00:00What do you make of the criticism of Arsenal this season, though, being over-reliant on set pieces and that's
00:05negatively impacted the Premier League as a whole?
00:07I was going to say to you what criticism?
00:12They've done brilliant at Arsenal.
00:14Mikel's done brilliant.
00:15I know they've been runners up to Man City, but there's absolutely no shame in that over the last decade,
00:21how good Manchester City have been.
00:24He's done a brilliant, brilliant job at Arsenal.
00:28He's got a great team.
00:30And I think they're probably in as big a chance this year of winning the league as they've ever had.
00:37They're right in the mix with the Champions League.
00:39We've got the League Cup, they're in the FA Cup.
00:44So I'd have to question the people who have been critical, that's for sure.
00:47David, just picking up on what Vinny was saying there, how do you prepare your team for a challenge like
00:52Arsenal?
00:53Because, yes, they are physical, yes, they do well at set pieces, but they're a lot more than that, aren't
00:57they?
00:58Well, what's up with any of those things you say?
00:59You're making it sound as if that's a problem because they're good at set pieces and they're a strong physical
01:05side, which I don't see any problem with any of that.
01:10It's part of the game.
01:11And if there's this thing out there where everybody has to play the beautiful game and everything has to be
01:16perfect,
01:16well, if we'd all done that, it would be boring, the football would be boring.
01:19Part of the reason you people are talking about it is because it might be slightly different from what we've
01:23seen for a few years.
01:25And people are talking about it, but it's giving you something to talk about.
01:28And again, I would hate to be going to football matches all the time and seeing football played the one
01:32way.
01:32I think I want teams to play different styles, I want them to play different ways.
01:36We've got some unbelievable managers, Mikel is one of them, who've come into this country and shown us what they
01:44can do,
01:45but maybe they can't really stay with it and do it all the time.
01:49So you can bring in something in, but you've got to have something which is going to work.
01:54Mikel's been able to evolve his team and move it on.
01:59And he's certainly a very good team at the moment.
