00:46Edie, I have it all taken from here.
00:50My husband is on the first desk.

00:57They're already on the way.
00:58I need help.
00:59I need help.
01:01I need help.
01:02I need help.
01:04I need help.
01:06He's perfect.
01:08He's perfect.
01:09He's perfect.
01:10He's perfect.
01:10Ayúdanos, ayúdanos, ayúdanos, ayúdanos.
01:16Call the police.
01:18The son has been shot.
01:19Yes.
01:24Where's the guy at the gun?
01:32Did you guys see anything?
01:34No.
01:39I'm gonna take care of her, okay?
01:40No, no.
01:41Give me a trailer.
01:42What else for you guys going to take care of?
01:43Just a trailer.
01:44Okay.
02:00There's a third person who showed up, St. Francis, who's involved in this also.
02:15There's a casing over here. There's another one. There's multiple back there. It might be more than one.
02:31We're going to start hauling witnesses to Detective Division to give a statement.
02:42Yes, ma'am. Okay. I will let the crime scene know. I appreciate it.
02:50Be down.
03:05For homicide detectives, their chance of solving a murder is cut in half if they don't get a lead within
03:12the first 48 hours.
03:32A little after 1 o'clock this morning, I got a call about a murder that happened out at an
03:36event center.
03:37There's three people total shot, and one is deceased. Two others have been transported to the hospital.
03:44The victim's name is Antonio Rosales.
03:4943-year-old Antonio Rosales, known as Tonio, was born and raised in Mexico.
03:56When he was 19, he moved to the U.S., where he married his wife, Marisol.
04:02They have four children together.
04:05Antonio's passion was riding horses in Mexican rodeos.
04:11He was shot one time in the upper left chest.
04:14Two other males that were shot, one was shot in the abdomen, the wrist, and the arm.
04:20The other was shot in the lower leg.
04:23They were both in stable condition.
04:27We got about 10 to 12 people here at the detective division to interview.
04:31So we're trying to sort all that out.
04:37I've got the wife.
04:44I'm Detective Farrell, and I'm very sorry that you're having to be up here with us today.
04:49We'll try to get you through this as quickly as we can, all right?
04:54From what I understand, you've been told about Antonio.
04:57Is that correct?
04:58Do you know that he passed?
05:00Yeah.
05:01Okay.
05:03Can you kind of just walk me through what happened tonight?
05:09So we were at the party, and I was sitting here, and he was sitting next to me.
05:13Antonio?
05:14Yeah.
05:15And he had the baby in his arms because she was about to go to sleep.
05:19And then the fight broke out in front of us.
05:22And as soon as they started fighting, I ran towards the band because there was a door to go out.
05:28And then I looked behind me, and he wasn't behind me.
05:30And then when I came back, they had him on the floor.
05:34We had the shot to his chest.
05:37Where were you guys at?
05:40So there was a line of tables here.
05:44We were about right here.
05:47And the fight was over here.
05:50Did you see what the fight was about?
05:52No, they just started arguing, and then one punched the other, and he fell.
05:56And that's where they shot.
05:59Did you see the person with the gun?
06:01No.
06:02You never saw anybody with a gun?
06:03It sounded like there was two guns.
06:06Okay, and you came back, and Antonio, he was on the ground.
06:09Yeah, he was on the floor, and his sister was, like, putting pressure on the chest.
06:14And she told me, I saw when he got shot, and he threw the baby under the table.
06:20According to Antonio's sister, he was trying to shield their four-year-old daughter.
06:25Did you ever see anybody with a gun, even afterwards?
06:29No.
06:29No?
06:31So whose party is it?
06:33My husband's cousin's wife.
06:35It was her birthday?
06:37Yeah.
06:37No.
06:39She gives him the woman's name and phone number.
06:44This is nothing I can do to bring him back.
06:50Okay.
06:51Is there anything else that you need from me?
06:55Any questions or anything like that?
06:59Okay.
07:01I'm very sorry.
07:04I'll be working nonstop until I can figure out who did this, okay?
07:09Okay.
