00:03I'm Paul Kustlin, I'm one of the multiplayer producers here at DICE for Star Wars Battlefront II
00:07and today we're going to take a look at Arcade.
00:10So in the Beta we have the Onslaught mode and we have the Team Battle mode.
00:14So there's a little bit of difference between the two of them.
00:16Team Battle is where you can play with or against a friend
00:19and try to be the first to kill 75 units.
00:23Or in this one it looks like you're playing Onslaught where you want to kill 25 guys as fast as
00:27possible.
00:29In Arcade you'll be able to play as Darth Maul or you'll be able to play as our B2 Super
00:33Battle Droid.
00:34Darth Maul, a bit more, as you can imagine, a bit more of a powerhouse.
00:38He has quite a few abilities, one of them I think hopefully, oh you just saw one of them there,
00:42is his spin dash attack where he's able to leap at a player, do some damage.
00:47He can also do a saber throw and as lastly he can do a force choke.
00:52You'll also be able to play as the B2 Rocket Droid.
00:54The Rocket Droid has wrist rockets as you can imagine and he also has jump dashes that he can do
00:58either horizontally or vertically to give him a bit more of that agile gameplay,
01:02try to come at players at a very unsuspecting angle or just be very quick on the battlefield.
01:09So the objective is try to get your time, you know, how quickly can you complete it?
01:13And you see there's star ranking depending on how well you perform.
01:16This is for the open beta, it is exclusively a split screen experience and it will be that way at
01:21launch as well.
01:22We want to be able to really enable couch co-op play.
01:25We saw that a lot of people were really utilizing the couch aspect, you know, the local co-op, sorry,
01:31in the previous game and that's something that we definitely want to give fans this time around.
01:34Naboo wasn't in the previous game so thankfully people get to see all new locations,
01:39you know, that's a big thing that we've been touting with Battlefront 2 is that there's just so much more
01:43stuff there,
01:44something from every era and I think that Naboo really shows off a lot of that.
01:47We have indoor play, outdoor play, so there's a lot of stuff there and you can see just some of
01:52the exquisite detail that we go to
01:54and, you know, working with our partners at Lucasfilm, there's a ton of stuff and all that small attention to
01:58detail.
01:59You know, we've been talking a lot about them with what are the things that are in this grand palace
02:05that players will want to see that they may remember from movies or have seen in the background of a
02:08movie even.
02:10So in the full open beta you'll have not only the arcade mode which we're looking at right here really
02:14quickly,
02:15we'll also have Strike on Takodana and we'll have the Galactic Assault on Naboo.
