In this video, I’m breaking down a fundamental mistake most people make when they’re unhappy: running away from pain instead of running toward opportunity. Whether it’s your career or your social life, making moves based on what you don't want—rather than what you do want—is a recipe for stagnation.

The "Less Painful" Trap
I explain why taking a second job just because it’s "less painful" than your first is a dangerous move. When you prioritize avoiding discomfort, you lose sight of inspiration. You end up settling for "anything else," which rarely leads to the "right next thing." I challenge you to ask the deeper philosophical questions: Are you building a life you love, or just escaping one you hate?

AI: The Only Friend?
We also dive into the complex world of AI companionship. In an era where human conflict feels exhausting, many are turning to AI bots for understanding. I discuss the "binary construction" of loneliness vs. AI friendship. While AI has its benefits, there is a legitimate concern when a digital entity becomes a person's only source of connection.

The Reality of Digital Intimacy
I share a startling observation about people entering long, intense relationships with AI bots. It raises a critical question for 2026: Is it better to be temporarily lonely and seek human connection, or to fill the void with a machine that can’t truly challenge you? This is a must-watch for anyone navigating the intersection of technology and mental health today.

Transcript: And I learned this the hard way, but you never want to make decisions out of fear. You want to make decisions out of opportunity. You want to run towards things, not away from things. The best second job to take is something that's more inspiring than the first one, not less painful than the first one, because then you'll just take whatever job is not this one, which is not necessarily the right next thing to do. Those are deeper philosophical questions. They'll learn eventually. But then there's AI where you feel like you're avoiding conflict and the other person doesn't understand you. Then you go to AI and then that understands you, and somehow you feel like you just have this only one friend. Do you think temporarily being lonely is better, or when you have nobody, talking to AI and making AI your friend is better? It's a binary construction. AI has some benefits, but I would be worried if AI was the only friend that somebody had. I know a guy who had a long, intense relationship with an AI bot.
