00:00Money sent home by overseas Filipinos has reached a total of $3.02 billion in January 2026.
00:08This, after a surge in December, due to the holiday season amounting to an all-time high, $35.63 billion,
00:17according to Banco Central ng Pilipinas, or BSP.
00:20A 3.5 increase was recorded compared to the $2.92 billion in remittances posted in 2025 for the same
00:29period.
00:30The United States remains a top contributor to the cash flow amounting to 20%,
00:35followed by Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and the United Kingdom.
