00:06Hi everyone, Coyote Montana here, and today, I got something to unbox, and it's something
00:12new this time.
00:13This is a DVD player made by Sony, and it's called the Sony DBP-SR510H.
00:22That's the name of the model, of course.
00:24So, I actually got this at Walmart, and it cost only $39.88, which is not a bad price.
00:34When this first came out, I really don't know how much money it cost.
00:39I don't know if it's either $60 or $70 or something.
00:42If any of you know how much this cost when it first came out, let me know in the comments
00:48below, alright?
00:50So, I noticed that there was another Sony DVD player that kind of looks like this, but
00:56it was a different model.
00:58Because that one didn't have an HDMI port, but this one does because it says HDMI, because
01:08it has an HDMI port on the back.
01:10I've actually seen videos of these on YouTube, and it looks really good.
01:15And I was thinking to myself, maybe I should get this so I can watch my DVDs and that.
01:20But you see, it's not like in a perfect quality.
01:25It just makes the screen size like an HD style.
01:28Also, I want to give a special shout out to a YouTuber named Steven Klinkin for showing,
01:37for revealing something that you might know.
01:40And it's something about changing the screen while having this plugged into an HDMI cable.
01:47So, yeah.
01:49So, this thing doesn't actually come with an HDMI cable.
01:54It only comes in with the RCA cables.
01:58But it does say, but if you look here, it says HDMI output, and it says 1080p upscale.
02:07Because that's how you can tell.
02:09But I actually do have an HDMI cable right here.
02:15Check it out.
02:16This one actually belongs to my Uncle Goober, my dad's brother, of course.
02:20He gave it to my dad, but my dad actually gave it to me.
02:23Because, you know, this one's brand new, and it's never been used, because you can tell
02:27by the covers right there.
02:30So I'll be plugging this onto that.
02:33And I believe it's going to be great.
02:37I mean, the best, I know I've seen a lot of people actually done unboxings of this.
02:44And to be honest, I've actually never seen them be hooked up and plug in the HDMI cable,
02:49because if you actually remember when I did the unboxing of Jim Henson's Turkey Hollow,
02:55and I told you about this DVD player right here, if it can actually switch the screen
03:02size on there, and when I showed you the images, like, ands and Star Wars A New Hope, that's
03:08why I just want to know, like, some answers and proof.
03:12But now, thanks to that, thanks to the YouTuber who showed it, it looks like I finally found
03:19the proof.
03:20Excellent proof, of course, unlike anyone else out there, but all of you are fine.
03:25So let's take a good look at this bad boy here.
03:28So the front looks amazing, and here's the side here, looks pretty nice.
03:32And on the back here, it's the same picture, but you can tell that actually it's in Spanish.
03:40So the one up in front is English, which is how you can tell there.
03:47And it says everything here.
03:50So let's get this bad boy open.
03:54It's going to be great, everyone.
03:56I can't wait to hook this bad boy up.
03:58And I know you might be wondering, do I already have a DVD player?
04:01I actually do, which is made by MagnaFox, and it's an old timer, and believe me, it's
04:07really old.
04:08I do use it, but I'm not actually going to get rid of it to replace it with this.
04:16I'm actually going to hold it, because the reason why I want to hold my old one, it's
04:23because I don't, because, well, let's just say that if something actually happened to
04:29this, you know, like, if something's not working right or something, I'm actually going to,
04:35what I'm actually going to do is that I'm going to use that until I get a newer one.
04:39That would be better.
04:43Okay, so first off, let me get this out, and I believe this is, like, the way how it actually
04:50hooks up.
04:52looks up here.
04:53Let me, let me unbox, open this off screen here.
05:07So I believe all this actually tells you about the way how it's hooked up here.
05:17It says limited warranty, which is right here, but I'm alright.
05:26And here are the guides, and more of this, here, wonder what this is, oh, look at that.
05:36It shows everything that it actually does.
05:39It has photo TV HD, HDMI, DVD player, plus it has compact disc digital video, which means
05:45it can play CDs.
05:46But, I'll actually talk about, about something like that later on in the future videos, of
05:53course.
05:55I'm just not showing it to you all, but I just want to show you this.
05:58Look at that.
06:00Look at that.
06:00CD, DVD player.
06:02Yeah.
