00:02England's most prolific goalscorer.
00:07Tottenham Hotspur's most potent striker.
00:12A record breaker in the Bundesliga.
00:16A World Cup golden boot winner.
00:20For the entirety of his extraordinary career,
00:24Harry Kane has found the back of the net more frequently
00:27than just about any Englishman in the country's long history.
00:33Has total attributes as a top-top striker.
00:36Right, left, header, dropping, quality to play assists,
00:41score goal being in the box, score goals arriving.
00:45So, the exceptional striker has shown in many, many years.
00:51On top of that, Kane has led his country with distinction.
00:55And during the 2026 World Cup,
00:58we'll set a new mark for Caps as captain of the Three Lions.
01:02Surpassing legendary figures Bobby Moore and Billy Wright.
01:08And as skipper, he has helped forge a new culture for the England team.
01:13One that prioritises collectivism over individual brilliance.
01:17Leading them to consecutive European Championship finals
01:21and the knockout stages of the past two World Cups.
01:25I like to lead by example.
01:27I think that's a big trait of mine, which, yeah,
01:31setting good examples for the players around me, for the staff,
01:34for the young players coming through.
01:37Despite such individual brilliance, Kane had to wait until he was 31
01:42and scorer of over 400 professional goals
01:46before he lifted his first major trophy,
01:49the 2024-25 Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich.
01:55Yeah, this one feels special.
01:57Obviously, I've won this one before and a few golden boots in my career,
02:00but to do it when we win the championship is that more meaningful
02:03and it's been another good season.
02:06I've enjoyed every moment of it.
02:07There's been some great moments and, yeah,
02:11it was nice to finish with a win today
02:13and obviously to score in the final game as well.
02:15Kane was a natural finisher from an early age
02:18and since breaking through at the highest level in 2014,
02:22he has reached double figures for league goals every season.
02:28The first of many individual accolades arrived
02:31with the 2015 PFA Young Player of the Year award.
02:36Since 2017, Kane has scored at least five goals
02:40every calendar year for England,
02:42hiring the COVID-disrupted 2020 campaign.
02:47It sounds obvious that he wants to be one of the best players in the world,
02:50but actually not every player is committed to being that.
02:54Not every player has that belief,
02:55but also is prepared to commit themselves in training,
02:58in their lifestyle, in everything, and he is.
03:02Ordinarily, goal-scoring feats like this
03:04would be accompanied by mountains of silverware.
03:07But Kane's commitment to Tottenham
03:09and Spurs' reluctant to cash in on their star asset
03:13meant he was rarely in the hunt for honours in England,
03:16despite winning the golden boot three times
03:18and firing his side to the 2019 Champions League final.
03:25A transfer to one of the world's mega clubs
03:28was inevitable at some point,
03:30and that arrived in 2023,
03:32with a move to German giant Bayern Munich.
03:35But even then, Kane had the misfortune to time his arrival in Bavaria
03:40with Bayer Leverkusen's freak campaign under Xabi Alonso,
03:44delaying his trophy celebrations a season longer than anticipated.
03:49I think FC Bayern Munich are one of the biggest clubs in the world,
03:53and I've always said throughout my career
03:55I want to keep improving and keep pushing myself to be the very best,
03:58and I felt like it was the right step in my career
04:01to really push myself and test myself on the highest level.
04:05So that's why I'm here, and I look forward to that challenge.
04:09The Londoner's composure in front of goal, height,
04:12and predatory instincts mark him out as a quintessential number nine.
04:17But his all-round game is far more technical.
04:20As he has matured, he has spent more time dropping into deeper positions
04:24and linking play.
04:27As England's tactics have evolved from the coaching of Gareth Southgate
04:30to Thomas Tuchel, Kane's ability to take part in build-up play
04:35and create space for younger, direct forwards around him,
04:38has become a core aspect of his team's preferred route to goal.
04:42This country probably don't appreciate how good he is
04:46from a footballer point of view.
04:48He's incredible.
04:50This country should appreciate we've got a real special talent.
