00:00Dan Orlovsky on the Broncos, top of the AFC.
00:03We'll get into that in a moment.
00:05After the Jalen Waddle edition, what does it mean for the Patriots?
00:10But we do have a team through to the Sweet 16.
00:13Green Day takes down Oasis.
00:16So sorry to the Oasis.
00:21But Green Day through.
00:23Billy Joe Armstrong, Trey Cool, all those guys.
00:25Congratulations to the Sweet 16.
00:27Congrats. You guys did a nice job at the pre-Super Bowl show.
00:32They did.
00:32They probably should have done the halftime show, but I don't want to get political.
00:36That would have made more sense. That's true.
00:38So they're through to the Sweet 16.
00:39The Gallaghers, you're out.
00:41Jones and Keefe, 1990 slash early 2000.
00:43No, no, no, no, no.
00:45We've spent a lot of time talking about Gallagher and Gallagher 2 a couple weeks ago.
00:481990 slash early 2000s, heavy metal, new metal, grunge, alternative, pop, punk, butt, rock, rock, bands, bracket, corn.
00:54The Limp Bizkit with a spot in the Elite Eight on the line.
00:58Up now at Jones and Keefe.
01:00Early returns, Keefe.
01:01And these don't always hold.
01:03No, they don't.
01:03But I think they're usually somewhat telling.
01:06Yeah.
01:07Might have an upset, Bruin.
01:08The Biscuit.
01:08May have an upset on our hands.
01:10Vote with your heart.
01:11Vote with your heart.
01:12So we were trying to come up with a list of things that at one point were really cool,
01:16and then it became cool to make fun of them,
01:19when in reality, they've been cool all along.
01:21Right.
01:22Limp Bizkit, Dane Cook, Bill Simmons.
01:25Those were three, and you're like, I need a fourth.
01:27Those are the big three.
01:27They were cool the whole time.
01:28We did get more suggestions in the break.
01:29The two good suggestions in the break were smoking cigarettes.
01:35Yeah.
01:36Smoking cigs.
01:37At one point, the height of coolness.
01:39Yeah, so cool.
01:40Then we all found out it was very unhealthy,
01:42and now we make fun of everybody that smokes.
01:44But in reality, smoke them if you got them.
01:47It's pretty sweet.
01:47Yeah, no, I mean, it's like, you know, smoking cigs can be bad for you, but also cool.
01:51Also cool.
01:52And good one by Dice.
01:53Tony Romo.
01:55Well, he was the man.
01:56You think that's a good one.
01:57It's consistent.
01:58Everybody makes fun of him now, and I'm like, guys, it's not that bad.
02:00Maybe it was just cool to pretend that he was good in the beginning.
02:02He's not that good.
02:03I just think he gets too much blowback.
02:06This team is DTF, Jim.
02:08I mean, you're not going to get that kind of breakdown anywhere else.
02:10I don't know.
02:11That's a good point.
02:12Phil Simms wasn't giving you that.
02:13He is.
02:13He was farting and wafting it into Jim Nance's face, but he wasn't giving you that.
02:17Although, to be fair, I would say he is probably the most difficult to defend out of the previous ones
02:23we named.
02:24I'd rather defend Limp Bizkit than I would Tony Romo.
02:26Right.
02:27Even though I think some of the blowback might be too far.
02:28Yeah, if you were going to rank within this tier, yeah, Roma would be at the bottom of the tier.
02:31I get that.
02:32But that's fine.
02:33Okay.
02:33We'll keep submitting those.
02:34Good suggestions there.
02:35Are the Broncos the best team on paper in the AFC?
02:38They were in the AFC title game.
02:40They gave the Patriots a game without Bo Nix, and now they've added Jalen Waddle.
02:46So I still, as much as I like Bo Nix, and I'm the one talking to Bo Nix more than
02:51anybody else,
02:51I still think the Drake May-Mike-Vrabel combo is a lot better than the Sean Payton-Bo Nix combo.
02:58I agree with that.
02:59What about the rest of the team?
02:59Jump back, do it to the other team.