06:03You know I love CDs, everyone.
06:11And look at this.
06:13Look at this.
06:15It shows all the steps.
06:17And no worries.
06:19I know how to hook something like this, because I've actually hooked up my Blu-ray player before,
06:25and I did great.
06:26Look at that.
06:27Nice.
06:28But now, let's get on to the real deal.
06:36Let me get the sides here.
06:39First off, we got the RCA cables here.
06:45One, and you can tell that there's two of them.
06:48The first ones can be used to be plugged into the DVD player, and the other one is to plug
06:52on the TV.
06:53So, that's, that's why this makes it like in a 480i, 480 quality.
07:01Pretty nice.
07:05We got the plug here that's attached to it.
07:08Okay.
07:12Okay.
07:13I got it out.
07:15And, I don't want to forget this.
07:17It's a DVD remote.
07:18Look at that.
07:22It has everything on it.
07:23You'll see it more when I get it open.
07:25Just let me try to get this open, so that way you can see.
07:30Let me just use this to get it open.
07:36There we go.
07:42Check it out, everyone.
07:44Look at that.
07:45It has a nice play button, a replay, next, rewind, etc.
07:54Plus, it has audio.
07:55You see, if you watch a movie or something, you'll actually press this and it'll switch
07:59to a different language.
08:00It's, and there's the subtitle button here.
08:02The subtitle button is to pick, is to make the subtitle appear.
08:07And, that's a TV input.
08:09There's the power button.
08:10Everything.
08:11Can't wait to try this out.
08:13And, this takes, triple A batteries.
08:17I'll grab some of those, so you can see them being put in.
08:26Alright, so that's the, that's the remote there.
08:28And now, time to check out the big, the big boy here.
08:36And, it's this.
08:44Oof.
08:45Just give me a moment.
08:47Almost there.
08:49Alright.
08:51There it is, everyone.
08:53There it is.
08:54There it is.
08:54The DVD player itself.
08:57It looks really nice.
08:58And, it says HDMI on it.
09:00Now, there's one thing that's actually, I noticed that, what everyone noticed.
09:04You see, all DVD players always have buttons on the front here.
09:07Always.
09:08But, this one here.
09:10Look at this.
09:12They're actually on top.
09:14So, this is something for me to get used to.
09:16But, I'm not actually going to press the buttons on there that much.
09:19Because, I'll be using this here.
09:22It's good.
09:23And, I believe it's going to be great.
09:25Let me just put these bad boys here so you can see them.
09:29And, I'm going to put this HDMI cable here too.
09:33Along with them.
09:34Because, I'm going to plug this bad boy in.
09:36So, let me get everything cleaned up.
09:39And, hook this bad boy up.
09:43Alright, everyone.
09:44So, there's my old DVD player here.
09:46Made by Magna Fox.
09:48So, here's, so first things first.
09:50By the looks of this.
09:52You see, there's, there's ways that you can actually hook this up.
09:56That's on A or B.
09:57So, as for A.
09:58You see, you need a high definition plus a DVD player.
10:03You see, for the HDMI cable.
10:05It plugs into the port on both the HZTV and the DVD player.
10:10Same thing with the RCA cables.
10:13But, it doesn't matter which ones.
10:15So, for B here.
10:16It has like a, like a sound system here.
10:19Here.
10:19To make it more interesting.
10:21But, I don't actually need it because I already have the sound bar.
10:24Which is, you can actually see right there.
10:26Which is, only plugs in.
10:28Alright, so let's get, let's get this bad, let's get this old timer unhooked and plug in the new, the
10:36bat, the new one in.
10:37It's going to be great.
10:40Okay, so I'm found correct.
10:42It's right here.
10:43Oops!
10:44It's actually stuck because on the bottom it's actually a bit sticky.
10:47Okay, so here it is.
10:49See that everyone?
10:50Right there.
10:52Whew!
10:52Dusty.
10:56Okay.
10:58And now, let me get the plug out of there.
11:03Yeah, you can tell it's actually in this other stuff.
11:06There we go.
11:08Whew!
11:10Now I just need to, um, get rid of, unplug the, the RCA cables off the back of this TV.
11:20There we go.
11:22And now, there we go.
11:26Check it out.
11:27Now, it's unhooked.
11:30And now, it's time to get this, to get this new one in.
