00:02I'm Paul Kustlin, I'm one of the Multiplayer Producers over here at DICE for Star Wars Battlefront 2
00:06and today we're going to take a look at Arcade.
00:08So in the beta we have the Onslaught mode and we have the Team Battle mode.
00:13So there's a little bit of difference between the two of them.
00:14Team Battle is where you can play with or against a friend and try to be the first to kill
00:1975 units.
00:21Or in this one it looks like you're playing Onslaught where you want to kill 25 guys as fast as
00:25possible.
00:27In Arcade you'll be able to play as Darth Maul or you'll be able to play as our B2 Super
00:32Battle Droid.
00:32Darth Maul, a bit more, as you can imagine, a bit more of a powerhouse.
00:36He has quite a few abilities, one of them I think hopefully, oh you just saw one of them there,
00:41is his Spin Dash Attack
00:42where he's able to leap at a player, do some damage, he can also do a Saber Throw and lastly
00:48he can do a Force Choke.
00:50You'll also be able to play as the B2 Rocket Droid.
00:52The Rocket Droid has wrist rockets as you can imagine and he also has jump dashes that he can do
00:57either horizontally or vertically
00:58to give him a bit more of that agile gameplay, try to come at players at a very unsuspecting angle
01:04or just be very quick on the battlefield.
01:08So the objective is try to get your time, you know, how quickly can you complete it?
01:11And you see there's star ranking depending on how well you perform.
01:14This is for the open beta, it is exclusively a split screen experience and it will be that way at
01:20launch as well.
01:21We want to be able to really enable couch co-op play, we saw that a lot of people were
01:25really utilizing the couch aspect,
01:27you know, the local co-op sorry, in the previous game and that's something that we definitely want to give
01:31fans this time around.
01:33Naboo wasn't in the previous game, so thankfully people get to see all new locations, you know, that's a big
01:38thing that we've been,
01:39we've been touting with Battlefront 2 is that there's just so much more stuff there, something from every era.
01:43And I think that, you know, Naboo really shows off a lot of that, we have indoor play, outdoor play,
01:47so there's a lot of stuff there.
01:49And you can see just some of the exquisite detail that we go to and, you know, working with our
01:53partners at Lucasfilm,
01:54there's a ton of stuff and all that small attention to detail, you know, we've been talking a lot about
01:59them with
02:00what are the things that are in this grand palace that players will want to see that they may remember
02:05from movies or have seen in the background of a movie even.
02:09So in the full open beta you'll have not only the arcade mode, which we're looking at right here really
02:13quickly,
02:13we'll also have Strike on Takodana and we'll have the Galactic Assault on Naboo.
