out gate here.
18:05This is our container down here with the white cab in it.
18:08So we're going to go over to the container examination site now.
18:11Back that one in.
18:12And then the second container is also being picked up as we speak.
18:16And when that gets over there, we'll open that container and take a look and see what we have.
18:30Hello.
18:30How are you?
18:31What did you do in Mexico?
18:33Obviously the doctor.
18:34How long were you there?
18:36I just froze in the morning.
18:38Just this morning?
18:39Oh, okay.
18:49Hello.
18:49Good afternoon.
18:51Sir, what did you do in Mexico?
18:52I went to Delta.
18:54The FBI.
18:55The U.S. citizens go to Mexico more than anything for a doctor.
18:59Medication over there is a lot cheaper.
19:00Surgery is a lot cheaper over there as well.
19:02Are you bringing back any medication?
19:04No.
19:04All right.
19:05Nice day.
19:09I'm going to offer a primary.
19:11Can you set a Tuesday portal?
19:1310-4.
19:17You're just causing a cup.
19:18I don't know if you can get rid of it.
19:19That's it.
19:20You can do it yourself.
19:21This trash can over there.
19:23The vehicle caught her eye.
19:24It was sent in.
19:25The officer felt that how new the vehicle was to who was driving it and where it was going.
19:30Was it a concern?
19:31Any alcohol, tobacco, parrond?
19:33No, none of that.
19:34Plants, meats, fruits.
19:35No, claro que no, no.
19:39Here we just look for any tampering on the bolts, nuts, plastics, anything that's been
19:44removed, messed with.
19:47But this looks pretty normal.
19:49Everything looks really dirty.
19:50Todo bien, ¿cómo?
19:51Todo bien.
19:52Asà que hay que esperar acá por favor, man.
19:53Ok, ¿dónde?
19:54Uh, you can wait inside or outside.
19:56Oh, escucha, Bobby, you made me wait there.
19:58That's weird.
19:59You can wait over here, man.
20:01¿Dónde nos pega el sol?
20:03When she came out of the car, she had two phones with her.
20:05Inside the vehicle, there was another phone that was broken and what looked like two other
20:08phone cases of purchased phones.
20:10That was one thing that kind of caught my eye.
20:14So we'll probably just, uh, get some stuff out because that officer wants to run through
20:19the Z portal.
20:20I just have a mess in my truck.
20:22No bad stuff, no nothing.
20:25I went to go get my hair done with a really, really, really nice place that I go to.
20:30Mostly everyone goes to Mexico for beauty, which is surgeries, hair, Botox, lips, everything.
20:37Like, if you ask anyone, everyone comes for cosmetics.
20:42I just don't trust people here with my hair, so I'd rather go to Mexico.
20:45And it's only, like, two minutes away from the border, so it's safe.
20:48Not bad.
20:49No, this is bad that they're taking my truck.
20:51Well, they're taking time away from me because I was supposed to go to the mall.
21:16The reason why we started asking about occupation was just the clothes that were in the vehicle
21:20compared to how clean the vehicle was looking in the tire while it looked brand new.
21:24But as you can see, there was a mess that looked like someone might have been living in there or
21:27something.
21:28So it gives you an idea of how much they make or jobs they might work.
21:33They're just going to check out the car and the exit machine if there's any anomalies.
21:37If she's clear, she'll be good to go.
21:41My truck was pretty expensive.
21:43I got it here in Mercedes.
21:45It does kind of look weird, suspicious, you know, a $90,000 truck going into Mexico.
21:55The actually didn't show anything.
21:57It shows clear, so we're good with it.
21:59So we're just going to load everything back up instead of going down the road.
22:01I'm only guilty of having a mess, so can you at least help me put everything back?
22:06I can help out with this.
22:09My traveler is very compliant.
22:11They worked well and caused a lot of problems.
22:13I'm a little late, but it's okay, you know.
22:16You can't go against the law.
22:18The law always wins here.
22:19She was cleared to go and no problems in the house.
22:22I'm out of here.
22:23I'm going.
22:24Bye.
22:40Do they want to sit on the inside?
22:42I'll sit here.
22:54Hey, Frank.
22:55Do you need something?
22:57There's supposed to be 100 kilos getting smuggled from St. Thomas to Puerto Rico.
23:02There's two boats on water right now.
23:05Do you want us to head that way?
23:07Yeah.
23:08Okay.
23:10There's a center console heading west towards Calabria.
23:12Just drop the hammer.
23:13Yeah.
23:15Coming up.