11:38First off, let me get the, this thing also that way.
11:43The, the, the, the, the plug would be loosened up.
11:51Would loosen up.
11:54Would loosen up.
11:58Ooh!
11:59Excuse me everyone.
12:00It's just something that I ate.
12:04Okay.
12:06So, time to get this, time to get this in.
12:09Just got to get the plug around this, so it can go through here.
12:15That's how you can, tell, so you can, so I can be able to plug it.
12:19Alright.
12:22Now, as for the RCA cables, let me grab it, the new one of course, and get it plugged in.
12:31Here they are right here.
12:36Even though you can't see the back, but you can actually see the front.
12:47Alright.
12:48Here we go.
12:50Doesn't matter which ones is the input and output.
12:53So, I'm going to use this to be plugged into the back.
12:58Now, there's one thing you must know about, about RCA cables.
13:02You see, we know that the yellow one goes at that spot there.
13:06But, the one thing about that, is that it can actually use two, that port, that input
13:12of that RCA cable, the one that has the yellow and green, you can actually use two different
13:15colors.
13:16Doesn't, you can either use yellow or green.
13:19That's the best thing about this.
13:25So, you can actually hear it being plugged in, but you can't see it.
13:30There we go.
13:31And they're plugged in.
13:35And now, I just have to get this right down here.
13:41Okay, I think I almost got it.
13:45Yes, there we go.
13:46Look at that, everyone.
13:47Got it.
13:49And now, time to plug them on the back.
13:52Yellow goes here.
13:55Look at that.
13:57Red goes here.
13:59And now, as for the white, right here.
14:06Alright.
14:09Perfect.
14:11Check it out.
14:13And let me push it in.
14:15Yeah, you can actually tell that this thing actually opens.
14:19You'll see it when I power this bad boy on.
14:27That's the perfect view of that.
14:30Now, I believe it's time to plug it in and see what happens.
14:38Alright.
14:40Now, let's plug it in.
14:44Okay.
14:45Now, time to turn on the TV.
14:50Oh, before I put it on the TV, I noticed that, I thought that this takes AAA batteries,
14:58but it takes AA batteries, which is right here.
15:00So, let me put these bad boys in.
15:05So, check it out, everyone.
15:06Watch.
15:07Time to get these bad boys in.
15:09One, two.
15:13Look at that.
15:14And now,
15:19And now, I can be able to use it.
15:22Now, time to turn on the TV.
15:27Alright.
15:29Time to, time to turn on my television.
15:32And, power button.
15:34There we go.
15:38Okay, Samsung.
15:40And, it's on AVA.
15:42Oh, I mean AV, of course.
15:44Okay.
15:46Time to, I'm going to push this button and it will bring it to life.
15:51Here we go, everyone.
15:54Three, two, one.
16:01Look at that.
16:02It's on.
16:03And, it says loading.
16:08And, it says enter to quick setup.
16:11Wow.
16:13And, it says clear to erase this message.
16:15So, I believe the setup on here would, and I believe enter is a setup, which is right here.
16:24Let me take a look.
16:26Look.
16:26Ah, look at that.
16:28It has a language setup.
16:30So, there's English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
16:38So, I'm sticking with English.
16:40And, look at that.
16:41This is the, this is the TV type screen size.
16:46So, we got 16 by 9.
16:48Also known as 1.70 by 1.
16:51And, we got the letter box 4 by 3, which is 1.33 by 1.
16:56Full screen.
16:58So, that looks nice.
17:00And, it says this player is connected to your emperor receiver.
17:03Please.
17:08Um, I'm good.
17:11So, that means I can actually do the setup and go back again.
17:15So, I can do the thing.
17:19But, anyways, let me, how do I exit out?
17:28Okay.
17:29So, I believe that the light is actually on.
17:34On the DVD player.
17:35Let me show it to you right here.
17:41You see that, everyone?
17:44Let me, hang on.
17:45Let me move my camera close so you can see.
17:47You see that?
17:49Right there.
17:49That's the green light.
17:51It's actually on.
17:53And, let's see if it opens and closes good.
17:57And, I believe it's this button here.
17:59Let's take a look.
18:02Wow.
18:03Look at that.
18:04Nice.
18:05And, you can actually hear the sound.
18:09See that?
