01:18I think it's a real strange situation
01:23But you can only approach it as the part

01:33And it just so happens that the information about the character
01:37Is that we're clones of the same person
01:40So we've tried to create, you know, physicalities, you know
01:46Ticks and mimics that the three of us do
01:49That are all inherent to that one sort of, you know
01:55Clone, cloning thing of triplets, you know
01:59And we try to do that throughout three seasons
02:02Maybe you spent a lot of time together on and off set
02:05To be just as one as possible
02:08Yeah, definitely
02:09I mean, we've spent almost half a decade of our lives together now
02:12And so I think, of course, the front end of this whole process
02:17Was very intentional
02:18And very much us trying to mimic each other
02:23I think now, as you probably tell with us side by side
02:26I think we're just turning into one person

02:31You can finish each other's sentences
02:34Like in rom-coms
02:36We should do that for the rest of this interview

02:48So how was that aspect of the evolution of your character?
02:54There's also the Council there
02:56There's not only the three of you anymore
02:59Yeah, I mean, I think what Cleons are grappling with this season
03:02Is a completely new understanding of how power works within
03:07Not just Trantor, but the Empire more broadly
03:10And I think as soon as there's that vacuum of power left by Day's absence
03:13Both Dawn and Dusk are rushing to fill that
03:16And I think the frustrating thing about the Galactic Council
03:19Is there's sort of just these bureaucrats that get in the way of us
03:23Getting what we want
03:25Ultimately the Cleons want to just do what they want to do
03:27And they find it very annoying that there's this group of
03:30Like really frustrating people in red coats
03:32Who think they can tell us what to do
03:33When really we're the ones in charge
03:35Or at least we'd like to think so
03:37Well, yeah, I think we're not just a titular head
03:40We actually run run things
03:41And can, you know, kill people
03:48Yeah, that's right
03:50And what do you think your characters and the show
03:55Tells us about politics today?
03:58I think the show
03:59I mean, I think Asimov's writing was very prescient
04:01And I think there's a sort of horrible relevance to the show
04:06Insofar as what the show demonstrates this season
04:09And has done in previous seasons
04:10But I think this season really underscores it
04:12Is the fact that power held for too long
04:15And power held for power's sake is always a dangerous thing
04:18I think what you see in the Cleons is
04:20Regardless of their frailty as people and their insecurity
04:23I think what you see is like an insane level of hubris from Cleon I
04:29And his insistence that he will rule forever
04:31And no one will get in his way
04:34And it just doesn't work
04:35I mean, we see that time and time again
04:37We see that now internationally
04:39With the rise of the far right
04:40And in some countries dictatorships
04:43Which I thought we consigned to history
04:45But now are very much a present day of problems
04:48And I think the Cleons are very strongly representative of that
04:51They don't want to budge
04:54And if history has taught us anything
04:56Is that civilizations
04:57And no, and rise and fall
05:01You know, that's just cyclical
05:03That happens in the world
05:04And power corrupts
05:05And absolute power corrupts absolutely
05:08And that's what we're kind of going through today
05:11You know, in America particularly
05:14But as Cassian said, you know
05:16It's all over the world
05:17Everything's shifting
05:18It's just the big shift
05:19And right now in Foundation Land
05:22We're in this big political shift
05:26I think also what Terry's saying
05:27Which is really interesting
05:28Is the fact that there is an inevitability
05:31To the rise and fall of empires
05:32I think what Asimov was doing at the time
05:35He was inspired by Gibbons
05:36To find decline and fall of the Roman Empire
05:38What's interesting about that
05:39Is that such centuries ago
05:42And yet this show is rooted in a future
05:45That is centuries in the future
05:47And somehow there's a commonality there
05:49I think as time goes on
05:51We think every generation is distinct and original
05:53And actually what Asimov is highlighting
05:55Is the fact that there is an inevitability
05:58To power corrupting
06:00If it's given too strongly to one individual
06:04I guess in our case three
06:07Yeah, we could say that this season
06:09Is the more switching season of all
06:13Because a lot of changes for all the characters
06:16For all the natural order or fields