23:20We received intel that there's a vessel that's leaving the west side of St. Thomas.
23:25It has approximately about 100 kilos on it.
23:27A center console style with two people on board that's going to be posing as fishing.
23:31So we have to gain some distance.
23:33We're all the way in St. John, so we're going to make a good run to see if we can
23:38stop that
23:38vessel before it makes it to Puerto Rico.
23:41Rocket by 432, gate fly for about two miles.
23:4510-4.
23:47Let me know if you get a visual.
23:49Yep.
23:52All I see is moving to the cruise ship.
23:58Wait.
23:59We're standing in front of the cruise ship.
24:01Yep.
24:02Hey, keep in mind that you're distant with this cruise ship.
24:05Got it.
24:06Yeah, I think we got out of going.
24:08We got one on the run, right?
24:11Yeah, you got it.
24:12I got visual.
24:13Two of them.
24:15So one might be a heat boat, and one might have to poke hang.
24:19Okay.
24:19Which one are we going for?
24:21Ah.
24:24Um, I don't know, man.
24:26So it's two outboard engines.
24:29Seven-packed one, 26-footers.
24:30Yeah, so whatever one looks like that.
24:32Okay.
24:34Two outboard.
24:34Fuck her.
24:40Outboard?
24:41I think so.
24:42I think so.
24:45All right.
24:47Keep in mind, if that other boat comes up, you guys got to have eyes all around.
24:51Got it.
24:53Hold it, set it on.
24:55Let's hit him.
25:05Come down, come down.
25:08Hands up, hands up, hands up.
25:13Hands up.
25:15Hands up.
25:16You with no shirt.
25:18Move to the front of the boat.
25:24U.S. Customs, move to the front of the boat.
25:26Move to the front, sir.
25:27Keep moving.
25:27Keep moving.
25:28Keep moving.
25:29Turn around.
25:30Take towards the bow.
25:31Get on your knees.
25:34All right.
25:35Ma'am, put your hands on top of your head.
25:37Walk to the front of the boat.
25:41843's got a muscle slap.
25:42All right.
25:43I'm going over, all right?
25:43I got both.
25:49I'm set.
25:54Ma'am, stand up.
25:57Walk backwards towards me, OK?
26:00It's OK.
26:01Just keep walking back.
26:02All right.
26:03Stop right there, OK?
26:04Just give me a hand real quick.
26:07We'll explain what's going on.
26:09Sit down right here, OK?
26:11You got her?
26:12Yeah, I got her.
26:14Stand up, sir.
26:15Yep, stand up.
26:18And walk back with my voice.
26:19Very slowly.
26:20Don't fall.
26:25Keep cooperating with us.
26:28Just vessel and something to avoid us.
26:30OK.
26:32Where are you guys going?
26:34Right now, from San Tomas, from where I am.
26:51Who's back?
27:03Hey, thanks for going over and getting these two fets.
27:05I appreciate it.
27:11We've identified the truck that's in there as being stolen.
27:14So we're going to bring that.
27:15That's going to get back there now.
27:16And then we have a sister container that came in at the doors at the end down there.
27:19It's the same inconsistencies with the documentation.
27:22As soon as we do some work with this, we're going to pop down there and see what we have
27:25with that container.
27:35You can bring it back a little bit further, Paul.
27:37Yeah, put it sideways this way.
27:39You can work on getting the next one out then.
27:41So now you have another Mercedes.
27:43Yeah, another one I can't tell.
27:45Yeah, the one in front's a Honda.
27:48We're going to take that out.
27:49And then we have our second container attributed to this that's down at the other door.
27:55Looking at that other container, we're probably going to find cars in it.
27:58We're going to go down and we're going to take a look and see what we have down here.
28:03And there's your cars.
28:04So right now it's showing us two BMW cars.
28:11We can just pull this down off the top of here.
28:14Watch, there's a lot of bugs on this thing.
28:17You have a BMW X7.
28:19These cars right now seem to be one of the highlights of stolen vehicles.
28:23This would be the VIN number that's of one of the vehicles here.
28:26So if we run that VIN number, chances are better than not, we'll probably see that it was stolen.
28:29Can you run that VIN number?
28:31Got it.
28:32Oh, here you go.
28:40So it comes back.
28:44Here's a VIN number.
28:45It matches.
28:47This jet is stolen.
28:49Yeah, so the vehicle is stolen.
28:50It's a BMW.
28:51It's a 2021.
28:53It was stolen out of the state of New Jersey.
28:56That's where it's stolen from.
28:57Yeah.
