00:19before appointing him as our ambassador to Washington?
00:24Prime Minister.
00:25Mr Speaker, let me start where I must.
00:26This was my mistake in making the appointment, and I have apologised to the victims of Epstein.
00:31I do so again.
00:32The Government is complying with the humble address in full,
00:35but we are also continuing to support the police in their investigation.
00:40The matter of process was looked at by the Independent Advisor or Ministerial Standards.
00:45It's clear the appointment process wasn't strong enough,
00:48and that's why I've already strengthened it.
00:50But it was my mistake, Mr Speaker, and I have apologised for it.
