Danish Queen Mary makes official visit to Kenya

The queen of Denmark arrived in Kenya for a three-day official visit on Tuesday night. It is the second African country the Danish royal is visiting in two months, following a visit to Egypt for a reception hosted by the Danish Embassy in Cairo.

00:18At the airport she was greeted by Cabinet Secretary and Minister for Foreign Affairs Musalia Mudavadi.
00:25The Queen also met Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Rebecca Miano.
00:34During her visit, Queen Mary is set to tour several wildlife conservation projects at the coast,
00:40as well as landfill initiatives meant to improve waste management.
00:46A meeting at the United Nations office in Nairobi is also included.
00:52The state visit is aimed at strengthening collaboration between Kenya and Denmark
00:57in renewable energy, climate action and environmental protection.