07:10I'm very sorry for your loss.
07:12I'll get you out of here, okay?
07:22The victim, Antonio, he wasn't involved in any of it.
07:26He was just sitting at the table, just watching over his daughter, you know, and takes a round.
07:33He tried to hide his daughter underneath the table, and then he collapsed down to the ground.
07:40So, you know, these guys are being very reckless, shooting firearms with this many people in a room.
07:50All right.
07:52Farrell speaks with the wife and 14-year-old daughter of the surviving victim who was shot in the leg.
07:59Where were you at exactly inside?
08:02I'm going to draw that for you.
08:10We was over here on this side.
08:13These two tables over here.
08:15Did you see what caused the fight?
08:18I know that my husband, I think he was kind of mad because one of the guys, I think they're
08:26trying to give a liquor to her.
08:28And my husband looked him like mad.
08:31And then a few minutes later is when I saw the guy come and, like, saying something to him, and
08:36then they start, like, fighting.
08:37So that kind of started the fight?
08:39That's what I think.
08:42He hit my dad first.
08:44I remember he had a blue shirt on.
08:47And he was Mexican, and he had black hair, and he didn't have a hat on or anything.
08:52And then all of a sudden, I see my brother and my dad and that guy on the floor.
08:55And they were all just hitting each other.
08:58And then I saw, like, if he was black, and he, like, hit my dad right here.
09:01I just hit him with a gun like that.
09:04With a gun?
09:05Yeah, he had a gun.
09:07But I feel like he was mixed because his skin, it was not, like, dark, dark.
09:12And then his hair is curly.
09:14Maybe mixed race?
09:16Like, Mexican and black.
09:18Okay.
09:20And that guy was, like, trying to shoot my husband.
09:23And then do like this, and then I start, like, shooting, like, the tables behind it.
09:27Is he the only one that you saw with a gun?
09:30No.
09:31And there was another guy with the, um, jean jacket, the white jacket.
09:36That guy, I saw him in the corner doing like this.
09:40Where was he at over here?
09:42Over here, almost in the corner where the bathroom was.
09:45Okay.
09:46Can you describe him to me?
09:48He was a spinnaker for sure.
09:50He was having some, um, dark glasses over here on the back.
09:54Like eyeglasses, sunglasses?
09:55Like sunglasses.
09:57Blue jeans.
09:58Blue jeans.
10:00And I think it was like a jean jacket with white.
10:04And he was, like, around six foot.
10:07He was skinny though.
10:09Uh, how old do you think he was?
10:11I was seven.
10:1319, 20.
10:14Yeah.
10:17Did you ever see your husband with a gun?
10:20Mm-mm.
10:21No.
10:22All right.
10:24I think that's all I have.
10:27Thank you for coming down.
10:29Oh, thank you.
10:36Ma'am, come with me right here.
10:40I'm like, it looks like gunshots.
10:42I didn't see nobody shooting.
10:44It all happened so fast.
10:46I just hear a cock of a gun, and then shots fired.
10:49Do you know who shot him?
10:51Do you know him?
10:52Do you know him?
10:59The one you saw shooting, how would you describe him?
11:03I just know he was a light-skinned male.
11:06I see.
11:06And he was taller.
11:08He was probably, like, six foot maybe.
11:12Skinny?
11:13Heavy?
11:13Um, he was, like, mid-mean built.
11:15He wasn't skinny, but he wasn't fat either.
11:18Do you remember what color clothing he had on?
11:21I don't know.
11:22It's because of everything that happened.
11:24My memory just went blank at that second.
11:27Okay.
11:28So, what was going on?
11:30It looked like a quinceanera or a burrito.
11:32It was a lady's birthday.
11:33It was this lady's birthday.
11:34They were friends with my parents.
11:36Okay.
11:37That's how we got invited to that party.
11:38Okay.
11:40It was her birthday.
11:42And then her, um, son had some friends there.
11:48They were the ones that were shooting.
11:52Now, I'm sure if you question her son, he's gonna know who it is,
11:55because they weren't there hanging out with him.
