00:30It is an amazing opportunity to tell a completely different type of Batman story, you know, much more about the
00:34detective, the world's greatest detective, and getting inside Batman's head.
00:42Suiting up is probably way up there for the ultimate Batman experience we've been able to create to date, you
00:49know, as a single moment in time.
00:50Putting the cowl on your head and becoming the Batman, and then the mirror comes in and you see your
00:56reflection in the mirror, and it confirms to you, face to face, you are Batman.
01:01It's kind of mind-blowing, you know, especially for the first time.
01:05We were keen to bring in Batman's gadgets and the gadget belt, the old faithful bat claw which gets you
01:10around the environment.
01:11You actually take it off the belt, you aim it at the target, you shoot, off you go.
01:15And then on the other side we come up with a new gadget, an all-new gadget, the forensic scanner
01:18gadget, that is effectively our detective mode for VR world.
01:21We use it like a torch, and then Batman can piece together the evidence using the scanner gadget.
01:27As with any Arkham game that comes out of Rocksteady, we spend a lot of time layering in secrets, cameos,
01:34details.
01:35Every single moment in the game has been handcrafted to the hundredth degree.
01:40You're going to meet some different supervillains as you play through, you're going to get stuck in a death trap
01:46that you need to figure out your way out of.
01:48And it's kind of, we wanted to create a series of different scenes that all felt unique when you play
01:53through them as well.
01:54But I don't kind of want to give away too much, because kind of unravelling what's happening is all part
01:58of the mystery.
02:00We had Jeff Johns from DC, he put it on.
02:04And usually you want, when you put someone into VR, you kind of want to make sure they're in a
02:07safe zone, that they don't go too crazy.
02:09But he just went all over the place.
02:12I mean, he was ducking down, he was looking at everything.
02:15Those are the kind of experiences that when I see people go like that, I just, I really do get
02:19a good feeling of seeing that.
02:20And just the shock of when they put it on, and then they go, oh my God, I'm Batman.
02:25Yeah, those are kind of the best experiences I've seen.
02:27And they do a little flex, or a little dance.
02:30I always get a shiver every time I'm going down to the Batcave.
02:34I just don't know what it is, I just look around, and I just think, I can't believe how amazing
02:39this looks.
02:39And feels as well, and feeling's a big thing as well, and so you really do feel that.
02:44You're just there.
02:46To be inside Batman's world, and be treated like Batman, and react like Batman in this world,
02:51and actually try and solve a crime as Batman is something that's really special.
