00:28:10And although it was stressful, Adam tried to make sure that he did the best that he possibly could to

00:28:17I remember him getting up early doors, going, washing lorries, and then going out of an evening delivering leaflets for
00:28:23an estate agent.
00:28:24So off the back of that, his boss gave him an apprenticeship.

00:28:28Yeah, he then learned everything he needed to learn and opened up his own.
00:28:33It sounds like he was really working hard back then.
00:28:36How did that go from that to sort of this?
00:28:40It doesn't stop till he's on top.
00:28:42But I think the way that he gives back is he now, where he was an apprentice, he now hires
00:28:47apprentices to come.

00:28:51I hadn't really thought about where they would be from originally, but I guess it was quite reassuring, if that's
00:29:00the right word, to know that it does happen to people like us.

00:31:46Just feel like I'm stuck in this loop of financial struggle that I just can't see how I can break
00:31:53out of.
00:31:54Taking a seat at the boardroom, Becky's strengths are going under the microscope.

00:33:42In Essex, there's no high-end selling, just a local community centre where Becky and Amy
00:33:48head for budget fun.

00:35:21I think it's just the growth you see in the children.
00:35:26You see them come here with not trusting anybody, not feeling safe and not wanting to learn hate in school.
00:35:34And then they come out feeling that they can rely on people.

00:48:40So how many children do you actually help with your programme?
00:48:45In Essex alone, there are thousands of young children and older children that are not in
00:48:51education or employment or in training.

00:48:55And alternative provisions are needed to cater for those young people.
00:48:59Becky, who I've swapped houses with, she actually helps children that are going through a hard time.
00:49:09If they stay in school, that's great.
00:49:12If school's not for you, it doesn't mean that when you leave school, there's nothing.
00:49:16It's about coming together almost as a family and offering these young people a future.
00:49:22Yeah, that's something that I'm really passionate about finding.
00:49:25I really want to put a scheme together with Becky so that we can help as many young people as
00:49:31possible
00:49:31get into further education and start building something that will give them a career in the future.
00:49:39I know that the young people that we interact with, there's thousands more that don't know about these services.
00:49:48What you're doing with Becky is going to open up doors to young people that honestly didn't know they were
00:49:54there.
00:49:54Yeah, that's exactly what we need to do. Because like I said before, if I didn't have this opportunity when
00:50:01I was younger, I really don't know if I would be where I am today.
