00:03Today we're going to talk about when sin becomes entertainment.
00:07The warning of Romans 1.32.
00:12Oh, the question is, is sin entertainment in our country, in our nation, amongst us?
00:19Oh Lord, let's look in the text and find out.
00:22The Bible says,
00:24Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death.
00:29That not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
00:35Oh, the Bible is talking about men and women that are knowingly aware of the sin that they're committing.
00:42But not only knowingly aware of the sin that they're committing,
00:46they know that they're worthy of eternal separation from God.
00:52But the Bible says,
00:53Not only do these men sin, but they have pleasure in men that sin.
01:00And when we talk about pleasure, that's a strong word.
01:02We're talking about they have delight in people that sin.
01:06It means that they approve of people that sin.
01:10It means that they enjoy people sinning as if it were entertainment.
01:15They have pleasure in them that do them.
01:18This is a people that's informed in their rebellion.
01:22They're not naively participating.
01:24They know what they're doing.
01:26They are in human rebellion against God at a very high level.
01:30It's talking about two levels of corruption.
01:32It's talking about a man that commits sin.
01:35And then it goes even further.
01:37The second level is he takes pleasure in men that commit sin.
01:42So not only does he sin, that's one level,
01:44but he takes pleasure in people committing that same sin.
01:50To take pleasure in people sinning, that is a sin right there.
01:53Oh, I want to say today,
01:55do we live in a culture that takes pleasure in sin?
01:59Do we live in a culture that roots for sin?
02:02Do we live in a culture that laughs at sin, celebrates sin, pays for sin?
02:09Oh, help us today.
02:11People are not just sinning.
02:13They are enjoying watching other people sin.
02:17We are living in a culture entertained by evil.
02:23Sounds pretty scary, but it's true.
02:25Entertained by evil.
02:26Oh, if you look at our entertainment industry, sin is marketed.
02:32If you look at the sexual sin,
02:34that is a major part of the sin entertainment in our country.
02:38Meaning you see the sexual sin in movies.
02:41You see it on, you hear it in the music.
02:44You see it on TikTok.
02:45You see it on OnlyFans.
02:47You see it absolutely everywhere.
02:50Then we have violence.
02:51They will put things as shameful as a school fight.
02:54And they will post it up for people to fight.
02:56Real live fights.
02:58I'm not talking about people that do it for,
03:00I'm not talking about athletes.
03:02I'm talking about real live fist fights.
03:04And they will post it as entertainment.
03:06Help us today.
03:07People will mock God as entertainment.
03:10Comedians will make a joke about scripture.
03:12They'll make a joke about Jesus.
03:14And there we are.
03:17Oh, we are enjoying taking pleasure in sin.
03:20Oh, we're not even going to talk about the drunkenness
03:23and the drugs culture of our environment.
03:26That is marketed as sin, a major part of sin.
03:29Meaning that when you listen to our music,
03:30you will hear them glamorize, getting high.
03:34Glamorize, getting drunk and throwing up as if that were a good thing.
03:38Glamorizing, silly stuff like that.
03:40Oh, taking pleasure in sin.
03:43We're talking about rebellion.
03:45If you look at reality TV, you see all the confusion.
03:48They thrive off the drama.
03:50They thrive off the fornication.
03:52They thrive off the cussing.
03:53They thrive off all the chaos.
03:55And there we are, just sucking it up.
03:59Eating it like popcorn.
04:01Just enjoying sin.
04:03Lord, help us.
04:04The rappers, oh my goodness, my goodness.
04:07They win awards for rapping about sin.
04:10But we are sinning.
04:11We're taking pleasure in sin.
04:12And we're raising up the next generation to love sin.
04:16We train the next generation to be entertained by sin.
04:21Oh, there's a little seven-year-old.
04:23Got his phone and just looking at all kind of inappropriate things on his phone.
04:29Little 13-year-old.
04:31Little nine-year-old.
04:32Looking at all kind of things that we're not caring about our youth.
04:36Lord, help us as a nation.
04:39I don't believe that young children should have phones.
04:42Not with all this mess that's on it.
04:43Do we use other people's sinfulness to make us feel better about ourselves?
