00:00PEGI 18
00:30In the past has been sort of an avatar that the player embodies and then does whatever they want
00:35But in a modern setting in modern times
00:38Characters need to have more depth and more complexity
00:41So we've been able to see a little bit more of Rico
00:44This new chapter of his life. What's going on? What are his motivations?
00:48He's looking a little rough around the edges
00:50So we're here to find out what is going on with Rico and why is he here in the world
00:55of Solis?
00:57We continually want to make Rico more human. He's not just a Terminator android that runs around doing whatever he
01:04wants without consequence
01:05Wingsuit for this time around has been much more realistic
01:10How it works both with Rico, but how it reacts to wind and the world in general
01:17Rico surrounds himself the cast of characters that are a reflection of parts of Rico that are missing
01:21We all knew we wanted to bring back the badass
01:25We'd like to talk about Rico as the ultimate action hero
01:29We'd like to talk about as a force of nature
01:32We can't go backwards and all of a sudden
01:34Decide that bullets and rockets are Rico's weakness, but extreme weather that sort of changes the game for Rico. That's
01:40something
01:40He can't necessarily shoot. That's not something he can necessarily blow up
01:44It's something he has to work with others to deal with
01:48Rico is kind of a human tornado and of himself
01:51So what happens when he runs up against a real tornado?
01:54Yeah, usually where Rico goes there is chaos having like tornadoes and hurricanes fit perfectly well into that adding more
02:02chaos
02:02We have thrown quite a lot at him this time around, but it's
02:07He hasn't had enough
02:09Rico doesn't feel like this cardboard cutter of a character anymore. He doesn't feel like just your mid-30s action
02:15hero
02:16When you when you look at sort of the action hero pantheon
02:19I think the coolest thing that you can possibly do is see them kind of fall on their ass or
02:23get their ass kicked at least once or twice
02:25At the end of the day, he's still an action hero
02:27There's definitely an archetype inherently within that
02:30But but we want him to be his own guy
02:31We want Rico Rodriguez to be distinguishable from kind of the field of action heroes
02:35So it's very easy
02:38To sit with an art director or a lead character artist and say this is what I'm feeling
02:44Makes sense and when you hear them come back to you with
02:47Yeah, we're on the same page all the fantasies and all the stuff that you you can't really do yourself
02:54You can always
02:55Put that on Rico and and allow him to do that
02:58Yeah, you know Rico's presented with an enemy that just on the sheer level of force is greater than he
03:03could ever be
03:04But he's still rocking a leather jacket in the jungle. So he's
03:08Still that guy that you want to you kind of enjoy playing as
03:12Taking on the world with
