Hundreds of Tasmanians have turned out to greet Queen Mary of Denmark during her first official visit to her home state in over 20 years. The royal couple ended their Australian tour with visits to Hobart’s art, food, and industry hotspots and got up close with local people and wildlife.

01:07before the couple mixed with art royalty at the Museum of Old and New Art.
01:15Tasmania is the last stop of the Royal Tour after visits to Uluru, Canberra and Melbourne.
01:21And it's the first time the couple have visited the state on an official basis
01:25since becoming King and Queen of Denmark.
