Canberra Times photographer Keegan Carroll drives through Canberra's weirdest and accident-prone roundabout located at Parkes Way and Coranderrk Street.
Transcript
00:08It's Keegan from The Camera Times. I am currently at the roundabout of Coranderrk Street and Parkes Way.
00:13This has had the most accidents every year since 2021. Following that, number two is just up the road, up
00:21there at the roundabout on Anzac Parade.
00:23Now just behind me, for a bit of a landmark, we've got the National Convention Centre right here and we've
00:28got Civic Pool.
00:30We're about to enter the most dangerous intersection in Canberra as we drive through the roundabout on Parkes Way, exiting
00:36to Coranderrk Street.
00:37There are two lanes where a right turn can be made. However, to do this, you have to head check
00:43to watch out for cars looking to exit the roundabout and join Parkes Way.
00:48These cars joining Parkes Way are exiting left, while if you are heading towards the city, you are exiting right,
00:56creating a potential dangerous crossing of paths on the roundabout.