18:10It actually makes a sound when it opens and closes.
18:13Listen one more time.
18:20Nice.
18:22And, now, it's time to try out a DVD.
18:29Alright.
18:30Now, since everything worked perfectly, it's time to place in a DVD.
18:34We're going to start off with this.
18:36Thomas and the Magic Rare World DVD.
18:40We're going to see how this bad boy really goes with this.
18:50Alright.
18:52And, now, let me get out the disc.
18:56Alright.
18:57It's out.
18:58And, place it here.
19:01Look at that.
19:02Same thing, just like the Blu-ray player.
19:11And, now, let's see how this is going to, going to, let's see how this is going to look.
19:17And, works.
19:27Okay.
19:28Look at that.
19:29It works perfectly.
19:30Now, just want to let you know that I actually turned off the sound.
19:34Turned the sound down.
19:36The sound off there.
19:37Just to avoid all that yadda yadda yadda stuff.
19:41Just letting you know.
19:44Okay.
19:45So.
19:46Maybe.
19:48I just got to get used to the buttons here.
19:50So, I can tell that the buttons right here are play, fast, force, slow, rewind, pause, fast, slow, play, etc.
19:59So.
20:01Let's play and take a good look.
20:05So, I'm still going to actually, going to still talk over this still.
20:09Just to be safe.
20:12Now, let's see.
20:14Yes.
20:15I know this film has been modified from the original version.
20:18All that.
20:19Yes.
20:20Okay.
20:20So, I'm actually going to let this play first.
20:25Okay.
20:28And my camera is starting to get all that.
20:33Again.
20:34It's starting to get all blurry.
20:35Sorry.
20:36I just hate when that happens at times.
20:40So.
20:42When this actually, when this gets ready to start.
20:45Let me push it back a bit so you can see a bit more.
20:49And for better view, of course.
20:54Okay.
20:55So.
20:55I'm at the opening.
20:57So.
20:57Let's take a look.
21:00So.
21:00I believe.
21:03These.
21:04The.
21:04This button here would be the, the fast forward.
21:07So let's take a look.
21:09Alright.
21:10So it actually fast forward.
21:12Nice.
21:13Hit play.
21:15And.
21:16And when I hit rewind.
21:18Wow.
21:19It actually speeds up a bit.
21:20And let's see what happens if I hit this.
21:23Alright.
21:24It goes to the other scenes.
21:26Nice.
21:27Pause.
21:28Work.
21:29Perfectly.
21:30Play.
21:31Stop.
21:35Wow.
21:36Look at that.
21:36This is something new.
21:37If you hit stop it will actually show this.
21:39And when you hit.
21:41And when you hit play.
21:44It goes back.
21:45Wow.
21:47I actually like it.
21:49Now.
21:50Let me press the odd.
21:51Let me press the subtitle button.
21:54Nice.
21:56Alright.
21:58And let me try the audio.
22:02Okay.
22:03Nice.
22:04Nice.
22:06Alright.
22:07It actually works perfectly.
22:09And there's the volume.
22:11And it actually.
22:13Well.
22:13It doesn't work.
22:14It only works on the.
22:17I don't know.
22:18Something.
22:19But.
22:19I believe that everything will do.
22:23So.
22:23I believe that actually works perfectly.
22:26Nice.
22:27I.
22:28I don't know what to say to this but.
22:30This was a success.
22:32But.
22:33I.
22:33I've been wondering.
22:35Let me get this out.
22:41You don't have to see it.
22:42Because.
22:42You already know.
22:44Now.
22:45There's one thing I've been wondering.
22:47While I'm doing this.
22:50Do you think.
22:51That a DVD player like this.
22:53Can actually play.
22:54A region 4 DVD.
22:57Well.
22:57I know my old.
22:58Back to box DVD player kid.
23:00So.
23:00We're going to give this one a try.
23:02So.
23:02Here's a.
23:02Here's.
23:03So.
23:03I do have one here.
23:05Which is.
23:05Sick Men and the Sea Monsters.
23:06The Complete Series.
23:07On DVD.
23:08From Australia.
23:09Released by.
23:10Beyond Home Entertainment.
23:11Best.
23:12Classic.
23:12Ever.
23:13So.
23:15We're going to give this a try.
23:19And see if.
23:21This bad boy.
