00:15rigidness of schedule but doing this trip solo was just gonna be too much of a hassle with all
00:21the touts slash language barrier etc so i opted for a tour i'm glad i did because the day was
00:28effortless and relaxing only pushy salespeople at petra itself from my hotel in a lot i was picked
00:36up in a van along with four other participants we were driven to the border crossing and dated by
00:42ramsey who expedited the additional visa slash exit fees 140 dollars from there we made our way through
00:50immigration and were met up with fatty our guide for the day here we also met up with a busload

00:56other participants coming from jerusalem and tel aviv it was a large group but fatty was great
01:03you can tell he's passionate about his job and introducing petra his hometown to us we were
01:10told about the history of the site during our ride to petra there was a nice break to deprive us

01:17some dollar at a souvenir shop but that was expected we were given about two hours at petra this included
01:23about a 60 to 75 minute tour from the entrance to the treasury by fatty who did a wonderful job

01:30keeping me entertained there was about 45 minutes to wander independently before meeting at sandstone
01:37restaurant for our lunch buffet i made it as far as the amphitheater before i turned around and headed
01:44to the resto i think a day is sufficient at petra unless you arrive on a day that also has

01:50candle entry if so i'd stay on and do the night entry in the evening and come back to petra

01:57following day and explore it further to the monastery buffet lunch was okay with typical appetizers of
02:04the region and three meat dishes along with a very mushy vegetarian spaghetti entree only one small plastic
02:11cup of water was provided but you can purchase more beverages return to the border back to israel was
02:18straightforward we made another pit stop for a coffee slash watermelon break and more souvenirs
02:24for me the standout was foddy which is why i'm giving it five fifths otherwise i think the tour would
02:32merit 3.5 out of five the visit in petra was amazing guider was very attentive and friendly explained very
02:42well and walked a good path together sharing interesting information also the driver was
02:48very careful the bus is also clear and comfortable great attendance since book until after tour it would
02:57worth to spend longer time in jordan excellent tour of the exceptional side of petra very good jordanian guide
