00:00Did you always plan on sort of working in this space or was doing The Bachelor sort of a fun
00:06detour that got you here? My grandfather, he was taken from a financial advisor for about 50% of
00:12his net worth. But at 16, my grandpa sat me down and he said, if there's one thing I will
00:16make sure
00:17you know before I leave, it's you're going to understand numbers. And he opened up his whole
00:21portfolio. And at 16, he taught me, he's like, I don't want this to happen to you. Numbers clicked
00:25to me. Bio didn't click to me. Numbers did. And so I was a banker for 10 years, moved all
00:30over. I was
00:31in Seattle and they did something called the Gilda's Club, a bachelor auction, Gilda Radner,
00:36famous comedian, died of ovarian cancer. So they have this foundation where all money will go to
00:41families that are going through cancer treatment. And they did a bachelor auction. They recruited
00:4530 guys, black tie. You got to dress up. Me and my best buddy, I had dinner with them last
00:49night,
00:49actually. We're like, let's do this. It's fun. We're single. So we get in our tuxes. We go to
00:53this event. We have a couple drinks. We get hammered and we start, when we go out there,
00:58I start stripping. I started taking my tuxedo off. I started taking my shirt off. I was like,
01:02if I'm doing this, like I'm raising money. I'm going to make Gilda proud. Yeah.
01:06Eight months later, he called me. He's like, I got the craziest phone call yesterday. I'm like,
01:11wait, so did I. Who called you? He's like, was it the bachelor? I'm like, yeah,
01:14we both got called because we both got submitted that night from videos. There's like 3,000 people there.
01:19That's amazing.
