WATCH: Nurse Louise Farmer takes us for a tour of the mobile skin cancer check clinic.
Transcript
00:04So this is our incredible truck. I'll just show you through. So we've just got a little
00:09kitchen area for our nurses to have a break. Most of the time, you know, we're in rural
00:15and remote communities, so we need to have a little space. You'll notice we've got these
00:19plaques around the truck, which has been donated from family and supporters of the foundation.
00:24So our patients will come into the truck and do a check-in here. We've got a patient in
00:29there at the moment, so we won't go in. This is just our waiting space. Two consult rooms.
00:38And then this is our Vectra Riddick and the Vectra machine, which is our imaging machine.
00:45So our patients come in here, they have a really quick image. They get down into their underwear,
00:53come into here, stand like the airport security pose, I guess, closing their eyes. The image
01:01is taken, 92 cameras all at once. And then about five to seven minutes, the image is created,
01:07which creates an avatar of that person. Doesn't get into the hair, the soles of the feet or
01:13under the underwear. But then they will move on to have a full body skin check with our nurses.
01:17So that's helpful.
01:18Let's start with our friends.
01:18Let's leave.
01:18Mmm.
01:18There was a situation there that's supposed to be.
01:22It got to be said, maybe there's no one else.
