00:00This is a book that has divided the bookshop a bit, there are those who loved it and those who hated it.
00:02'I hated,
00:04heart the lover. So I'm in the middle, let's say it's 50-50 for me,
00:08I liked it but with some reservations. The book is divided into three parts and the first part of the book
00:12I really liked it, it captivated me right away and I read it practically in one sitting.
00:18The characters, especially Yash and the protagonist, have different weaknesses,
00:22they have communication problems, they have problems taking responsibility
00:26and very often they let themselves be guided by pride and their fears.
00:31This is why their relationship involved me and made me want to continue reading.
00:35because I really had the feeling that something big and significant was going to happen.
00:41Then comes the second part and here I don't find what I expect and I start to get a little lost
00:46and I feel like I'm getting further and further away from the story.
00:50What didn't convince me was that I expected to find an evolution of the characters.
00:55or of their relationship and instead it seemed more like a final reconciliation
00:59where the circle closes, the circle of history, but there are many empty spots in the middle
01:05which, in fact, didn't convince me and probably left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.
01:11It's as if this book were the first draft of a book.
01:14A book that could have had great potential to be a great story
01:18but it ended too soon and in my opinion there are too many gaps
01:24which then make you detach yourself from the story on an emotional level too
01:28because honestly, although there are many things that happen that are obviously not pleasant
01:32I didn't feel that emotionally involved.
01:36precisely because certain things didn't add up for me.
01:39Ironically, the first part moved me much more.
01:42I mean, I felt much more empathetic towards the characters at the beginning than at the end.
01:46That said, the book still deals with interesting topics.
01:49such as some choices we make during our youth
01:53where we are a little more immature and raw
01:56then influence our future.
01:58Talk about how communication is essential in relationships
02:02because sometimes silence, pride, and misunderstandings can create distances that are very difficult to bridge.
02:08It also touches on the topic of trauma and how it can really affect us so much.
02:13the way we experience love and our relationships.
02:16So yes, for me it was an enjoyable read.
02:18The first part definitely got me hooked.
02:22but unfortunately I got a bit lost in the second one
02:25and I had the feeling that the story could have developed much more.
