The Real Reason Apple Hates Samsung_ The Battle to Kill the iPhone!

00:16So, in the first part of this video, I talked about the legal battles that Apple and Samsung had in
00:21the past.
00:22But there is another reason why Apple might still hate Samsung, and that is because they tried to kill the
00:27iPhone.
00:28Did you guys know that Samsung was one of the suppliers of Apple?
00:32Yeah, believe it or not, but Samsung used to make a lot of key components for Apple, including the displays
00:38for the iPhone.
00:39However, as you guys probably know, Samsung and Apple are direct competitors.
00:45So, Samsung also wanted to launch their own smartphone.
00:48Of course, they could have just called it Samsung iPhone, but that wouldn't sound good, right?
00:53So, instead they decided to call it Galaxy.
00:55Samsung started out slow at first, but as time went on, they started gaining more and more could share.
01:02Samsung grew so big that eventually they became Apple's biggest rival.
01:06But this didn't last forever because in 2010, Steve Jobs announced the new iPhone 4.
01:12As you guys probably know, the iPhone 4 was a great success, and it quickly became one of the best
01:18-selling smartphones in the world.
01:20However, Steve Jobs didn't give Samsung a heads-up about this new iPhone.
01:25He just launched it without telling Samsung anything.
01:28This meant that Samsung couldn't prepare in advance, and this hurt them a lot.
01:32They lost a ton of money.