03:02Yeah, no, they're very good, but the Patriots' defense, I think, is right there with the Broncos' defense.
03:05And so even though the two best receivers would be both on the Broncos, but I don't know.
03:13I like the quarterback so much more.
03:14I think he has guys that he can work with right now.
03:17Obviously, I'm holding out hope for A.J. Brown, but let's just say he's not on the team.
03:21I think he can get a good season out of Dobbs.
03:23I think he can chuck it deep to booty.
03:25I think Hunter Henry, you've got the two running backs that they like.
03:29So it's hard for me to say the Patriots are the best team in the conference because I do think
03:33they're going to have a drop back a little bit from last year.
03:36But I don't think there is a clear-cut one team.
03:39So I don't think it is Denver.
03:40I'm not sure who it is right now.
03:42Well, I was going to ask.
03:42It's not Denver.
03:43Who is it?
03:44I don't think it's the Patriots right now.
03:46I think with A.J. Brown, I moved the Patriots there.
03:48Yes.
03:49And I think the Patriots are in the mix.
03:50Are they the best team in the AFC?
03:53No.
03:53I mean, I don't think they are.
03:55Yeah, but then I end up boxing myself into a corner.
03:58Do you think the Broncos are better than the Chiefs?
04:01Yeah.
04:01Okay.
04:02So if the Broncos are the best team in that division, do you think the Patriots are better than the
04:06Bills?
04:07Yes.
04:07Okay.
04:08But I also think that one's close.
04:09I do.
04:10It's super close.
04:10That's probably even closer than the other one.
04:12I agree.
04:12It's closer than Broncos Chiefs, but like, are the Broncos right now on paper, the best
04:17team in the conference?
04:18Yeah.
04:19In the North.
04:20I don't know.
04:21I mean, the Ravens, if they had Max Crosby, I'd feel even better about them, but they don't.
04:26Yeah.
04:27I mean, look, I think they'll bounce back, meaning they should be a playoff team again after
04:30missing it last year.
04:31I don't think the whole show is going to pick them to win the Super Bowl again.
04:34No, that's not going to happen.
04:35I would take the Patriots over the Baltimore Ravens.
04:36But that's the thing is, I don't want to say the Patriots are the best team in the conference,
04:39but I also have a really hard time picking anybody above them.
04:42Right?
04:42Like that.
04:43So let me ask you like this.
04:45In the AFC, Patriots or the field?
04:47Oh, field.
04:48Field.
04:48Oh, 100% field.
04:49But now you've got to name a specific team from the field.
04:51It's hard to do.
04:52It might be the pass.
04:52I would say Denver.
04:54Because I think Josh, you know, that's fair.
04:56I think Josh Allen is probably the best player, but I don't like the bills around him necessarily.
05:01I know they added DJ Moore and they added Bradley Chubb.
05:03The North and the South, I don't really see anybody there that's like better than the Patriots.
05:08So I get your point on Denver.
05:10Don't sleep on my Titans.
05:12I think I was just a year early on the Titans.
05:13I think with Dayball, look out for Cam Ward.
05:16You were right about Liam Cohen, though.
05:18He turned the Jaguars around, but I also wouldn't pick the Jaguars.
05:20Yeah, I wouldn't pick them either.
05:21They were the third team in the AFC.
05:22So look, Patriots.
05:23No, but that's fair.
05:24Denver, maybe it is Denver.
05:24Patriots and Broncos last year both had 14 wins.
05:27They both had, I mean, the Patriots had an absurdly easy schedule, but so did Denver.
05:31And Denver won a bunch of fluky, weird, close games that maybe that'll correct this year.
05:35But they also were hosting the AFC title game.
05:38Their quarterback got hurt.
05:40And now they've added Jalen Waddle to the squad, who I prefer A.J. Brown to Jalen Waddle.
05:45But if you asked me this yesterday, who's the best team in the AFC?
05:48I think I would have said the Patriots.
05:51Then they...
05:51Waddle trade.
05:52...meaning Denver.
05:53I mean, Waddle's a big addition there.
05:55Are you sure?
