00:00Here we go.
00:02So this map is called Zerisian, right?
00:05Seredsin, yes.
00:07So the first thing to note about this map is it is a small urban map.
00:11It's going to be very infantry focused, but as we can see, there's already a tank on play.
00:17This is going to play a big part in the map, as you see, as we go along here.
00:20I believe you can only get one tank per faction, is that correct?
00:24That's right. Each team only gets one tank, so it's going to be a critical part of each match.
00:30And as you can see here, this is a very unique tank.
00:32This is not a Russian tank.
00:35Russians were known for their armored cars during World War I.
00:38This is a Mark V. It's a British tank.
00:41In 1919, they started to support the Russian Revolution.
00:45One of the things I do want to point out on this particular map is the fact that there are
00:49only three flags.
00:50This is actually not common in Battlefield.
00:52So a very, very small map, and a lot of action, I imagine, is going to be happening around that
00:57B site.
00:57That's right, yes. And as we know, and for those who don't know, Conquest is all about capturing those flags.
01:03That's your objective. You need to go capture those flags and get those points.
01:07The kills will also count for you, but this is what you're going for.
01:12This is the classic Battlefield 1 mode.
01:15And actually, just on screen now, I think this is one of the new weapons that's coming with this expansion
01:18pack.
01:19Yes, this is the Perino, and it looks like we also pulled out the Obrez.
01:23But yeah, this is the Perino. It's also dressed up in the new skin, the Fabergé.
01:29Yeah, it looks really good, that one, actually.
01:31And that's a set across all of the new weapons that are coming, right?
01:34That's right, yeah. It's something that we're showing off a little bit.
01:37It's to kind of honor one of the Russian designers.
01:40Oh, that's cool.
01:41And now we have one of probably the best shotgunners out there was Jack Fraggs out there.
01:45But now we switched over to Darkness here, who is once again going to be using that new LMG.
01:50And you can see him trying to get as much ammo out to his teammates there to cap over onto
01:54the C flag.
01:55Now, this is something that we have seen in previous games where, you know,
01:58that B site is so hard to take that you do have people going in for the flanks.
02:01and now it's going to be interesting to see how the Lightguard actually come back after this.
02:08Yeah, because as you say, the Red Army falling behind here a little bit.
02:11But the two capture flags on the outside, A and C, they're sort of like the gimme flags, right?
02:16And the fight sort of focuses around that B center point.
02:19Yeah, taking the flags close to your headquarters is going to be the simple task.
02:22But good teams are going to start flanking around and trying to take those points.
02:25The most contentious point is going to be B in the Cathedral of Light in the center of the map.
02:30You can see some of the more flatter areas around the Cathedral of Light here.
02:34But obviously, a lot of cover as well.
02:35There's some rudimentary trenches there.
02:37There's some heavy cover.
02:39Lots of, like, broken wood and barbed wire as well.
02:41So there's lots for, sort of, infantry to hide in.
02:43Yeah, absolutely.
02:44You did mention the rudimentary trenches.
02:46And that's something to note.
02:46On the Eastern Front, they didn't spend a lot of time digging those trenches
02:49like they did on the Western Front during World War I.
02:52That's showcased here.
02:53So we've also seen a lot of the, basically, destruction buildings that are kind of torn down.
02:58How much, you know, destruction can the player have on this map?
03:03Oh, that's a great question.
03:04Actually, not a whole lot.
03:05There's going to be some.
03:06You'll see a little bit of what we call micro-destruction.
03:09But the hard cover that we're seeing is stuff that we wanted to keep in game,
03:12keep the game balanced, make sure that you stay safe when you're weaving in and out
03:16to get to your objectives.
03:18Now, I think I'm right in saying here that the A capture point is heavily infantry focused, right?
03:23Yes, it is.
03:24It is within those ruins of the former neighborhood.
03:27And it's going to be hard for a tank to get those lines of sight.
03:31As you can see there, there's a sort of a large roadway through the middle of it.
03:34But if they try to branch off down maybe one of the smaller alleyways,
03:37which they can get down, but there's infantry everywhere.
03:40It's going to be really tight.
03:41And you might find yourself with a mine in your way.
03:44See down here at the bottom of the screen,
03:45one of the machine gunners using the old Mark V tank that's buried in the ground as cover there.
03:49It's a really good use of cover that's an indestructible piece right there.
03:53Right now, though, a massive wave coming in from that B site
03:57to try and push those players back into their alpha flag.
04:00But this is pretty interesting right now
04:02because we do have that bottleneck that you were talking about,
04:04but it's kind of on the reverse.
04:06They can't really break out into it.
04:08That tank maybe needs to get a little bit more aggressive,
04:10try and push on in there.
04:11But they are just having one heck of a time here.
04:14Yeah, the Red Army are trying to push in.
04:15But as you can see in a couple of shots back,
04:17the White Guard are sitting in that first line of trenches.
04:20There's about seven soldiers in there
04:21just sort of keeping this tank from pushing forward.
04:23You can see with the explosives coming in on the tank here,
04:25they're kind of keeping it at bay
04:26because too many infantry around a tank, it will take it down.
04:29That's right.
04:29It looks like we just entered into the Cathedral of Light here.
04:33And we're hopping on the window.
04:36Yeah, but here we can actually see inside.
04:37And this is something I think we should talk about
04:39because it's actually a beautiful building inside there.
04:41Yeah, a lot of work was put into that building.
04:43It's a shame that most players are going to be running around
04:46quite hectically during the time there.
04:48If you have time to stop and just look, it's really beautiful.
04:52Here we are with the, this is the double barrel shotgun.
04:54We should be able to get a little bit of action with it here.
04:56That's right.
04:57I'm right in thinking that you can fire both shells at once
04:59with this thing if you want to.
05:01Yes.
05:02That's like a double dose of pain right there.
05:04Absolutely.
05:05And it's fantastic for taking down the cavalrymen as well.
05:08But right now, oh, we have another new gun right here on screen.
05:11This is from the medic class, I believe.
05:12That's right.
05:13It's the Fedorov Avtomat.
05:14And this one is really unique in that it allows you
05:16to be able to choose your firing type.
05:18So you can go burst or you can go single shot.
05:25And we are starting to see right now the score kind of pulling apart.
05:28Nice shot.
05:29That's a nice takedown.
05:31Yeah, but we can see the white guard pulling away
05:32just a little bit in terms of score here.
05:34And as you said, they've held the majority of flags,
05:37two out of three for most of the game so far.
05:38And the Red Army tank wasn't really pushing too much
05:42towards the B point, the cathedral.
05:44And I think that's going to be something they'll need to do
05:47if they want to try and take it back.
05:48Because the tank having the presence
05:49is going to allow infantry to move up around the outside of it.
05:55And right now we can see a pretty big battle happening over here
05:58onto that C side of the map.
06:00Looks like they are going to be able to defend it for now.
06:02But they are getting a lot of pressure on that particular point.
06:06And for now, looks like they will be able to hold it off.
06:08A little bit of push coming in onto the cathedral.
06:11But you can just see how difficult it is,
06:13especially without any good tank,
06:14which potentially could go down here.
06:16But, oh, nice shotgun there.
06:19That's going to be Jack Braggs.
06:20Can he come out?
06:21He does.
06:22Gets the knife.

