00:00Hello everyone, it's good to be here. My name is William Chambers and today we're going to talk about
00:04let God carry what you cannot resolve. There are so many things that we cannot resolve,
00:11so many relationships that we cannot resolve and we are to let God resolve that which we cannot.
00:19So let's look in the text. The Bible says, if it be possible as much as lie in you,
00:24live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather get placed
00:29under wrath. For it is written, vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord. The word of God is
00:36telling us that we are to live peaceably with all men as much as lie within us. What that means
00:43is
00:43sometimes we're not able to live peaceable with all men because peace requires cooperation and
00:50everybody doesn't want to cooperate with us. So it says, as much as lie within you, only if it's
00:56possible that you can keep peace with all men after you've done everything you could. So we are to put
01:02all our efforts in it and to continue loving even when hurting. That said, the Bible is letting us
01:09know that there are some situations where peace is not possible with men. So it goes on and it says,
01:16dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, rather get placed under wrath. We are not to take vengeance
01:23and settle the score ourselves. When someone does us wrong, we're not to retaliate. God says, that is
01:30my space. The Bible is telling us to give place to wrath. What that means is get out of God's
01:36place.
01:37Step aside. God said, I cannot work when you are all in my spot. Give place to wrath. Let me
01:45do my work.
01:45Let me, I will repay, says the Lord. God is telling us to trust me with the vengeance. When God
01:53gives
01:53the vengeance, he knows how to do it. God is not emotional. God said, I know what I'm doing. Vengeance
01:59is mine. I will repay, says the Lord. Get out of my way. So we are to let God resolve
02:07what we cannot.
02:08I'm going to do everything I can to live peaceable with men. But sometimes that's not possible.
02:14I am to give that over to God. And then when there's a situation where, where I'm tempted to
02:21want to take personal vengeance, I am not to do that either. I am to give it over to God.
02:27I am to
02:28allow God to carry what I cannot carry. God has loved us. He has died for us, given his son
02:35for us
02:35with a God who we trust with our salvation. God is saying, I want you to trust me with your
02:41vindication. I will vindicate you. You don't have to fight your enemies. I will fight your enemies.
02:48Place it in my hands. Give it unto God. Trust God. I have it under control. The thing about it
02:57is we
02:57want to see things happen. We want to see it. No, no, no. That's not trust. We are to allow
03:01God to work
03:02because God does the greatest work. Lord, help us to trust you with the greatest work in our lives.
03:09Help us to step aside and place what we cannot control and place what we cannot carry into your
03:16hands. In Jesus name, I pray and say, amen.
