Towering twin Oscar statuettes take their place on the red carpet

A pair of oversized statuettes resembling the Oscar — Hollywood's most coveted prize — were set in place on the red carpet on Saturday. Teams of workers could be seen wheeling in the massive gold-colored statuettes and using a crane to set them upright. The twin Oscars stand at the entrance to the theater, just at the end of the red carpet. On Sunday the world's biggest stars and entertainment power players will gather for the 98th annual Academy Awards.