12:13And this is her son right there.
12:16His name is .
12:23How many people were in his group?
12:25It was probably, like, five or six.
12:27Five or six?
12:28Yeah.
12:28Okay.
12:29I know there are more bacchanal, like, cowboy type.
12:32He was not bacchanal.
12:33Okay.
12:34He was, like, a banger.
12:35But it's, like, baggy pants and all his little friends with tattoos and Jordans.
12:42Do you remember, like, where and his group were hanging out inside?
12:47They were right here.
12:49And you're not aware of anyone in their group getting shot?
12:53No.
12:54Because nobody else had those.
13:00Right here.
13:11Getting some good information about one of the shooters.
13:15Nobody knows who he is, unfortunately, right now.
13:19So we're still trying to get a name of who this guy is.
13:24The birthday girl's son is his group of friends.
13:30He knows them.
13:31Yeah.
13:36That's probably going to be the address.
13:46We're headed out to Sand Springs.
13:49This girl that threw the birthday party.
13:51Her son is supposedly friends with the suspects that we're trying to ID.
14:00What's this one?
14:10Hello.
14:12Can we talk to you?
14:14Yep.
14:15Come here.
14:26They're coming downtown.
14:28They're going to follow us.
14:36All right.
14:37I'm Detective Farrell.
14:38I'm here to talk to you about what happened out there at the party.
14:43Farrell speaks with the son of the woman who hosted the party.
14:47When it all started, we was all chilling and I was in the back corner.
14:52I took a shot.
14:53I wasn't really trying to drink.
14:55I hate drinking.
14:56I hate feeling hungover.
14:57But I took some shots.
14:59I sat down.
15:01I was sitting there.
15:02And then I wasn't feeling hung.
15:03Close to the bathroom.
15:04I'm throwing up.
15:06I'm washing my face.
15:07I took a drink of water.
15:09Bryce don't grab the door.
15:09I hear screaming and I hear shots.
15:12When I walk out, that's when everyone's already shooting and then fighting and running.
15:19I see my cousins fighting.
15:21Who are they fighting?
15:23I don't know.
15:24I don't know them.
15:29Who else was there that wasn't locked up with somebody?
15:33Weecho and his brother, Max.
15:36Weecho?
15:37Yeah, Weecho.
15:37I don't know how to spell that one.
15:38They're second cousins.
15:40They're like distant cousins.
15:42Those are the ones that I was really kind of hanging out with.
15:48So are you aware that people are saying it's your friends that were shooting?
15:54I mean, I could say it was one of them, but I don't know who it was.
16:01Whenever you walked outside, did you see someone with a gun?
16:12What kind of gun was it?
16:13It was probably a block.
16:17But I don't know who shot.
16:18Because when I walked out, there was no more shooting.
16:23Max, he had the gun like this side, kind of like that.
16:26So I don't know if he shot.
16:29Does he have Facebook or anything like that?
16:33Yeah.
16:42Max Perez?
16:44Perez.
16:48Do you mind if I look at this real quick?
16:54Is this a picture of him?
16:57Yeah, that's him.
17:01That guy in the corner doing like this.
17:04It was like a jean jacket with white.
17:10Was Max wearing those sunglasses tonight too?
17:13Yeah.
17:15He was having some dark glasses over here in the back.
17:18Sunglasses.
17:21You and Cecil's glasses everywhere you go.
17:38Is that what he looks like right now?
17:40Yeah.
17:46Where does Max live at?
17:49I think it's like B.A. or somewhere far out there.
17:53He says he lives in Broken Arrow, a suburb 14 miles away.
17:57What kind of car does Max drive?
18:07He says like in a relationship with .
18:11She is Max's girl.
18:15Who else did you see with a gun?
18:18Uh, just Max when I walked out.
18:22Who did Max leave with?
18:25Honestly, I don't know.
18:26And Weecho, do you have him on Facebook?
18:29Weecho...
18:30I don't think so.
18:32What was Weecho wearing?
18:34Weecho was wearing just a plain black shirt.
