Transcript
00:00Thank you for coming today. We are looking for some public assistance in and around a sexual assault investigation, a
00:08cold case investigation spanning back 20 years, where four women were sexually assaulted in and around this area, two in
00:18particular in the botanical gardens, the others in the CBD of Albury.
00:23We're certainly looking out to members of the public out there who might know something about these offences. Please, we
00:31want you to come forward, come to Crimestoppers, come and share some information with us.
00:36And what's prompted you to make this appeal today?
00:39I will say this investigation kicked off last June after information was received by Crimestoppers.
00:46Our detectives have been working fairly hard on this and have made some progress in this investigation.
00:55Now we want to reach out to see if we may have witnesses out there.
01:00And we're mindful too. We did have four women bravely come forward and report these offences.
01:05There may be other victims out there we don't know about, who we'd love to hear from as well.
01:11We have fresh eyes on this case and we have fresh technology, which has assisted us to the point that
01:16we're at today.
01:17The male is described as in his 20s, between 170 and 185 centimetres tall and of slim to medium build.
01:25We're asking members of the public that if you know something, now is the time to say something.
01:30And if you were a victim of crime at this time and you didn't have the confidence to come forward,
01:35I hope today gives you that confidence to seek us out.