23:22Can work on something like this.
23:25There we go.
23:29Let me.
23:30Sit back down.
23:31So.
23:31You can see.
23:36Close.
23:37Now.
23:38Let's see if this is.
23:38This is going to work.
23:48Is it going to work?
23:49No.
23:51No.
23:52No.
23:53No.
23:53No.
23:53No.
23:57It's still loading.
24:04Yes.
24:05It does.
24:06Look at that.
24:07Ha.
24:07Ha.
24:08Looks like this.
24:09Actually works with a region 4 DVD.
24:12Nice.
24:16Now that is a 6-festival.
24:18This can actually play a region 4 DVD.
24:21Like they say.
24:22A DVD.
24:23player in the U.S. here, a Region 1 DVD, will always work on a, well, you know, a Region
24:311 DVD. Yeah, and I saw it got blurry again. But, anyways, it works. But, can a Region
24:382 DVD work? Let's find out. I did try to use it on my old DVD player, but it didn't
24:49work.
24:52So, I'm going to see if it actually works on here. In which Region 2 DVD that I'm talking
24:58about? This one. The Bananas Split. The Complete's first season, of course, Region 2. That's
25:05how you can tell. So, let's see if this one works. Besides, it actually works on my computer,
25:10and it actually works on my portable DVD player. So, those are two things that actually work.
25:16So, we're going to give this one a try. Here it goes. Now, let's wait and see what happens,
25:24everyone.
25:33And it doesn't actually play it. That's sad. But, at least it works on my computer and
25:40my, you know, portable DVD player. But, my dad told me that there is a way to do it. But,
25:47anyways, it works perfectly. You know, the DVD player itself. Here we go. So, it works like
26:10a success. Now, we're going to try and plug in the HDMI cable on the back and we're going
26:18to see how it's going to see how it's going to look. Alright. So, I turned it off. And,
26:25here's the cable. So, first off, let me get this off. And, the other side. I'm just taking
26:41them off screen, of course. There we go. Now, they're loose now. Sort of. Just got to take
26:55this thing off. There we go. Now, they're loose. Now, you can tell that they have these things
27:07on because they're never used. So, let me unplug. Get these off. Oof. And, this one. There we
27:15go. And, now, I'm going to plug it in onto my player. DVD player. So, first things first.
27:24This is what I'm going to do. Let me set this down. I'm going to have to unplug the RCA
27:30cables
27:31here. But, it's going to be tough for me to get them from behind. So, this is what I'm actually
27:35going to do. I'm going to throw them to the side like that. So, I'll know where they're at when
27:43I
27:44go behind there. And, now, time to plug this in and get the other side here to the back. So,
27:53I don't
27:53know how I'm going to do this. But, this is what I'm going to do. I'm going to go like
27:57this and grab
28:00the cable like right here. Did I? Oh. Hang on. I better do it like this so I can grab
28:10the end
28:10right there. There we go. And, let me push this out a bit so that way you can see a
28:22bit more.
28:24And, now, I'm going to plug it in on the side. Just need to unplug the HDMI cable of the
28:36Blu-ray
28:39player. And, plug it in there to the same spot. Okay. I'm just plugging it there, everyone.
28:47Let me move here. And, there we go. Alright. It's plugged in on the back. And, now, it's time
29:02to get this plugged in. And, you want to know where it is? You can tell by I'm pointing. And,
29:09now, I'm going to plug it in. Flip it up. There we go. Oh. Hold on. Ah. There we go.
29:19Now, the
29:21HDMI cables are now plugged into the port of the DVD player and the TV. Ah. Now, we're going
29:32to turn it on and see what it looks like. Alright. Now, let's see what it's going to look like
29:41with the HDMI cable in. Oh. Okay. I don't believe it's actually on a V. It's actually on this.