18:37Do you have a number for Weecho?
18:39No.
18:40I don't have a number of Max's.
18:42You carry a gun?
18:44Yeah.
18:45Did you shoot?
18:46No.
18:47No.
18:47I walked out.
18:48Did you pull the gun out?
18:48I was about to, but then that's when I see Max,
18:50and I was worried about Max trying to do some more stupid
18:53if he did shoot.
18:54So I grabbed him because he had a gun like that.
18:58What about Weecho?
19:00I know he has guns.
19:01I don't know if he had one on him.
19:04All right.
19:05Just hang tight for me.
19:14He puts a gun in Max's hand.
19:16Yeah.
19:17Most of the people are saying the guy that was shooting
19:20was standing in the area where the birthday girl's son
19:23said that he saw Max.
19:25They described that jacket.
19:28He was wearing sunglasses.
19:30I mean, clothing-wise, facial, the sunglasses, everything about it is Max.
19:4028-year-old Maximiliano Perez Pina was born in Los Angeles.
19:45He attended high school in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
19:49He has no prior convictions.
19:53Weecho.
19:54Whoever that is.
19:55It's supposed to be Max's brother, but I don't know his name.
20:00The warrants' squad will look out for Max
20:02as detectives prepare lineups for their witnesses.
20:05I don't want to wait too long.
20:08That gun's going to be gone before too long.
20:21The next day.
20:23That guy.
20:25Sweet.
20:27Mark showed about four or five different people the photo lineups
20:31and every one of them picked Max Perez as being the shooter.
20:38So we have PC now.
20:39We're working on a warrant.
20:42He does have a white Volkswagen that's registered to him.
20:45It's a Volkswagen Jetta.
20:48Figure out the tag.
20:54About an hour after the murder,
20:56he has to get an axon hit on his car at 71st and Louis going west.
21:01Max's car was spotted six miles away from the crime scene.
21:07So we learned that Max is driving a little white sedan.
21:10We tracked that car out to the area of 71st and Yale.
21:22Morris just found the car.
21:24All right.
21:26Warrants had been out looking for it.
21:28that they found it at an apartment complex.
21:35Warrants has gone and talked to management out there
21:37and learned that Max's girlfriend is actually renting an apartment
21:40right in front of where that car is found.
21:44Our warrants units, they're sitting up on that right now.
21:48I need you to contain the helmet and we should be good.
21:52Fellas, he starts shooting at us.
21:55I'll meet y'all out there.
22:03We're headed down south part of Tulsa.
22:06We know that Max has a girlfriend who lives down here at this apartment.
22:09His car is there.
22:19That's his car right there.
22:251632, we're going to start announcements.
22:29This is the most rich apartment.
22:32We need to go outside with nothing in your room
22:34so make you look for the officers.
22:59All right.
22:59I'm gonna have point number of.
23:011,000.
23:042,000.
23:052,000.
23:051,000.
23:05We need to get to the car.
23:16All right, 40's moving up.
23:29You ready?
23:35Where?
23:38Nobody's in there. Max isn't in there. Department's empty.
23:43His girlfriend, I don't know if she has a car or not, but if she does, they're probably gone.
23:51This thing's gassed pretty bad, so it's going to have to air out
23:54quite a while before we actually go in there. We'll get crime scene out here.
24:12They found a couple of mags for a rifle, a pistol, holster, and that's really about it.
24:20No jean jacket.
24:22We contacted Max's work. He's not shown up. Max's girlfriend, she hasn't shown up for work.
24:30Max has turned his phone off. I assume that they're probably together at this point,
24:35so I'm going to look into her phone, and maybe that can direct us to where they're at.
24:42We'll leave it up to Warren's. Thank you, guys.
24:45Yes, sir.
25:07Six days into the investigation, as the warrant squad continues to search for Max and his girlfriend.
25:13I got one witness on the second shooter.
25:16Farrell gets another lead.
25:18I got information through Crimestopper's tip that the other shooter involved in this was
25:23Max's brother, Weecho.
25:27His name's Luis Perez, so I'm going to put a photo lineup together.
