05:07First, loosen your forehead. In fact, loosen every muscle in your face. Good. Without doing

10:52I have another little tool here with me and no need to open your eyes but what does it sound
11:00like
11:02You can just tell me your guess.
11:17Yes, it is a spoolie with one side of this brush being the spoolie with kind of rough bristles and
11:28the other half being a very soft brush.
11:33Brush, spoolie.
11:37So I'm going to touch your face with either the spoolie or the soft brush.
11:44They feel pretty different.
11:47Tell me which side is touching your face, okay?
11:53Yes.
11:57Yep.
12:01Yep.
12:05Yes, okay, I'm going to do the same thing to your ears.
12:08Are you ready?
12:12Good.
12:17Good.
12:20Yep.
12:24Yep.
12:27You did wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
12:40Okay, I have some more instructions I'm going to need you to follow.
12:44So keep listening, keep taking deep breaths.
12:50I think I forgot to tell you this in the beginning, but continually take deep breaths while I am giving
12:58you instructions, okay?
13:07I have another face-touching exercise to do with you, so let me grab that really quick.
13:12I have another face-touching exercise to do with you, so let me grab that really quick.
13:18Without opening your eyes, can you guess what these are?
13:34It's kind of a hard question because not everyone knows, but I will tell you, they are little glass face
13:46massagers that have glitter in them.
13:53And they are designed especially to be put in the fridge, and then they cool down, and they're good at
14:03helping with circulation and redness and puffiness in the face, and they are face massagers.
14:13They also make these really lovely, these really lovely water sounds.
14:24So, again, tell me which ear you hear the water sounds in.
14:31Good.
14:35Good job.
14:37Okay.
14:38Now, one of these is room temperature, and the other is cool from being in the fridge.
14:47I'm going to touch one to your face, and you tell me room temperature, or warm, or cool, cool, cool,
14:57cool.
14:57Are you ready?
15:03All right, I'm touching it to your face now.
15:07Warm, or cool?
15:10Good.
15:11Now, I'm going to go faster, and you tell me, okay?
15:18Good.
15:22Good.
15:26Yep.
15:32Perfect.
15:34Perfect.
15:35Perfect.
15:35Perfect.
15:36Perfect.
15:36Perfect.
15:37You are just, you are just, just too good.
15:41Just too good at this.
15:48I'm going to hold these over your eyes for just a second.
15:56There we go.
15:58All right.
16:01Now, listen to the tapping.
16:17The next set of instructions I have involve some more tapping, so let me grab those.
16:36I have a water bottle, and part of it is rubber, and part of it is glass, and part of
16:43it is wood.
16:46I'm going to tap on all three parts of the water bottle, and you're going to tell me which is
16:51your favorite, okay?
16:53Okay.
16:53Okay.
16:54Okay.
16:56Okay.
16:59And also tell me which of the three you think it is, rubber, glass, or wood.
17:15Okay, a little faster.
17:18Ready?
17:19Also, which was your favorite?
17:21Okay, perfect.
17:23So, here we go.
17:25Good.
17:29Good.
17:33Good.
17:34Good.
17:40Now, that's the wood.
17:42This is the glass.
17:46And this is the wood.
17:49It's just very slightly different.
17:52The rubber is pretty obvious, I think.
17:55Good.
18:04All right, well, that was easy peasy for you, I think.
18:10Easy peasy.
18:12So, next, I have a series of questions that I'm going to ask you, and it is a visualization exercise.
18:21So, if your mind's starting to wander, bring it back to me, bring it back to me, bring it back
18:27to me, okay?
18:27Focus on me.
18:29Not with your eyes, just with your mind.
18:32Focus on me with, or focus on my voice, I should say.
18:36Focus on my voice and focus on my presence here with you.
18:49Okay, so answer these next few questions quickly off instinct, okay?
18:59Okay, so, don't think too hard about it.
19:03Tell me what kind of house your dream house would be.
19:10Starting with the style.
19:13Victorian.
19:15A little cottage.
19:17Super modern.
19:21Okay, now tell me, where is the house?
19:24Is it in a really pretty suburban area, or a big city, or the countryside?
19:34Okay, good.
19:36How many bedrooms?
19:37One, two, three, four, maybe five.
19:43Okay, good, good, good, good.
19:47Let's see.
19:48Does it have a pool?
19:52Does it have a garden?
19:56Okay.
19:57Okay, okay, okay, okay.
20:02Okay, so next.
20:07I want you to tell me three things that you feel right now.
20:14And what I mean by that is physically feel.
20:17So, maybe you feel your bed or your chair, or maybe you feel hot or cool.
20:28Things like that.
20:29Physical sensations.
20:31Three.
20:32Three.
20:33Three.
20:33Not four.
20:34Not five.
20:35Three.
20:36Tell them to me.
20:43Okay.
20:45Next.
20:46Tell me two things that you hear.
20:52If you can only hear my voice, you should be hearing a minimum of two things right now.
21:01So, for example, my voice and my hand sounds.
21:06Maybe my fabric of the jean jacket.
21:11The jean jacket that I'm wearing.
21:23But maybe you hear something else, like a bird dripping outside, or something like that.
21:39Okay, so two things that you hear.
21:41And lastly, I'm not going to ask you what you see, because you should see only darkness, because your eyes
21:54are closed.
21:56So, I'm going to ask you one thing that you smell.
22:03That you smell right now.
22:07If you smell anything at all, because when you stay for a long time in a room, or when you've
22:16been exposed, excuse me, to a smell for a long time, your nose tends to, or your brain tends to
22:25erase it.