29:57Let's take a look. Whoa. Whoa. Look at that. It's still, the menu is still the same way like
30:08the Blu-ray. Now, we're going to try out all the, all the DVDs that are in, are in the,
30:17in
30:17the different aspect ratio screen size. And, we're going to start off with the first one with
30:224x9, which is 1.33x1. And, all the way down to 21x9, which is 2.39x1. We're going to take
30:33a good look at them. Okay. So, first off, we're, we're trying out full screen. So, we got here
30:43is, what's new Scooby-Doo? And, it actually looks pretty good. You see, if it's, if this is the
30:52HDMI cable that's plugged in, you see, you can't see the black bars unless you, well, I
30:58actually did notice that a special, ever since I gave a special shout out to, to Steven, who
31:03actually told me, said this. Even though it's not in an HD style, but it looks pretty good
31:08like this. So, yeah. So, that's, so that's full screen for you there, everyone. Now, let's
31:16try out two, I mean, so let's try out the next screen size, widescreen. Starting off with
31:231.78x1. All right. So, next up, we got Chicken Little here in widescreen. That awesome Disney
31:35movie that I like. So, let's take a good look while it plays. So, I can tell that the movie's
31:41actually in widescreen, but you can actually tell you can't see the black bars. Yes, you
31:49can't see them there, but it's still widescreen. Pretty interesting. And, and the one thing
31:56that's great is that, well, hang on, let me get to the, to, to the alien invasion, let me
32:08get to the alien invasion scene so you can see what I'm actually going to say. All right.
32:16So, I noticed that you can actually see a bit more. You can still see things on the top
32:20and bottom in widescreen, but the best part is that something is going to be really good.
32:25You see, when it's like this, you can actually see more on the left and right. You see, if you
32:31played with the RCA cables, you can't even see much. See, you can actually see something
32:38on the left and you can see everything on the right. So, watch. Watch how, watch how the, if
32:45you watch closely, you can see the spaceship right there. You can see a bit more there. And
32:51the way when they approach, yeah, look at that. See that? You can actually see a lot of everything
32:57in this screen size. Nice. And the best part, if you pause here, you can actually see more
33:06of the sign right there and more on that building right there during this scene. So, when you watch
33:12it like this, it's actually really good. All right. So, next up, let's try 1.8551.
33:24Okay. So, what we got here is 1.8551. It's another widescreen size that you're seeing right
33:30now on this TV. So, here we got is Castle in the Sky. Awesome anime movie. So, if you take
33:38a good close look at it, you can actually see a bit of the black bars on the top and
33:43bottom.
33:45And before you ask, yes, it's a picture that I took with my video camera. Because if I
33:51started to show this on a video, I'm going to get like one of those yadda yadda yadda yadda
33:58copyright stuff. But, here it is. But, if you have to look closely, you have to look up by, hang
34:08on. You have to go up to the TV, and then, take a good close look. Because when you watch
34:14it in HD like this, you can, it's hard for you to see. Because you might think it's not
34:19there, but it's actually there. All right. Next up, the next up is 2.00 by 1.
34:31All right. So, here's a movie that's in 2.00 by 1. Jurassic World. Man, I love Jurassic
34:39World. Best movie ever, just like Jurassic Park. So, let's take a good look at this. So,
34:47by the looks, the way how it looks in 2.00 by 1, there's Chris Pratt as Owen. Awesome actor
34:54ever. Can't wait for him. Can't wait to hear his voice when he voice Mario in the new
34:58Mario movie. Anyways, I'm just saying about the Mario movie. Anyways, back to this. So,
35:03by the looks of, by the looks of this screen, you can barely see the black bars there. Right
35:10there, and right there. Hang on, let me point it out. Let me point it out. See where my fingers
35:14are? See? There's, there's that one right there, and that one right there. That's the one.
35:23So, that's how you can tell that this isn't a 2.00 by 1, which is 2 by 1, of
35:30course. And
35:31it kind of, and it looks pretty good like this in this screen size. I believe, I believe
35:35some other movies are, some other movies are like that too, including Jurassic World Dominion.
