00:13Please welcome, from Ubisoft,
00:16Creative Director Sean Gdon.
00:23I'm Megan, or Simply Ridling,
00:25and I just got out of the Microsoft briefing.
00:27Ancient Egypt is the birthplace
00:29of modern civilization.
00:31And it is also the birthplace
00:33of the Assassin's Brotherhood.
00:36I was invited to attend
00:37by the Ubisoft Assassin's Creed team.
00:39I got to see the live reveal
00:41and everybody's reaction to the live reveal
00:42of Assassin's Creed Origins, and it was really exciting
00:45to be a part of that. It was just so cool.
00:47You know, immediately after going on social media
00:48and seeing everybody, like, spamming tweets
00:50about how excited they are.
00:52We are here at the Orpheum Theatre.
00:54Ubisoft E3 is going to be starting very, very soon.
00:56So the new Assassin's Creed was unveiled yesterday,
00:58and hopefully we'll be able to see some more footage
01:00and some more gameplay today.
01:04Hi. I'm Ashraf Ismel,
01:07Game Director for Assassin's Creed Origins.
01:10I've waited a long time to say that.
01:17Just got out of the Ubisoft E3 press conference.
01:20A lot of amazing stuff.
01:21Of course, Assassin's Creed Origins was there.
01:23New gameplay trailer, amazing looking.
01:26I can't wait to go back to the Ubisoft Lounge
01:28and to the Convention Center
01:29to get my hands on this game
01:31and get involved in all the activities
01:32that Ubisoft have for Assassin's Creed
01:34and all the other titles.
01:56The first thing that, like, blew me away was just how much there is in such a small space between
02:02going into the Nile and, like, interacting with, like, the wildlife.
02:04So crazy just, like, to look at.
02:07I'm really thinking that it's a big change as far as the combat goes.
02:11I used to have a lot of time racking up a lot of kills and stuff like that.
02:14I was really good at that, and now I'm actually enjoying the challenge level that's coming with it.
02:18I like the options of being able to go hand-to-hand or use the longer distance with the arrows,
02:24and I'm excited.
02:26It gives me some variety.
02:27You have the ability to switch to your bird, and that was really cool and really helpful,
02:32because you get a bird's-eye view whenever you want, which was awesome.
02:34Well, more than anything, I like the graphics.
02:36The water on the first mission had you dive to the very bottom,
02:39and I wasn't, like, expecting for everything to look so smooth and real, and I loved it.
02:44I'm excited. It looks really good.
02:46It's probably the best-looking game I've ever seen.
02:54We're here at the Ubisoft Lounge.
02:56It's down the street from the LA Convention Center where they're holding E3.
02:58It's a special location where Ubisoft invites star players as well as media to get a look at their games.
03:03One of the first things that I did was I took a look at the map, and, oh, my God,
03:08it is huge.
03:08The portion of the map that we got to see was just a small portion, obviously,
03:13but the rest of it, I mean, I can't wait to explore all of Egypt and Assassin's Creed Orchards.
03:19How's your E3 experience been so far here with Assassin's Creed?
03:21It's been absolutely phenomenal.
03:23I think most gamers can say it's their dream to visit E3,
03:26so actually being here is very overwhelming, but it's been really great.
03:30We've had so much going on every day, so many activities and hanging out with people.
03:34We got to go to one of the big museums in Los Angeles and get to see the Egyptian exhibit,
03:37which I was very excited about.
03:39And every second's been really fun, so I've been loving it, yeah.
03:42Here at the Lounge, we actually had a chance to attend a special panel hosted by Jean,
03:46who's the creative director, and Ash, who's the game director on Assassin's Creed Origins.
03:49We got to ask them questions about their new game.
03:51We got to talk a little bit about the RPG elements of it,
03:55how they've changed certain systems, the characters, the lore, the environments,
03:59kind of what inspired them to switch back to an older timeline instead of moving forward
04:03like they have been in previous games.
04:05They're very passionate about this project, and it makes me really excited to play it.
04:09October cannot come soon enough.
04:13What has been your highlight?
04:15Oh, jeez. I think just walking into the Ubisoft booth for the first time this week
04:19and seeing just all the amazing displays, all the amazing games.
04:22A very varied experience, and we are so grateful for it all.
04:26We cannot thank Ubisoft enough for bringing us out here and helping us experience all of this.
04:30We wouldn't be here otherwise, and they're just so great to us.
04:33Thank you guys for watching, and we'll see you again soon.