22:26So, if you smell something, tell me what it is.
22:29Tell me what it is.
22:31Tell me what it is.
22:44I smell a candle that I just got done burning, that is mint and eucalyptus.
22:55And I see, I see a plant.
22:59And I see a light.
23:02And I see a tapestry hanging on my wall.
23:09And I hear an airplane passing by.
23:17And nothing else.
23:19Just maybe the sound of my voice.
23:29Okay, so, I'm going to find that brush that I brushed your face with earlier.
23:35And I'm going to draw shapes on your forehead.
23:39Very little, very little shapes.
23:42And you'll tell me what shape it is, okay?
23:46Okay.
23:47Perfect.
23:55So, I'm actually going to use the other end of it.
24:02And I'm going to draw on your forehead the shape.
24:06Are you ready?
24:08Okay.
24:12One more time.
24:14Okay.
24:15No problem.
24:17Good.
24:18Triangle.
24:19Okay.
24:25Circle.
24:27Yes.
24:32One more time.
24:37Okay.
24:39Parallelogram.
24:40All right.
24:44Yeah, that one's hard, so.
24:49Parallelogram.
24:51Good job.
24:58So, I just have one.
25:02One more set of instructions for you, okay?
25:07Okay.
25:08Okay.
25:11So, I have two objects here with me.
25:15And each of them have one side that is very soft.
25:20And one side that is scratchy.
25:24And you are going to listen with your ears.
25:31And guess which side is the scratchy side and the soft side.
25:38And you are also going to tell me which ear you hear it in.
25:42Are you ready?
25:43Are you ready?
25:44Are you ready?
25:45Are you ready?
25:47Okay.
25:55That's one side.
25:58Okay.
26:02And that's the other.
26:05Good.
26:07You're right.
26:08Okay.
26:11Yep.
26:15Yes.
26:18We're just starting with the very first object right now, okay?
26:27Okay.
26:28Good.
26:33Yep.
26:36Keep those eyes closed.
26:40Good.
26:45Good.
26:47Okay.
26:48So, I'll tell you what it is now.
26:50It's just a body exfoliating pad where one side is very soft fabric.
26:57And the other side is some sort of rubber woven twine or something.
27:07Good for exfoliating.
27:08Okay.
27:13Now, just listen to these noises.
27:19Okay.
27:40All right, let's move on to this second object.
27:45So, I'm going to do the rougher side first, and then the softer side.
27:51And this time, you'll tell me which ear you hear it in, okay?
27:55And tell me if it's the soft side or the rough side after I show you, if that makes sense.
28:06So, rough side, soft side.
28:12Okay, so, here we go. Are you ready?
28:27Okay, so, here we go.
28:29Okay, so, here we go.
28:31Okay, so, here we go.
29:02Good, okay.
29:04Okay, now I'm going to rub this on your ear, okay?
29:07Okay, tell me which side I'm using.
29:19Good.
29:39Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful.
29:50Okay, so, take another deep breath for me.
29:57Okay, and exhale for a long time.
30:07Good.
30:08Now raise your eyebrows.
30:11Now frown.
30:14Now smile.
30:15Not so big.
30:16Just a little smile.
30:19Squeeze your eyes closed.
30:21Good.
30:22Okay.
30:23Now, I know I said that the soft and hard side was my last exercise, but I completely forgot about
30:31our smell test.
30:34I have three smells in jars here with me, and without you opening your eyes, I am going to hold
30:43a jar up to your nose, and you're going to tell me what it smells like, okay?
30:48Almost like a cranial nerve exam.
30:52So.
31:00Here is our first smell.
31:07You're going to hold it up to your nose, and take a deep breath.
31:14What does it smell like?
31:17Yep.
31:19Lavender.
31:21Lavender, lavender, lavender.
31:27This is lavender that you can use for cooking.
31:34Okay, let me grab the next scent.
31:51The lavender didn't really make a sound.
31:58This one makes it a little bit more of a sound.
32:06Okay, so take a deep breath.
32:12It's a little tricky.
32:17Yes, ginger.
32:20Ginger, ginger, ginger, ginger, ginger, ginger, ginger, ginger.
32:26Wonderful.
32:27Wonderful. This last one has a very subtle scent. Since your eyes are closed, I'm going
32:47to describe the bottle. It is a little glass vial with a cork stopper that I am uncorking
32:58right now. You're holding up to your nose. Now take a deep breath because this one's hard.
33:10Salt. Pink Himalayan salt. To be exact. That's actually a really nice sound. What do you
33:27think? Okay. Well, we have reached the end of this session of following my instructions
33:53and you did. Wonderfully, wonderfully, wonderfully. If you so choose, you may open your eyes
34:07right now or keep them closed. It is completely up to you.
34:19Either way, I hope that these instructions have actually helped you become either relaxed
34:27or sleepy. Sometimes to fall asleep, all you need is a very subtle thing for your brain to
34:42focus on. So not something super complicated or creative or, you know what I mean, just something
34:51just enough for you to retain focus. But not, but not, but not get all riled up. So, I hope
35:07that this was able to help.
35:21Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do. And before this time together ends, I would like to
35:33give
35:33a huge, huge, huge, huge, huge, huge shout out to my Patreon community. I don't talk
35:46about my Patreon or the community there that often, but I did want to take just a second
35:53to say thank you. They are awesome. And if you are curious, you should definitely check
36:01that out. But if you are currently falling asleep right now, of course, of course, of course,
36:06because you don't need to. Okay. So, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye. And until, until, until next
36:24time. Bye.
36:54Bye.
36:55Bye.