06:26Close quarters with the shotgun.

06:33One thing to note about this map
06:35is it is actually a critical point in a critical place.
06:38It's in the port of the Volga River.
06:40So anyone who controlled this point
06:41also got to control the route of supplies.
06:44So this was something that the Red Army really wanted to take
06:47and control while they were trying to fight their way
06:50to control Russia.
06:52Well, right now they're facing a rather big push
06:54from the White Guard.
06:55As you can see here, we've got some tank action going on,
06:58but they seem to be separated at the moment.
06:59There's so much infantry action going on in the middle
07:01that they don't want to push too much
07:02and then lose the tank.
07:03It's a vital part of the battle.
07:05The tank is really trying to hold on here.
07:08Yeah, the Red Army really struggling to get any point.
07:10Now almost going to get three captain.
07:12and we all know that if you're getting three captain conquest,
07:14the game could end fairly early.
07:16So they really need to rally back
07:18and get onto that point as quickly as possible.
07:21I think they've solidified the A capture point now.
07:23Looking at it again,
07:24it doesn't appear to be contested right now.
07:26So perhaps they sort of settle back down again,
07:28but they really do need to make a push for that cathedral
07:30if they want to try and claw their way back in.
07:31I think that's the key to this win right here.
07:33Anyone who controls B is going to have that victory.
07:37See here doing some damage against that enemy tank,
07:40all the explosives going on.
07:41This is why the infantry can be so dangerous,
07:42especially when it's just one tank on its own.
07:44This is the only vehicle that your team's going to have.
07:47You really need to try and protect it from enemy infantry.
07:51Yeah, it is really just a fantastic sight right there.
07:54Looking at it from above,
07:56you do have some cavalry trying to come in,
07:58maybe do a little bit of harassment there,
07:59but this tank is literally just,
08:01he doesn't know what to do.
08:02He's already pushed all the way back to the out-of-bound zone,
08:05but we are going to be seeing him slowly but surely
08:07kind of inching his way up.
08:08He has about half health,
08:09so he does need to be careful.
08:11But, you know, this is really interesting too
08:13because we haven't really seen too much
08:14from the other team's tanks,
08:16so maybe they've kind of just focused on
08:18purely just pushing him in terms of infantry.
08:20Oh, here we see an actual battle going on
08:21at the cathedral right now.
08:22You can see the flag is being contested.
08:24Both sets of infantry are in here trying to battle it out.
08:27And as much as it looks just like a building on its own,
08:29it is a really large building.
08:30This is a great shot here.
08:31You can see the full scope of the building now.
08:34Yeah, it's absolutely insane,
08:35the size and scope of this building.
08:38Not only that,
08:39but you do have some vertical gameplay with it
08:40because one of the entrances where it's crumbled
08:43at the side where it's been hit by a shell of some sort,
08:45you can actually get up into sort of the first level
08:47of buildings around the top there.
08:49Yeah, I actually think that's going to be
08:50one of the keys to victory too for this point.
08:52When you can get to high ground,
08:53you can control that point.
08:55One of the things I do want to point out though
08:57is that the Red Army is starting to come back.
08:59They were capping over there onto that Bravo point.
09:01They have about four minutes left,
09:02so it is possible for them to come back
09:04and try and take this win here.
09:06They just need to hold on to these two flags,
09:08but a massive fight now happening for the center.
09:11And you can see right now the White Guard
09:13starting to win that back slowly but surely
09:15as the new weapons are being used
09:17to quite good effect here.
09:19And this is just chaos right here in the middle of the map.
09:22Just as we suspected when we were building the map
09:24that this was going to be the most contentious area.
09:26Lots of people pouring into the doors
09:28and trying to get access to this point.
09:30And as you say, you can see just across from each other
09:33there's two sort of entrance doors.
