00:03We first saw this last year at the New York Auto Show, one of the most anticipated new

00:16Well, fast forward about eight months, and we have it right here in the parking lot.
00:21It is fast, it's fun, it's perfectly balanced and engineered, and it is the ultimate luxury
00:27electric sports car.
00:29The Porsche Macan Electric is important because the Macan is Porsche's best-selling car.
00:35It's very popular because people love the size and the scale, they love the drive experience,
00:40and it's one of the more affordable models in the Porsche lineup.
00:43The electric model starts at about $78,000 and goes to about $130,000.
00:49The Porsche Macan Electric Turbo, which is what we're test driving, is the top of the
00:54line.
00:55Ours tops out at about $132,000.
00:58So what do you get for that $78,000 to $130,000?
01:02Well a completely redesigned interior, new functions, new technology, that beautiful
01:08curved Porsche driver display screen, a new multimedia system, and a screen for your front
01:16seat passenger.
01:17The interior of the 2025 Macan is streamlined and it's elegant, but it's still all Porsche.
01:25So there's some things that they've done to keep the true Porsche DNA.
01:29For instance, the starter is still over here on the left side of the steering wheel.
01:33It's no longer a starter switch, it is a button, but it's on the left side, which is a traditional
01:39Porsche detail.
01:40The gear shifter in the Macan in prior models was right here in the center console.
01:44That's been moved here to the front dash.
01:48There's a button to push it into park, or you toggle between reverse, drive, or neutral
01:54using this toggle switch.
01:56The center of the screen is where we find our multimedia system.
01:59This is where you'll find all of your apps in a newly designed multimedia system and
02:03quick access buttons for the toolbar here.
02:07This is where you're going to put up that spoiler.
02:14The passenger screen offers additional function.
02:17Passenger can actually see driving dynamics and follow along with what the driver is doing,
02:22or the passenger can set up navigation, music, and things like that.
02:25And if they don't want the screen, they can just turn it off.
02:29Everything in the Porsche Macan is oriented for the driver.
02:33So even though this screen is flat, it's easy for the driver to see.
02:36The driver display is easy and clear to see.
02:39And then there's also a head up display that has augmented reality.
02:43Here on the center console, there is a wireless phone charger here.
02:47We have our climate control buttons here.
02:50And then we have a nice deep well for holding small things, and we have cup holders.
02:55All of it is surrounded by ambient lighting, which is customizable by color.
03:00A couple of spoiler features in the Porsche Macan Electric are the panoramic sunroof and
03:07the micro suede headliner, which adds a really elegant feel to the cabin.
