00:00Santa Clara takes on Kentucky, and the Wildcats are three and a half point favorites.
00:05If all the favorites had won yesterday, you may have looked at it and just said,
00:08ah, you know, Kentucky, as you said, NIL money coming in over 20 million.
00:13Easy win for them, total 158 and a half.
00:16But I, like you, even though my brackets are filled,
00:19am starting to think maybe we are going to get more of those upsets today.
00:25Well, it's one thing you have to take away.
00:27I mean, the reality is what happened yesterday is not going to have a whole lot of bearing
00:31on what happens with these matchups here today.
00:33But there is a theme, I think, that we need to consider that we haven't had in years past.
00:39And that is, again, in this game, you've got a Kentucky team with a reported $22 million.
00:46They are paying their players.
00:49Now, $22 million, you would think that they were 31-0 during the regular season,
00:55that they'd be, you know, unbeatable with that kind of—
00:59No, they aren't.
01:00They went 4-6 in their last 10 games.
01:03They lost to Georgia.
01:04They lost to Auburn.
01:06They lost to A&M.
01:07They only beat LSU at home, by the way, by five.
01:12And, in fact, outside of Rupp Arena, they haven't been great at all this season.
01:16That's $22 million now enter Santa Clara, who, I mean, pennies on the dollar do they
01:24pay their players compared to what Kentucky has got.
01:27And yet, this line opened up 3.5-4, Craig, and all I am seeing is Santa Clara money hitting
01:33the board.
01:33The public loves Kentucky.
01:36I'm in this spot all over the dog.
01:39I think Santa Clara has shown that they are more than capable of hanging with the big
01:44boys here.