09:35And there's one at the rear and at the front.
09:36You can almost jump out from the top floor as well.
09:38So there's lots of different ways that infantry
09:40can get in and out of this building.
09:41So whatever team is in there has got to be careful
09:44that the enemy team doesn't try and come
09:45and take it straight back.
09:46At the same time though,
09:48the team in the center has to be careful
09:49not to get too concentrated
09:51because if you look there
09:52they were taking their back flag.
09:54So they need to make sure they kind of spread out
09:56and kind of get a little bit even throughout the map
09:58and then defend that way.
10:00But, you know, right now the flank
10:02is going to be working for,
10:04I believe it was the Red Army
10:05trying to go ahead and secure those two caps.
10:08Yep.
10:09You can see here, yeah,
10:10the Red Army have got control of the A capture point
10:12and I believe they're contesting the C capture point.
10:14Working on C.
10:15Yeah, they're working on it.
10:16Ooh, and we got a flame trooper right here.
10:17So how many kits do we have for the elite classes?
10:21We actually have three elite classes on here right now.
10:23So you can get the flame trooper
10:24and that's around the outskirts of this area here,
10:27the perimeter of the cathedral.
10:29You may also find a centric kit here.
10:31We also have a water-cooled LMG centric kit
10:36that's something that will spawn on your headquarters
10:39if you control all three points.
10:40Oh, okay.
10:41So there's a third one further away from the...
10:42Look at all the enemies here.
10:44Oh, here we go.
10:45He is going to roast them nice and totally.
10:47He picks up one,
10:49picks up a second one potentially here
10:51and he just did a fantastic job
10:53of clearing out those players.
10:55We'll have plenty of health as well
10:56and he's going to re-engage.

11:02I'm guessing this is what you guys exactly thought

11:06We'll put it near the cathedral
11:07where it's going to be most effective, right?
11:09Right in these hallways, just a perfect use.
11:12This is just not even fair right here.
11:14He's just going and running train on these guys.
11:17But we got two minutes left here on this particular map.
11:21A little over 100 points down for the Red Army.
11:24Right.
11:24The White Guard is pulling away here.
11:27They seem to have dominated very much from the start
11:29and I think perhaps the Red Army just suffered a little bit
11:32from not being a little bit more aggressive at the start,
11:34trying to contest the cathedral earlier on,
11:36maybe try and gain a bit more of a foothold in the match.
11:39Yep.
11:40Absolutely.
11:40You can see right now just so much chaos.
11:42You have the above action there from the second level
11:45shooting on down.
11:46So many players just trying to scramble
11:47and get up there as quickly as possible to clear it out
11:49as we're still following Jack here in the flame trooper.
11:52Now we're going to be passing it on to Thicke
11:54as we will be pushing on him once more.
11:57Hmm.

11:58It's not going to make it.
11:59This is the problem.
12:00Because the White Guard are sitting inside the cathedral,
12:03the Red Army are having a horrible time
12:04trying to actually get in.
12:06Yeah, but it looks like we've got the tank up close.
12:09It's just taking a lot of fire damage here.
12:12He's doing damage to the tank
12:13by hitting it with the flamethrower.
12:14I was about to say,
12:15I was like,
12:15there's no way he's going to take out a tank
12:17with a flamethrower here.
12:18It might just happen.
12:19But he could possibly do that.
12:24And you can see right now,
12:25yeah, just the infantry
12:26trying to pour in from the sides
12:27but not able to do so.
12:28The tank is kind of baffled
12:29as to what to do right here.
12:31He is getting a couple of kills,
12:32but this is just massive craziness going down.
12:36We're down to almost the last half a minute here.
12:39Yeah, we're getting really close down to the wire here.
12:41The Red Army is still trying to break in
12:43to the cathedral.
12:45They made a little bit of headway,
12:46but they are contesting the flag now.
12:48But it may be too little, too late.
12:51I think we might be seeing, yeah,

12:53writing on the wall here.

12:57But we do have a little bit of life left here

13:02They're going to try and do everything
