00:22I'll start with Chris there, please.
00:25How do you want to end Lucas's second win at Stuntbridge in the Premier League era?
00:31Yeah, as I said on Friday, I wasn't aware the record was that bad here for us,
00:37so it's nice to end that and get the win on so many levels today.
00:41That was such an important victory with what we have coming up ahead this week
00:45with the two massive games.
00:47It's great to go into those games with the good feeling that we have
00:50and I thought the mentality, the effort today was very, very good.
00:55You mentioned the mentality in the Premier League away win of the season
00:58and also as your first clean sheet in 15-0, how important was that defensive performance?
01:04Yeah, long overdue really from us because I think we've got some really good defenders.
01:07I mean, you can see today that what they gave, what the players gave to protect our goal was huge
01:13and we needed that more this season and I think we're capable of doing it.
01:18So it's a bit of a frustration for us really over the season as a whole.
01:20We haven't defended better.
01:22But we had a little bit of luck that's eluded us, I think, a lot of the time on the
01:26road.
01:29So I'm just really, really pleased that with what the players gave, we made changes to the team.
01:34The players that came in really stepped up too and I think it's been a really positive day for us.
01:39How much belief can that give you?
01:41Yeah, huge. I think we needed to win today to give us any chance of winning in Barcelona
01:46and progressing through the Champions League.
01:47It's such a difficult game, but you need that confidence that winning gives you.
01:52That's back-to-back wins in the Premier League now, which is so important.
01:55We'll be in a better place for today and now all eyes on Barcelona.
02:00We've got Dom and Jordan, players in the middle.
02:02You mentioned the players coming in stepping up.
02:06What did you think of his performance and how is he doing?
02:10I don't know 100% how he is.
02:12I've not had time to sit with him and discuss it.
02:15Yeah, I thought he was immense today, Joe.
02:17Highlighted by the goal, really.
02:19That's Joe at his very best.
02:21Athleticism, speed and then really good decision to square it to Anthony.
02:24Very unselfish.
02:26Nick Voltamade I thought was magnificent today as well.
02:28JJ in an unfamiliar role.
02:31So we had players sort of playing out of position,
02:32but you wouldn't really have known it from our performance.
02:36Big well done to everybody.
02:37Just on the midfield, how is he doing?
02:42Yeah, we hope so.
02:43I've got no idea currently his status.
02:47He was feeling unwell after training yesterday.
02:50Quickly became apparent that he wouldn't be able to travel.
02:52So fingers crossed it follows a similar pattern with the other illnesses we've had,
02:56but it's quite a quick recovery.
02:57It's been something going around now for two to three weeks in the squad.
03:00Fingers crossed it's the same.
03:02John?
03:03How much did you need that win since the final league of you?
03:07Yeah, as I said, we needed it.
03:09We haven't had that consistent run of wins that we've had in every other season that I've been here.
03:14It's only by winning four or five games back to back that you can really elevate yourselves.
03:19And it's been missing.
03:20We've desperately tried to make it happen.
03:22But for whatever reason, it hasn't been there.
03:25I'd love to think that this is the start of that.
03:27Obviously, we're running out of games.
03:28We almost need to go in with the mindset we need to win every game now.
03:35How much did he have done for us?
03:38Well, he did.
03:38I mean, he's been magnificent since my time here.
03:41I can't speak highly enough of him on and off the pitch.
03:45Just selfless, wants to help the team.
03:47He's also a very, very good player.
03:49Very underrated in my opinion.
03:51He was elected part of the leadership group by the players themselves.
03:53I think that's the biggest accolade you can get.
03:55And with all the other guys missing, it was his turn to lead the team.
03:58And that'll be a magical moment for him being a Newcastle fan as a child.
04:02And I'm delighted for it.
04:04We've got a gentleman at the front of the green and then Craig Hope, please.
04:07Hi, Andy.
04:08Just on the goal, it looked like you pulled Chelsea out of shape,
04:12basically.
04:15I don't think you can sort of look at it that detailed.
04:25Or as simplistic as that.
04:27We work on certain things all the time.
04:29One of those will be using Joe's strengths, which is running from midfield as part of his game.
04:36So a sort of a mixture of Joe's talents and how we play.
04:41We're a very athletic team.
04:42I think you can see that today.
04:43I think we had a lot of good runners in the side and our goal contributed to that as well.
04:48Craig?
05:01Yeah, I probably wouldn't say it's unfamiliar for him now.
05:04I think he views himself probably as a centre forward.
05:07I think he's really enjoyed the role.
05:09I think you can see that with his performances.
05:11He wouldn't be playing to the level that he is if he wasn't, you know, really wanting to do it.
05:16But I thought he was magnificent today in every respect.
05:19Out of possession, he covered an incredible amount of ground for us.
05:23But also his tactical understanding of who to press, when to press them.
05:28I thought he really helped us defensively.
05:30So he had the big moment with the goal, which is ultimately what he will want to do consistently.
05:35But a top performance.
05:47It's got absolutely zero relevance to me.
05:50I was totally non-fussed by it.
05:53I don't pay any attention to things like that.
05:55It's not going to help us win or lose the game.
05:57Thank you. We've got the gentleman in the middle there, please, and then Kieran Kelly.
06:19Well, I'd say from a football perspective, he's handled it brilliantly because you wouldn't know that he's fasting
06:24and there's been no impact on his performance at all.
06:27So that's a real credit to him.
06:28The details of sort of what he does, I'm slightly unsure on.
06:32I know he's been in regular contact with our sports science team and our nutritionist
06:35to make sure that he gets what he needs when he can eat.
06:39But he's been outstanding.
06:41And I think today, again, he was crucial to our win with Sven Botman and Dan Byrne at the back.
06:46Thank you. Kieran.
06:57I think Ant's so single minded and so focused on what he needs to do.
07:01I think a lot of the noise just brushes off him, which is a great thing to be able to
07:06do if you're him.
07:07I'd encourage every player to do it.
07:10Don't get distracted, don't absorb it, don't take anything in, just focus on what you need to do.
07:14And I think that's what he always does.
07:16I think he's been in a really good place of late.
07:19I've been very, very happy with what he's delivered.
07:22And this was a big game and he really stepped up and, of course, scored the goal.
07:27But as I said, contributed in so many ways to the win.
07:37I think, of course, we've analyzed our waveform almost as much as you have, I think.
07:45I'd probably say our athleticism's returned.
07:47I think we've had really, really good, you know, physical returns on the road recently.
07:53And I think that's helped our results.
07:54I think that's always been the hallmark of what we've done over the years.
07:58We try to really compete athletically.
08:01I think you have to away from home.
08:03And today I thought our quick players really sprinted and gave them problems.
08:06So I'd say that's probably been the biggest difference.
08:09We've got two here.
08:10Matt, if you'd like someone to ask mine.
08:12Just on Sampley, there's been some comments from one of his representatives today about
08:16having a plan to join Arsenal and Manchester City at some point.
08:19I just don't think you have any thoughts on that.
08:22I've got no idea.
08:23I've not seen those comments, so it's difficult for me to comment.
08:27Thank you very much, guys.
08:29Thanks a lot.