25:32We'll see.
25:36We're headed to show a photo lineup to the wife of Manuel.
25:39Manuel was shot in the leg.
25:41She was there when all this happened, and she was really close to this second shooter.
25:46So we'll go see if she can pick out Luis.
25:52Hi, how are you?
25:53I'm going to have him show it to you, okay?
26:03Well, thank you for your time.
26:08She picked him.
26:10Yeah.
26:12The witness identifies Luis Perez as the second shooter.
26:18She went like, boom, boom, boom. That's him right there. That's the one who had a darker
26:23complected. She said, that was the one that was, had a gun that was trying to get at my husband.
26:29If you're going to get a warrant out for brothers, that's going to be awesome.
26:39Luis Angel Perez, he's the one they were calling Weecho.
26:45He doesn't have any serious past charges.
26:4927 year old Luis Angel Perez was born and raised in Tulsa.
26:54He works for a metal fabricating company.
27:00So warrants got information about Luis's phone.
27:04The business way out east, Tulsa recovered it.
27:08It was tossed under the bridge. So I'm thinking he tried to toss it in the river and it didn't
27:14quite make it. We learned that Luis works in West Tulsa. Warrants went out there and contacted his
27:21bosses. They notified them that he didn't show up. They were also informed that Luis's girlfriend had
27:28shown up out there trying to get his paycheck and notified them that Luis would be gone indefinitely.
27:34That tells me that Luis is probably on the run and has a big part of this.
27:40Luis's girlfriend, we ended up getting her contact information.
27:45We've been able to reach out to her to see if she'll come in and talk to us.
27:49I'm typing up a search warrant for her phone.
28:00The next day.
28:02My name is Nathan Schilling. I'm a detective up here.
28:06Luis's girlfriend agrees to come to homicide.
28:11The birthday party, were you there?
28:16Okay, did you know the birthday girl?
28:20What do you remember happening leading up to and during the shooting?
28:26Well, I mean, I'm not sure because I didn't see it happen. I heard shots and right now I'm just
28:31looking at everybody else's dead.
28:33So what happened after you ran out?
28:37So when you left, did Luis leave with you?
28:42Live together?
28:45Where's Luis right now?
28:47I'm not sure.
28:48When did he leave?
28:51Uh, excuse me, I haven't heard from him since.
28:55How long have you guys been together?
28:59In five years.
29:01You've been together five years and he just leaves without telling you where he's going or why he's leaving?
29:06He said, I'm going to the store. I'm going to my mom's. I'm going.
29:11He said, I'll be back.
29:12He said, I'll be back.
29:14And he left. And that was Sunday?
29:17How did he leave?
29:20I'm not sure.
29:22Did you try to call him?
29:24Yeah.
29:24I mean, obviously he just knows his voice.
29:29Okay.
29:30If you lie to help Luis,
29:34at a minimum, that's considered obstruction, which is misdemeanor.
29:39And at a maximum, it's considered an accessory after the fact.
29:43So you don't know where he's at or where he would go?
29:47No.
29:50So you know someone died, correct?
29:53Yeah, I was going to say so.
29:56Here's the deal.
29:57We have a warrant to search your phone.
30:06So her boyfriend is one of our suspects, and she wants to sit there and act like she doesn't know
30:11anything about what's going on. But yet, he disappears the day of the murder and hasn't called or
30:18texted, hadn't told her where he was going, nothing. Depending on if she's given him any aid to skip town
30:28and to avoid detection and arrest, she could be looking at some trouble.
30:38So a little over a week after the murder, she receives $1,000 from Luis in a transfer.
30:50And then later that same day, she transfers $16,630 to a lady, and I'm assuming, in Mexico. You're not
31:00going to transfer pesos in America, so there's a very good chance our boy's down in Mexico.
31:21It would appear that Luis's girlfriend might be leaving some stuff out.
31:30I'll see what she's got to say.
31:38Is what you've told me the truth?
31:43Told you what I know, at least.
31:45When's the last time you had any contact or heard anything from Luis?