04:48We see them falling deep in sin and we like it.
04:51We have pleasure in it because I'm not as bad as that guy.
04:55That guy is terrible.
04:57Makes us feel good that that man's in sin.
04:59Oh, have mercy on our souls.
05:02Are we those that gossip about other people's sin?
05:05Talking about people all the time.
05:07Just entertain by just foolishness.
05:10Help us.
05:10Are we the kind of people that enjoy second-hand sin?
05:17Just looking at that person wishing that was you.
05:20Just like second-hand smoke, you ain't smoking a cigarette.
05:22You ain't smoking it, but you wishing that that was you.
05:26Sometimes we're not even committing a sin.
05:29We're just enjoying it.
05:31We're still sinning by enjoying somebody else's sinning.
05:35I'm not sinning directly, but my sin is that I'm enjoying someone else's sin.
05:41That's wrong.
05:42And maybe I'm wishing that I was that person.
05:45Help our culture.
05:47Help our nation.
05:48Sin loves company.
05:51The Bible says they take pleasure in them that sin.
05:54They love people to come and join them.
05:57Because when people come and join you in sin, you don't feel as guilty.
06:00If everybody's clubbing, if everybody's at the strip bar, you don't feel as guilty.
06:07If everybody's getting drunk, you don't feel as guilty.
06:09That's why it makes people feel good when they got a crowd.
06:12Come over here.
06:13You know, loosen up.
06:14Come over here.
06:15Hang out with us, man.
06:16Grab you one of those.
06:17Get you some of that.
06:18Come on, man.
06:19Yeah, man, you only live once.
06:22Are we people that encourage people?
06:26Are we people that tempt people to sin?
06:28Lord, have mercy on our souls.
06:32Help us.
06:32Are we a people that love sinful environments?
06:37Are we a people that love sinful companies, sinful vibes?
06:41I just love the vibe of the place.
06:42I just love the moments that they have in this kind of place.
06:47I just like the lifestyle that these people are living.
06:51I just, you know, are we those that like sinful vibes, like sinful lifestyles?
06:56Help us today, God.
06:58There are some people that only have pleasure in you because you're broken.
07:02Only have pleasure in you because you're sinning with them.
07:05They only have pleasure in the compromised version of you.
07:11The weak version of you.
07:13They only love the sinful version of you.
07:16They don't love anything else because the moment you get a breakthrough, oh, they're gone.
07:21They distance themselves and criticize you because they only loved you because you were
07:25in the same bondage that they was in.
07:27Oh, goodness.
07:28That you was in the same trap that they was in because they pulled you in the same trap.
07:32And when you start to say, no, no, no, I'm not coming over there no more.
07:35You just always come over here.
07:37No, I'm not doing it no more.
07:38That used to be me.
07:39Oh, they got a problem.
07:40Now you got the falling out because they only have pleasure in the sinful version of you.
07:45They didn't love you.
07:46Oh, you was coming over here getting drunk every day.
07:49What's the problem now?
07:51I'm going under Jesus.
07:52Don't let you start talking about Jesus.
07:57Don't get to start preaching.
07:58Watch.
07:59When you start to change on people, prepare for the fallout.

08:06When you start to move and say, you know, I'm doing a little better with my life.
08:09I'm going to move on with Jesus.
08:11Prepare for them to dislodge you.
08:14It's time for you to evacuate quickly.
08:17Oh, goodness, help us.
08:19A true friend will not celebrate your destruction.
08:25The true friend will not love the broken version of you.
08:28They will not love the drunk, promiscuous version of you.
08:32They will not love the always failing at life version of you.
08:37They will not love the compromised, sinful version of you.
08:40True friends will pray for you.
08:43True friends will pull you out.
08:45True friends will get on your case and say, what's up with this mess, man?
08:48That's what a true friend will do.
08:49True friends want to see the best in you.
08:51The Bible says there is no greater love than he that laid his life down for a friend.
08:54Jesus laid his life down to pull us out of sin.
08:57That's what a true friend does.
08:58I pray to God that through the spirit of God, we cease sin.
09:03And I pray to God that we cease being entertained by sin.
09:08Help us, God.
