00:13Good evening, everyone. If you have a question, please get my attention and we'll come to as many views as
00:18we can.
00:18Who wants to start us off? George Corkin.
00:22Hi, mate. I know it's another defeat, but what do you, if you're grieving about defeat, what do you take
00:29out of it?
00:30Yeah, I thought it was much better from us as a group of men. I thought we stood up to
00:37the physical challenge of Arsenal.
00:38I thought we were much better off the ball, much better defensive performance.
00:42We looked more like ourselves in that respect. We defended our goal much better today.
00:50In recent weeks, that's been a definite weakness.
00:54Of course, we've conceded a goal and we've lost the game, which ultimately is what matters the most.
00:59But I think positive signs that hopefully we can rediscover our best defensive mentality, which we're going to need.
01:06And then the other side of that is I thought it was a better performance with the ball as well.
01:09With Bruno's return, we were more controlled in our build.
01:14I thought we were brave with the ball and we created chances to score as well.
01:17So, performance-wise, I'm much more satisfied with that.
01:23But of course, it's another defeat and can't lose sight of the fact that we've lost too many games.
01:28OK, Lee, Craig and Jordan. Lee?
01:31I think just one on Lewis Hall, obviously, didn't get any involvement today.
01:35Was that a difficult conversation that you had with him?
01:39Yeah, it's always a difficult decision because Lewis is an outstanding player
01:44and never for any second doubt his qualities and what he can bring to the team.
01:49But I felt today, for a number of reasons, that Dan was the right pick in terms of height and
01:54physicality
01:54and dealing with Arsenal's threats.
01:57Dan's never let us down in that position.
02:00He plays it very differently to Lewis.
02:03But I felt that was the right call for this game.
02:06OK, Craig.
02:07And you've spoken there about improvement in defence and the drive and energy and purpose in midfield.
02:12What then happened in the final third to not be able to compare it on that?
02:15I think it's the first time in 19 games you haven't scored.
02:18Yeah.
02:19I think there were chances there for us, Craig.
02:21Maybe not in the abundance that you'd want in a game.
02:25From Willis Sula's moment in the first few seconds of the game to,
02:28obviously, Yowans is probably our biggest chance.
02:31Burns' header back post.
02:32Sandra has shot that Raya does well to save.
02:34So I thought there was moments.
02:36I mean, I think against Arsenal, you were never probably going to come here
02:39and create loads of opportunities with their defensive performances this season.
02:44They've been so strong.
02:45But I thought there was enough for us.
02:46Yes, you'd like to see more.
02:48I think a lot of players playing sort of new together, new relationships
02:54that maybe at times you could see that on the pitch.
02:58But I can't be too critical of the players today.
03:00I've been critical in recent weeks today.
03:02I think I have to say it was a much better performance.
03:04Ultimately, it wasn't good enough.
03:05But I think we have to take the positives.
03:08John, just on the first call, how was Hubbard's and Hesia end up building more?
03:13Yeah, well, we obviously didn't necessarily expect them to play short,
03:16but it's something that we're prepared for.
03:19But we didn't deliver what we needed to deliver at that moment.
03:24Hence, he's had too much time to shoot.
03:25I thought Paul Stewart, the future team are at 8 points above the bottom three silver bars
03:29for the best time to play.
03:30Are you not going to be a show of that at all?
03:32Well, I think we're looking at the fact we haven't won games
03:35and it's too many games without positive results.
03:38So we're looking at next week and trying to win a game
03:42and try and lift the feeling that we currently feel.
03:51Nick did really well today.
03:58I thought Johan and Nick both performed well when they came onto the pitch.
04:01All our subs delivered good performances.
04:04His creativity for Johan's charts, that's what he can do.
04:07He's a very special talent in that respect.
04:09If he plays like he did today,
04:12he'll get loads more minutes and opportunities to impress.
04:14Wait, haven't you played too much?
04:16Well, I think our number nine,
04:18firstly, we've played with a 4-3-3 today.
04:20We changed slightly.
04:21We moulded the team selection.
04:24Our number nines have been scoring.
04:26So, unfortunately, he's had to wait his opportunity.
04:28But, as I say, if he plays like he did today,
04:31I was very, very pleased with him.
04:33Dominic?
04:34What did you make of Bruno's performance today
04:36and how is he after coming off?
04:38He slipped just before that looked a bit.
04:41I think he's OK.
04:42I don't know.
04:42I've not spoke to him directly.
04:44He's walking a bit gingerly,
04:46but I think that's expected
04:46because he's missed so much football
04:48and today was a big effort for him.
04:50But I thought he was outstanding.
04:52Firstly, in his attitude to play the game, really,
04:57with minimal training time.
04:58But just the way he plays,
04:59the way he's brave,
05:00he wants the ball.
05:01He changed the dynamic of the team totally
05:03and showed his qualities throughout.
05:05Spurs have found out this season
05:07the hangover of a poor domestic season
05:09what it can do.
05:11What do you have to do over the next few months
05:13to make sure you don't fall into that same track?
05:17Yeah, we've got a lot to do.
05:18I think we've got challenges
05:22from different sides.
05:25On the pitch, off the pitch,
05:26we've got a big summer coming up,
05:28so we need to be fully prepared for that.
05:31Last one, summer front.
05:32I was just talking about last one,
05:33the big summer coming up.
05:34You had a lot of strikers
05:35with your attacking players
05:36that you threw on today.
05:38Did that show that goal scorer
05:41asked for one moment of brilliance
05:43changes the game?
05:44Do you feel like you quite had that
05:45in your eyes?
05:47No, but I think that there's reasons
05:49why those players haven't necessarily
05:53come in and played the amount of games
05:55that they have.
05:55In Yeoman's case, of course,
05:56he's still finding his best rhythm.
05:58Nick, I think, will be so much better
06:00for this season
06:00and hasn't been able to train with us.
06:03We're beginning to see him look a lot sharper
06:05and a lot more athletic
06:07based on the three weeks training
06:09that he's had with us.
06:09I've been really pleased with that
06:11response from him.
06:13So I think we need to give
06:15these players time
06:15and as I said in the press conference
06:17on Friday,
06:17we'll be a lot better
06:18or those players will be a lot better
06:19next year for this season.
06:22Thanks, everyone.
