00:36Porsche decided to expand its own battery expertise here in Horna Strida, Slovakia,
00:41with an innovative technical center and the Porsche Smart Battery Shop, the new state-of-the-art
00:47production facility with maximum manufacturing quality for the battery modules of the Cayenne Electric.
00:54Production here takes place under clean room conditions in six clearly defined steps.
01:00The first step is cell preparation. Each pouch cell is tested, measured and uniquely identified,
01:08the basis for complete traceability. The cells are then precisely aligned and assembled into a stack.
01:17This is followed by automated welding and contacting, during which the electrical connections are created.
01:24The cell assembly is then foamed for stabilization and mounted in the module housing. Thermal material,
01:32known as gap filler, ensures reliable heat dissipation before the cooling plates are connected.
01:40Finally, the end-of-line test is performed with insulation measurement and leak test.
01:46Quality assurance for perfection. Each station provides real-time process data,
01:54which is centrally archived in a cloud. This means that every single module is fully documented.

02:06its new Porsche Smart battery laboratory. This means that battery expertise, development and production in Bratislava are even more closely