28:58Do you know the date that it was stolen on that one?
28:59It should tell you.
29:00Yeah, it does.
29:02About two weeks ago.
29:04Looking at the indicators, this was not professionally packed.
29:07So they drive the car into the container.
29:10They get out of it, and they send it out as quickly as possible.
29:15This particular car sells for about $100,000.
29:17Top of the line, fully loaded.
29:19When it finally gets to its ultimate destination, which is West Africa,
29:22it will probably bring about $10,000 or $12,000.
29:24The person who stole the car probably received $500.
29:32We have our Homeland Security Investigations.
29:34They're going to be here on site with us.
29:36They're going to be looking for fingerprints.
29:38They're going to be looking for DNA.
29:39They're going to be looking for anything that's in that car that points to the bad guy.
29:45Usually, it's a transnational auto theft gang.
29:47We just locked up eight people a couple of weeks ago.
29:50As crazy as it sounds, it's happened in the past.
30:13This is an X-Ring machine that we use to scan merchandise coming from Mexico
30:18and detect any anomalies.
30:21Cars is a little bit different because it's a smaller vehicle,
30:24and usually we'll have to get everything out so we can have an empty object to look at.
30:29When we are scanning 18-wheelers with produce, that makes it a little bit more challenging.
30:38These machines are very high-intensity.
30:40It can actually shoot through 16 inches of steel.
30:43It's one of the best tools that we have in support.
30:46Let's finish.
30:50And it looks like there's no anomalies on this one.
30:53Good to go.
31:04I have some anomalies here.
31:07It's light, but I see something that I haven't seen before, so call it in.
31:12I don't know what it is.
31:20I'm going to run my canine on some pallets and see if we get anything.
31:52We do have a canine alert, so we're going to take a more intensive inspection
31:57on the commodity and the pallets.
32:05There we go.
32:07Right here.
32:08Right here.
32:36You can see a little bit there.
32:39Right there.
32:41Right there.
32:42Right there.
32:44Right here.
32:55We are trying to carefully remove the mechanics from the pallet.
33:00We don't want any exposure.
33:02Let's do it.
33:07What?
33:08What?
33:09Yeah, there's some spilled out.
33:11It looks crystal-like.
33:27Since we found narcotics in the shipment, we are spot-checking to make sure that there
33:33are no narcotics or anything commingled within the commodity itself.
33:39It's an all-hands-on-deck type of thing.
33:53When narcotics are found, then the merchandise has tainted.
33:58So you can't introduce it to the economy, it will be destroyed.
34:04We had dismantled the first board, it took us roughly one hour to clear one board.
34:11There's 20 pallets in the truck, we're going to have to check all the pallets, and it's
34:16going to be very difficult to remove the packages from the board, so we call the contractor to
34:22assist us with the extraction of narcotics.
34:24They got like about an hour, the ETA could be a little bit past that.
34:28And we are anticipating a long day.
34:42Come on.
34:43Yours?
34:45Yes, please.
34:46I'm just going to do it right here in front of you.
35:07I got nothing on board right now, I'm cool with taking him out of cuffs.
35:10OK.
35:11Yeah, let's get you out of cuffs.
35:12Stand up.
35:13So you want to know why we stopped you, right?
35:15Guns out, so...
35:17We have reports of some illegal activities going on right now.
35:20OK.
35:21It fit the description of this vessel.
35:23Can you do me a favor?
35:24Yeah.
35:24Can I see some ID, please?
35:26Oh, of course.
35:27We have to possibly...
35:28All right.
35:29I'm going to walk up to the front and handle this, all right?
35:30OK.
35:31You guys just sit back here.
35:33OK.
35:39All right.
35:41Cool, guys.
35:42Sorry for the mix-up.
35:44Here's your IDs.
35:45No problem.
35:46No problem.
35:46Hope we didn't scare you guys too bad.
35:48Yeah.
35:50They did fit the description of the intel that we had.
35:53We went on board, looked around, found nothing that was illegal, and ran their names.
35:57No wants, no warrants.
35:59Realized that these were not the people we were looking for.
36:01All right.
36:07Mike, 843 is clear from the vessel staff.
36:09Good copy.
36:15Yo.
36:18All right.
36:19All right.
36:20Thanks.
36:23You got to respond until tomorrow.
36:25Oh.
36:26We had known that 10 minutes earlier.
36:28No, it is what it is.
36:29It's starting to make that stop, though.
36:31Good job, guys.
36:32That was good.
36:32That was good.
36:35We'll run back.
