00:00In other news, the Philippine National Police Anti-Cyber Crime Group, or PNP-ACG, has rescued eight minors.
00:07This following the discovery of the alleged plan to attack their school, allegedly influenced by an online game.
00:14Is it a game or an addiction? As Ryan LeCigues reports.
00:20Lately, it seems that online gaming has become a normal part of a child's growth years.
00:25But the PNP Anti-Cyber Crime Group advises especially parents to guide their children about online gaming.
00:31According to PNP-ACG, online gaming is not safe for the youth.
00:35Aside from the violent themes of some games that may influence them, young people also do not see who they
00:41are interacting with online games, who may take advantage of their young minds.
00:45According to PNP-ACG Director, Police Brigadier General Wilson Asueta, online gaming is allegedly being used as a front to
00:53encourage youth to become violent.
00:56This is evident, they said, in the case of eight minors rescued by the ACG in Marikina and Laguna.
01:03What was thought to be a simple online gaming nearly led to violence.
01:37mayroong tendency to result to violence.
01:41In the investigation of the PNP-ACG, it was discovered that they were allegedly planning to attack their school.
01:47In fact, items that could be used to carry out violence were recovered from them.
02:04The PNP-ACG is now identifying those behind nihilistic violence or the teaching of senseless violence to children.
02:20tantamon to nihilistic violence.
02:23The following are said to be signs that a child is already addicted to online games.
02:27First is when there is a change in behavior.
02:31They hardly sleep and eat.
02:32They post violent content, avoid family and parents, and show a desire to end their own life.
02:38Ryan Lisigas from the National TV Network for a new and better Philippines.