35:41But, I'm not gonna talk about Dominion yet when I, when I get, well, you know, when I plan
35:47to get the other five movies and Blu-ray and DVD combo packs individually instead of getting
35:51the Ultimate Collection one, which I'll explain to you about a lot later. But, overall, it
35:57looks, it looks really good like this, and you can still see things on the left and right
36:01side. And now, it's on to 2.39 by 1. And, oh, and one more thing. It's really amazing that,
36:14I love how that, when you watch it in different formats and stuff, ivory, well, different aspect
36:19ratios, it always looks good. But, anyways, on to the 2.39 by 1. All right, everyone. Here
36:29is 2.39 by 1. With the, with the HDMI cable plugged in. So, the one that I'm, that I'm
36:38actually
36:38watching here, that I'm seeing here, is Sonic the Hedgehog from 2020. Now, let's take a good
36:45look at this. So, I believe it looks really good, and we can see the black bars there, because
36:53it's a, it's a 2.39 by 1. But, even though when you look closely, you might wonder, does
37:00it kind of look like a 1.87 by 1? Well, it does, but not fully, because it's still 2
37:08.39 by 1. But,
37:12it, it looks good like that, and you can still, still, you can actually still see things on the
37:18right side while watching it like that. And, it looks really, really, really good. For,
37:26for, for an awesome, for an awesome Sony DVD player with an HDMI port, it looks really good.
37:35So good that, that you'll have to, you can watch it either with the RCA cables or the HDMI
37:41ports. So, it actually looks really, really good. So, that's all the screen sizes, with,
37:51with, with, with this DVD player with the HDMI cable on.
37:58Alright, so, that's all the screen sizes, and you might be wondering, does this DVD player
38:06say, with the HDMI cable plug-in, get rid of the black bar square? Well, if we, if you
38:12look at Sonic, as an example, Sonic the Hedgehog here, which is Adventist of Sonic the Hedgehog,
38:18you can see, that it looks different. Because, you don't see the black bars on the top and
38:24bottom, but you see it on the side. So, I believe that kind of got rid of the black bar
38:29square.
38:30But, it looks good like that. No black bar square? Nothing. Just like an actual HD style.
38:37And by the looks of it, it actually did got rid of the black bar square. So, that means, when
38:41I watched the
38:42first season of Sailor Moon, the part one of the DVD, and, watching the Dick Van Dyke Show, the
38:47complete remaster series DVD, and, also, Adventist of Sonic the Hedgehog and Double Dragon, the only
38:54thing we're going to see here, are the two black bars on the side. And, before you ask,
38:59yes, it's a, it's a picture that I took with my video camera, because if I show the, shows
39:05you a video of it, it's going to be like one of those copyright crap stuff.
39:09Ah, believe me everyone, that's what I hate. But, overall, it looks good like that. I want
39:15to give this a 10 out of 10. And, hooray to the DVD player that got rid of the black
39:21bar square.
39:25Oh, yeah. And, one more thing, everyone. I, I noticed that, the YouTubers, Steven Klinkin,
39:33actually showed on the screen size with the DVD player when he had the HDMI cable plugged
39:38in. Special shout out to him. Thank you, Steven Klinkin, for all of this. So, I've been
39:43wondering, what, I'm going to try and see if I could try to, you know, like try to use
39:49a setup thing. So, I'm going to see how it works. Well, it doesn't work like that, but, I believe
39:57there's a, well, no, not this. I'm just, I'm just getting used to it, everyone. It's something
40:08that had to do with, well, let me exit out and, well, the thing is, you can't actually, like,
40:17change the screen size on here, but, can you? Hang on. Maybe try to get the disc out and try
40:26to do it like that to see if it, if it can make it easier.
40:37Hmm. Well, it doesn't actually work, but, I wonder if it does actually work on, on, well,
40:53let me, let me think, everyone. I wonder if it actually works with the RCA cables. I'll
41:08find a way how to do it. I believe it's the display button, oops, the display button
41:13right here. So, when you press it, it'll have the player, and it has a password, but I'm
41:18good, so I don't need it. So, if you hit on the quick, there's the quick, that you can
41:26use, and there's custom, and we actually go on here, look at this. You can actually pin
41:37the screen size into anything on this, only with the RCA, well, for the RCA cable, it
41:45never stays, does like that, but look at this. You see, if you hit on normal, it
41:49looks like that, but when you hit full, it looks like that. Look at the difference. But
41:56take a look at this. It looks different like that. You can actually see things on
42:03the left and right. I don't have the disc in yet, but we're going to try it out with
42:10the HDMI cable, again. Alright, so I believe it can go with the same thing. See, hit, hit,
42:20display, quick, custom, down to the screen size, and look at this! Ha ha ha! You can actually
42:30make it back to the actual normal screen size like this! Pretty nice! I love it! And there's
42:39the paint, the paint screen, and the letterbox one, too. Nice! Really nice! So, let me just
42:48place in a DVD so that way we can see how it looks like that. Let me place in the
42:54Jetsons
42:54again so we can take a good and better look at that size. And what I mean by better looking
43:08style when it's like this. Here we go! Okay, I know that I can't skip through, but I can't
43:34see it. But let me select one of the episodes of the Jetsons. Look at that! It looks good
43:47like this with the black bars on the side. Hang on, let me skip the opening so you can
43:51see a bit more. So, by the looks of this with the black bars like that, it looks really, really,
44:00really good. I would give this a 10 out of 10. A really great 10 out of 10. And I
44:07love
44:07it. Look at that. Black bars on the side. You can actually check out the time! Look at this!