31:51It was that night.
31:53Okay. So did Luis send you $1,000 on Monday?
31:58Um, his account did. I'm not sure how I got it, but I have it on my phone.
32:03Mm-hmm.
32:04And then what did you do with that $1,000?
32:09Um, I'd be rent.
32:11Here locally?
32:12Mm-hmm.
32:13Not in Mexico?
32:14Mm-hmm.
32:17Who is...
32:19Grandma.
32:21Your grandma?
32:22Mm-hmm.
32:23And what did you send her Monday?
32:26Saturday night.
32:29What do you think that looks like?
32:32I don't know. What are you guys thinking?
32:35It looks like you're sending money to him in Mexico.
32:41I want to talk to my lawyer at this point,
32:43because I feel like anything I say, you guys are going to twist around.
32:47Because you guys...
32:47That's probably a good idea.
32:49Because remember what I told you?
32:51You could be an accessory, or you could be obstruction.
32:54Mm-hmm.
32:55Based on what I see in your phone,
32:58I'm going to go with accessory.
33:08Max's girlfriend decided to jump in the water with him,
33:12and Luis's girlfriend made the same decision.
33:15So we'll see what the DA's office thinks about it.
33:24Detectives in the Warrant Squad continue the hunt for Max,
33:28his girlfriend, and Luis.
33:34A month into the search.
33:37We got Max's girlfriend's phone records back.
33:40This shows that she's leaving Tulsa on the 28th, that night.
33:44She goes through Oklahoma City, travels down to Dallas.
33:48Going deeper into her phone records,
33:50we found out that she had made a stop at a quick trip down in Dallas.
33:55They're both together.
34:02Her last hit on her cell phone was north of Laredo, Texas,
34:06at a bus stop right at the border to Mexico.
34:10It's a bus station used to travel from the U.S. down to Mexico.
34:18We got their passenger logs at 9.15 on the 29th.
34:24Max's girlfriend, Max Perez and Luis Perez, all boarded a bus.
34:30Their destination was in Zacatecas, Mexico, which is where she's from.
34:37We know they're down there in Mexico.
34:39They're together.
34:41We've been in contact with the feds
34:43and they've been in contact with authorities down in Mexico
34:47and they're working that end of it.
34:51It's going to be a long process.
34:53They could be caught next week.
34:54They could be caught four years from now.
34:58We were also able to get flawed camera footage from the area.
35:03The car that they're in at the quick trip, Nissan Versa.
35:07It's going to be Luis's girlfriend's car.
35:10How did he leave?
35:12I'm not sure.
35:14The DA, they've decided to file charges for accessory
35:18for both Luis's girlfriend and Max's girlfriend.
35:23Luis's girlfriend is getting arraigned for accessory.
35:27We're going to make contact with her
35:28to see if she'll come talk to us.
35:36All right.
35:38Luis's girlfriend agrees to return to homicide
35:41with her attorney.
35:45That's a picture of your car in Dallas.
35:49That's Dallas, Texas.
35:51Okay.
35:51Your car is down in Dallas where they get on a bus
35:56and they go to Mexico.
36:01Did you drive him to Dallas?
36:05No.
36:08Now's the time to be honest.
36:23I know you have a lot more information
36:25than what you're telling me right now.
36:30I get it looks guilty, like, obviously for leaving,
36:33but I don't want to say something I don't even know.
36:35We're not asking you to say anything you don't know,
36:37but I think it's reasonable to assume
36:41he's nervous he wants to leave
36:42because he's involved in something.
36:45Yeah.
36:46Okay, well, do you assume that Max and Luis
36:49were the ones that were involved in this murder?
36:53Um, not Luis, no.
36:55I don't believe that.
36:57What if I told you that it's a definite
37:01that there were two people that were shooting?
37:04And I have multiple witnesses
37:05that picked both of them out of photo arms.
37:09A lot of people were firing shots,
37:11but my back was doing so I never, like, saw what happened.
37:15So you couldn't say it wasn't Luis?
37:17No, I can't, because I never saw what happened.
