07:19The Rangers is a very fast for a Dwarf.
07:22Which means that they can do that quick maneuvering, get in around behind and throw the precursor then engage.
07:27This is a really fantastic unit, quite powerful.
07:30Much better than the regular Rangers, the Great Weapons variant is way better.
07:39Now we've kind of pushed back the main green screen for us, but they're going to have some reinforcements coming
07:43in.
07:43You can just about see it on the radar now that they're coming in from the far end.
07:46so we'll have to check what that is
07:49let's just get our guns lined up
07:51and all our missiles lined up
07:54but that's right
07:55we've got some squighoppers, some squigherd
07:57and some goblin wolf riders coming in
08:00these guys are going to mop up
08:01the allies artillery first
08:03before they can come down to me
08:04but we're going to have to be mindful of that
08:07and they've got another unit at the back coming in
08:09they've already hit my lines
08:10these are the squigherd
08:11they are kind of monstrous cavalry
08:13that have really good anti-infantry capabilities
08:16that will just come in, smash your lines
08:17and do really good damage to them when they're in there
08:19the squighoppers are kind of more light cavs style unit
08:23so you want to watch out for the ones that don't have the riders on top
08:26they're especially difficult to beat
08:29so I'm just telling everybody to get off the artillery
08:31pull back and let my main line come back and fight these guys
08:37you've got to love their animations
08:38they're just little balls of flesh
08:41that basically just jump around
08:42roll into you and throw your units all around the place
08:45and they eat them too
08:48and we've got the organ gunners firing down at the other squigs in the distance
08:51and the goblin wolf rider
08:52so my ally holds them off and deals with them
09:08so my ally is holding off a unit of squigs by himself as well
09:11we're actually starting to lose a few units
09:12about two or three of them are starting to rout
09:14and a lot of my units are down on 20, 30, 20 kind of unit count
09:19so it was getting a little bit difficult
09:21I was worried we were going to have a little chain route
09:23but Bellaguard is on full health
09:24he's doing awesome
09:25so we don't have anything to worry about really
09:29so I'm just mounting up my artillery again
09:31trying to get them to fire
09:32there's just a few pockets of units left holding out
09:35there's a couple of squig units
09:37and a couple of infantry units that we just got to surround
09:39the ally
09:39my ally seems to be doing okay
09:41out in the distance
09:41their general is still alive as well
09:43so things are going quite good
09:59yeah it looks like he's doing just fine out there
10:00I mean he's stretched a bit thin
10:02but we've got our artillery firing down on them
10:05so it should be no problem at all
10:07we've got everybody else grouping up on these last few remaining units
10:10the squigs are actually destroying my artillery
10:12when they're charging into them like that
10:14they're a very powerful charge to them
10:20and good god can they swallow a dwarf
10:29so there's not much left to do now
10:31let's just mop up these last couple of units
10:32and then we should be golden
10:34it did take me a while just to kind of surround them
10:36I thought they'd break a lot quicker than I thought
10:37so we're just finishing them off
10:44this video makes the battle come across as being quite easy
10:46but it did take me a few attempts
10:48in order to kind of master what to do with it
10:50you've got to make sure you're putting your bow throwers down on iron jaw
10:53you need to know when to bring the rangers in around the back
10:55you need to have your kind of dwarf warriors leading the front
10:57and holding their line
10:59and you need to know about the reinforcements coming in
11:01otherwise they will catch you off guard on that first attempt
11:07and it's just my dwarves left around victorious
11:09some of them have red shields and blue shields
11:11I really love this different colour scheme for the dwarves
11:14I think it looks fantastic
11:16my ally marching around successfully as well
11:18Balagar took like absolutely no damage
11:21I don't really think I put him in the fight too much
11:23but my god yeah he barely took any damage at all
11:25he's done really well for himself
11:26he's just sitting on top of a pile of bodies as well
11:31proudly banging his shield
11:33alright so yeah that's going to be it for the battle
11:35it was still a pyrrhic victory
11:36if you look at the stats
11:38we can see that I lost just about like half my force
11:41and my ally lost over half of their force as well
11:44and we did well to take out Iron Jaw early on
11:46and you can see just the sheer amount of enemies that come at you in this battle
11:50so we've got a total of about 1,000
11:51about 2,100 and they've got about 3,000
11:54but yeah I think it's quite an enjoyable battle