44:15When you hit display, you can check out the time on this. And you still have everything
44:21here! Look at this! You've got everything! You've got the repeat so that way you can repeat
44:26the same section again! And it says stop playback and retry after operation. Yeah, so that means
44:42you can't actually do it like that. So would you do it on this? Yes you can! So you can't
44:52switch the screen size while watching, but you can do it on this! Yes! You can actually
44:59do it on this! Nice! I love it! I love it! Just to be honest everyone, this DVD player is
45:11the best. I'm glad, I'm just glad I bought this to upgrade myself so I can watch a movie
45:16like this to be in this good quality and stuff. Oh yeah, I almost forgot everyone! If you watch
45:25a movie that's in a 2.66x1 widescreen skies, take a look at this as a night to remember as
45:32an example.
45:32Look at that! Black bars on the side. You can actually see things on the left and right side.
45:39But there's one thing that I actually found out! You see, if you click on display and when
45:47you head down to quick, to custom, to the screen size, here's something that's very, very interesting.
45:57If you actually hit this with letterbox, watch. Let me hit the play again. Watch. It actually
46:24has the black bars that you can watch it in widescreen on. And I don't think that's actually
46:29going to bother me, but it looks good like that. So, what the letterbox does is that they
46:34actually make the movie widescreen again so it can actually look good like that. Pretty
46:40nice! And I love it! And I want to say that this DVD player is the best. I'm going to
46:47stick
46:47on watching it with the HDMI cables and RCA cables because it's really amazing. I'm actually
46:55going to hold my old DVD player because if anything ever happens to this, I may have to get a
47:01new
47:01one and keep using the old one at times. Alrighty everyone, so that's everything that you see
47:10with the Sony DVP SR510H DVD player. And special, and once again, special shout out to Steven, to Steven
47:31Klinkin for showing the proof with this player and everything with the HDMI cable and stuff
47:38plugged in. Check, I'll put this video down in the link so you can watch it. So, I want to
47:46say
47:46like the ratings and everything great about this. So, the Sony DVP SR510H DVD player was an awesome
48:01DVD player that Sony ever made. And we know that Sony is the company that did the PS platforms
48:07and helping out with Columbia Pictures, etc. And the way how the buttons look on there, that's
48:16because, you know, I always stick with the buttons that are on the front of the DVD player, you know,
48:20like something that's right there instead of on top. And I'm going to get used to with everything
48:27that's on this here because, you know, I'm always like the old school type because, you know,
48:32old school is always my thing. And the best thing about this is that it's really amazing.
48:41I love the way how they designed it and everything. It used to cost a lot of money back then,
48:45but I don't know how much it used to be, it used to be from back then when it first
48:50came.
48:50Just let me know in the comments below. But I'm just glad I got this for $39. It was at
48:56a good price. I, and I did get it at Walmart because I was, I did try to find two
49:03DVDs that
49:04I'm going to say to you about, which is soon, but I'm not going to tell you what it is
49:09because
49:09you might know until I get them. So that's where I actually got this at Walmart. So, and the
49:18ratings on this, I would say I'm going to give this a five gold star, a 100% 10 out
49:26of 10.
49:26All of that. Overall, the Sony DVPS-R501 HDVD player is the perfect success with everything that
49:38they did with, with aspect ratio sizes and custom changes and everything. It's amazing. I am glad I got this.
49:48Get this at Walmart or any other stores or look them up online. I'm just glad I got this everyone.
49:56Be sure to hit the subscribe button, hit the like, send some comments, and hit the bell button for brand
50:03new videos and I'll see you next time. Peace out everyone.
50:07Peace out everyone.