37:22Who did you send the money to in Mexico?
37:25I don't remember the name.
37:27But originally you had said
37:28it was your grandma or something.
37:31But that's not your grandma.
37:32Yeah.
37:37What did Luis tell you about what happened?
37:40He never went into detail about what happened.
37:44And I kind of was just like,
37:46well, you got yourself in the sense.
37:50Because I didn't do anything,
37:51so I was just pissed that it was even a thing,
37:54that it even happened.
37:57All right.
37:58I think we're done.
38:03Luis's girlfriend and Max's girlfriend
38:05assisted them in leaving the country.
38:08They're both being charged
38:09as an accessory to the murder.
38:12You just never know what some people think
38:15and how they treat certain situations, you know.
38:18They should have just called the police
38:20to let us know where they were.
38:22They obviously had a choice to make,
38:24and they just chose the wrong one.
38:32Two months later.
38:35Max and Luis were both picked up
38:36in Zacatecas, Mexico.
38:39The FBI had their contacts down there.
38:42They ended up getting them arrested.
38:44They'd been brought back,
38:45and they're now in Tulsa.
38:48On the way over here from the jail,
38:49Luis, he lawyered up.
38:51All your phone.
38:54Anyone?
38:55I've got a search warrant for his DNA
38:56and fingerprints,
38:57so we're going to do that
38:58and then send him back over there.
39:05What's up, Max?
39:06Hey.
39:06I'm Detective Farrell.
39:08These slurs are silly.
39:10Slurs.
39:13You know why you're here?
39:15Yes, I do.
39:16You're willing to talk to me, okay,
39:18about what happened?
39:19I'll just have you sign right there.
39:21I don't.
39:22Okay.
39:23Do you want an attorney?
39:24Yes, sir.
39:25This is a search warrant.
39:27That's for your DNA.
39:31Unfortunately, he doesn't want to tell us
39:33this side of the story.
39:35You know, there's always unanswered questions,
39:37and we'd like to, you know,
39:38see the other side of the story,
39:40but unfortunately,
39:42he chose not to provide that.
39:48We didn't get a statement from Max and Luis.
39:51I think they already had it in their mind
39:53that they weren't going to talk to us.
39:56It originally started because someone had tried to give an underage girl
40:00some alcohol at the party,
40:02which stirred up an argument.
40:05At some point, Max bumped into one of the people
40:08that were over by Antonio,
40:09which started up the fight,
40:11which resulted in Max and Luis both pulling out guns and shooting.
40:14And I mean,
40:17it's unfortunate.
40:18With a big group party with young kids there,
40:21there was no reason to have guns there.
40:24Antonio had nothing to do with any of it.
40:27He wasn't a part of the fight or anything.
40:29He happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.
40:31It's very tragic.
41:30He was a part of the fight.
41:31Let's go see Papa.
41:33She knows that he's, you know, at the cemetery
41:35and she knows that he's sleeping
41:37because that's what I told her
41:38when she saw him in the casket.
41:42When they were shooting,
41:44he hugged her like this.
41:45And then he threw her under the table
41:48so she wouldn't get shot.
41:50So behind the baby's dress is his blood.
41:54That's something of him that's there.
41:57It's my turn.
42:00My turn.
42:01It's my turn.
42:03He worked very hard to accomplish a lot of things.
42:10He loved rodeos.
42:12Every Sunday,
42:13he would go to the rodeo and perform.
42:18He grew up without a father,
42:20so he wanted to make sure that his kids,
42:22you know, they had everything,
42:24you know, and they did.
42:26I miss everything about him.
42:28Like, you lost your other half, you know?
42:33And we have been together for this long,
42:35so it's like, how do you live, you know?
42:38All right, so I'm pretty excited for this long.
42:39OK.
42:39So I'm ready to see you next Sunday.
42:40Bye.
42:40I'm sorry.
42:40Bye.
42:41Bye.
42:41Bye.
42:42Bye.
42:42Bye.
42:42Bye.
42:42Bye.
42:42Bye.
42:43Bye.
42:44Bye.
