00:07carry as commander. Making impossible choices while facing dire situations is at the heart
00:12of the gameplay, and the crisis system illustrates this best. Crises are emergencies that threaten
00:18the fleet's stability and survival, murders, biohazards, critical system malfunctions,
00:23and more. As you try to resolve a crisis, you will suffer its negative effects over time,
00:28like losing supplies to thieves every turn. In some cases, you'll have limited time to prevent a
00:33catastrophe, such as losing a civilian ship entirely. Crises reflect the current state of
00:38your fleet. They are the direct consequence of your choices up to that point. Each crisis will begin
00:44with a brief in the Combat Information Center, where your officers will enter a heated debate
00:48on the best course of action. As commander, you need to determine if you can afford to mobilize
00:53personnel and resources to solve a crisis over time, or if you need to address it immediately,
01:00at a heavy cost. Make no mistake, both choices will come at a price, whether it's resources,
01:06time, or your goodwill with factions. Your decisions will gradually affect faction politics within the
01:13fleet. A faction's relations determine the nature of crises, whereas faction influence determine their
01:19severity. Gain the favor of a powerful faction, and they will offer rewarding opportunities.
01:25Antagonize them, on the other hand, and prepare to deal with severe crises. Some will have paralyzing
01:30consequences for your fleet. Blockades, strikes, and military insubordination, to name a few.
01:36Perhaps the most challenging crisis you'll face will be discovering one of your trusted heroes
01:41is in fact a Cylon traitor. You'll need to investigate all of them, making sure their background confirms
01:47they are indeed real humans. Each check will cost resources and time. Until you unmask it,
01:54the Cylon will be free to sabotage your fleet. Crises are not the only challenges you'll face