05:55That is their only addition.
05:56That's fine.
05:58All offseason, the only person they brought in from outside.
06:00Okay.
06:00What did they really need to bring in?
06:02I mean, I don't know.
06:04I mean, maybe like another body at running back.
06:07They re-signed Dobbins, so they didn't make a change there, but they did bring him back.
06:10Right.
06:11Bring him back all their own guys.
06:12Yeah, I guess it worked.
06:13Their defense was awesome.
06:14It worked.
06:14But I agree with you, Nick.
06:16I mean, that's dangerous to just run it back with your same team, which I guess the Waddle
06:19trade makes me feel a little better about that.
06:21No, but they got Waddle, and they could say, we didn't have our quarterback in the last
06:24game.
06:24So it's not like you're bringing back the same team that just lost to the Patriots.
06:27They should feel pretty good about their team.
06:29So, I mean, look, I think right now, if I had to answer it, and I think it's close.
06:33I'm not saying the Patriots couldn't beat Denver, but right now having to answer it, I would
06:36say Denver.
06:37Are you sure they're keeping Sutton?
06:39Like, I was thinking about this yesterday.
06:41Oh, did they add Waddle to get rid of Sutton?
06:42Well, I wonder.
06:43I mean, I wonder if something like that could be going on.
06:45Sutton's been rumored for trade for a long time.
06:48But that shows him over Jerry Judy.
06:50And I think it's weird that they box out all their young receivers.
06:54Like, Franklin and Pat Bryant both kind of looked okay last year at times.
06:59Like, I think it's weird they boxed those guys out.
07:01Sutton and, I mean, not Sutton, the kid from Oregon that you just said.
07:05Franklin.
07:05Yeah, Franklin.
07:06Analytically, he's one of the worst receivers in football.
07:08Really?
07:08Okay, so I just, his raw numbers are good that I didn't realize.
07:11I like him, but yeah.
07:11So, I wonder if Sutton's available.
07:13Not that they trade him to the Pats, but I just wonder if Denver is adding Waddle to
07:17make another move.
07:18We'll see.
07:18You could probably get Marvin Mims Jr. if you want.
07:20I'm sure you could.
07:22So, it's another reason, not the reason, but another reason why I think the Patriots now
07:26have to match and go get A.J. Brown.
07:27I think with A.J. Brown, you move back to the top of the heat.
07:30That's fair.
07:30Without it, I think Denver, I hate to agree with Orlovsky, but I do.
07:35That's not one that was cool to like, then not cool and cool again.
07:38No, never that cool.
07:39No, I don't think it was ever cool.
07:40It was definitely not cool again.
07:41Chuck on the text line, either John Cena or wrestling in general.
07:45That is true.
07:46That's a good one.
07:47It was super cool, like in the 90s Attitude Era, that it was like, oh, you like wrestling?
07:50It's like, guess what?
07:51It was great the whole time.
07:54Was it?
07:55No, it really wasn't.
07:56Being lean was shamed for a while, the texter says, but now it's back in.
07:59I've always just missed.
07:59Being lean?
08:00I've always missed the boat on that one.
08:01Yeah, no.
08:02So, dad bods, though.
08:03I thought dad bods were in.
08:05Yeah, I don't think they are now.
08:07I was lean for a time when dad bods were in.
08:10Now lean apparently is in, according to this one texter, and now, you know, it's getting
08:15away from me.
08:15Yeah, there was body positivity for like three years.
08:18Yeah, that was fun.
08:19Now everybody's on Ozempic.
08:20I've always missed the window on all of it, I guess is what's going on.
08:23So, you can text in.
08:25617-779-7937.
08:27Dial us up.
08:27Who's the best team in the AFC?
08:29Is it the Patriots?
08:30Or did the Broncos move ahead of him yesterday with a significant trade for Jalen Waddell?
08:34Let's get to the Bruins.
08:35Their loss last night in Montreal.
08:37Doesn't seem to bother the head coach.
08:38So, we'll get to that.
08:39Plus, some thoughts on the Celtics as well.
08:41All that next.