36:36All right.
36:36Let's do it.
36:38You ready?
36:39I'm good.
36:40Coming up.
36:42I'm good.
36:58I'm good.
37:02All right.
37:03Let's run.
37:04Let's go.
37:07Let's go.
37:08You're coming.
37:10Let's go.
37:11but we will still oversee the extraction of the narcotics.
37:20What we've determined is there are six boards on each pallet,
37:25and each board concealed eight packages.
37:29So a total of 48 packages on each pallet.
37:33Seems like each one is concealing narcotics.
37:39The small packages seem to be glued on one side,
37:42and it's very difficult to remove them.
37:57We have seen this type of concealment in the past.
38:00This type of concealment is what we refer to as very deep concealment,
38:05very difficult to find.
38:09Once we start with the extraction, we don't stop.
38:12We keep on going until the process is complete.
38:15This is going to be a very significant seizure.
38:26That's it.
38:28Tired?
38:28Tired.
38:29Relieved, it's almost over.
38:37We need to test the packages to verify if you're properly with the narcotic.
38:44We're testing with our Gemini System.
39:07The total count was 960 packages, the total weight of 122 kilos.
39:19We will now transport the narcotics to our temporary vault in Hidalgo POE to a very significant
39:25seizure.
39:38Pretty logistically challenging for us to extract.
39:41You can only imagine the amount of work that the cartel is doing just to make sure that
39:44these drugs can make their way into the United States.
39:49We work very hard every day, and in this case we've intercepted narcotics of methamphetamine,
39:54so it's a huge dent for the cartel.
40:15You can pop it right there, it's actually a Honda Civic, not a CR-V.
40:27We did run the VIN number, we know it's stolen already, but we tried to look to see if there's
40:31any additional things in there that we may be able to pick on.
40:33So now Homeland Security Investigations comes to do their fingerprinting.
40:38We're going to start off with this part.
40:40We're going to look for any evidence, bottles, anything that's possibly touched.
40:45We're going to look for fingerprints, possibly get a suspect out of it.
40:50So this is just fingerprint ink, so I'm going to put a little in here.
40:56Our main goal is to get the high-end people, the people that are actually paying the street
41:02guys to steal the vehicles.
41:06We just check this on this side here.
41:09I got to say, it looks like they did wear gloves or they were pretty clean and wiped it
41:14because I see no smudges or anything whatsoever on this.
41:21So we're just going to move on to the next call.
41:25We got a Mercedes-AMG, I think it is 2023, so this is pretty new.
41:39This one has the touch screens.
41:42It's got a few smudges.
41:49This one, you can actually see like some ridges on it.
41:53So we'll take that, see if they're in the system and then come back and maybe get a suspect
41:57out of the situation.
41:59Just go through the inside, take a look at it, look underneath the seats, see if there's
42:02nothing in there, open up the engine compartment, take a look at that.
42:08The guys that are on the outbound team are looking for anything that's in there that might
42:11be evidentiary, either cash or guns or narcotics going out.
42:15If there is, they'll put that in evidence bag, they'll hand it over to the investigator.
42:19Right.
42:19A lot of times we'll find personal effects.
42:22We'll try to get those personal effects back to the owner of the vehicle.
42:28This is a family vehicle.
42:31It has typical family items in here.
42:35I got a kid's lunch box.
42:38We have some bedding.
42:43I mean, very typical stuff.
42:48Here's something a little different.
42:49What do you got?
42:50I got a whole bunch of keys.
42:52Oh, yeah.
42:53We got the ShopRite tag, keys to the house, keys to everything.
42:57We got keys to everything.
42:59A whole bag of keys to probably whoever's vehicle this is.
43:02We'll try to get those back to the owner of the vehicle.
43:08So at this point, with the inspections completed, we did find a couple of things in the car that
43:13may assist in the investigation.
43:15It looks like it's all going to be part of the same case.
43:17It seems like it's the same bad actors that have stolen all these vehicles.
43:29We're good to go, all right?
43:30All right, man.
43:31In these cases, even though it might be something like auto theft, they're never really just
43:35involved in auto theft.
43:36They're involved in human smuggling.
43:37They're involved in drug trafficking.
43:39They're involved in a whole host of different things that pertain to criminals.
43:43It's just another way of making quick money.
43:44So it's a success story for us.
43:47The guys and gals that work for this team are very hungry.
43:49We do very, very well with the recovery of these stolen vehicles.
43:52And knowing that we're able to get that back and repatriate it back with the person that
43:55owns that car, it's huge.
