00:04I'm here today to talk about some new features coming to Windows 10 PCs in the Creators Update,
00:09which is rolling out starting today to Windows 10 PCs worldwide.
00:14With the help of Windows Insiders, this release makes Windows 10 even better for gaming
00:20by adding game streaming with Beam, performance improvements with the new game mode, and more.
00:26Let's take a look at what's new.
00:28Beam is the easiest and most interactive way to stream gameplay on Windows 10.
00:34Simply press the Windows key plus G while playing your game to bring up the game bar,
00:39and you'll find we've added a broadcast icon to launch Beam.
00:43No extra software required.
00:46And it's not just easy, but fast.
00:49Beam streams have less than a second of delay,
00:52enabling you to engage and interact with viewers in near real time.
00:56What's more, you can add interactivity into your stream,
01:00giving viewers the ability to trigger animations, sounds, and in-game actions.
01:06Whether you want to share your gameplay with a couple of friends
01:09or build out your broadcasting career,
01:12Beam offers a great way to start streaming.
01:15With the Windows 10 Creators Update,
01:17we now support Windows Game Bar in full-screen mode
01:20with more than 80 of the most popular PC games.
01:26You can now manage your gaming settings for Game Bar,
01:29Beam, and more in the new gaming section of Windows Settings.
01:33Go into Settings, look for the Xbox logo,
01:36and now you have a centralized view of your gaming settings on your PC.
01:41You can customize keyboard shortcuts, recording quality settings, and more.
01:46You've got dedicated settings pages for each feature like Game Bar,
01:51Beam Broadcasting, and Game DVR.
01:56With Game Mode, it's our goal to provide the best
01:59and most consistent gaming experience on Windows 10
02:02by dedicating more system resources to your game.
02:06In a nutshell, Game Mode is designed to try to improve
02:09your overall gaming performance and consistency
02:12by optimizing system resources more efficiently for your game.
02:16And great news, Game Mode works on both your existing games
02:20and new games from the Windows Store.
02:23To enable Game Mode, pull up the Game Bar,
02:25that's Windows Key Plus G, and click on the Settings button.
02:29There, you'll be able to allow the running game to use Game Mode.
02:33The Creators Update is the first milestone in our commitment
02:36to Game Mode and ongoing Windows 10 performance improvements
02:40for PC gaming.
