00:00Take me out for some hot dogs.
00:03Sometimes the best place to find a good hot dog is at a burger place.
00:08And Sam's Burger's been in San Francisco right between Little Italy and Chinatown.
00:16Within hailing distance of the Trans-American Tower.
00:20And they have been serving up customers for nearly, actually 60 years, exactly 60 years.
00:27So I'm going to see if their hot dogs are worried in the tank. Let's check them out.
01:03I forgot to put my hot dog hat for the opening.
01:06But here it is now.
01:07And sadly, sadly, they split the dog and put it on a hard roll.
01:15So it looks nicely charred. The charred marks are good.
01:20It's kind of weird. It's like right here at a bus stop.
01:24Let's see how this hot dog actually tastes.
01:51It's an infield single.
01:56You don't split the dog.
01:57This potentially could have been a good hot dog.
01:59Moved any snap.
02:01It takes the juice out when you split the dog.
02:04I really got to tell all you people that.
02:07You like the dual camera look?
02:10I think it frames it nicely.
02:13But they're called Sam's Burgers.
02:15And they're known for their burgers.
02:17And let me look at this burger.
02:18This burger looks gorgeous.
02:20You know, charred mark.
02:21You actually smell the char.
02:23Nice little cheeseburger.
02:25Let's see how it actually tastes.
02:34You know, there's nothing like a char boiled hamburger to that.
02:47You know, you don't get that too often.
02:50You can taste the grill marks.
02:52The natural grill marks.
02:54And you know, I got to give the burger a high mark.
02:59You know, I don't do that one on baseball.
03:00But I'm going to give the baseball, the burger, an 8.4.
03:07You know, you come to Sam's, get the burger.
03:10Get the hot dog.
03:12There are no sort of burgers.
03:14World famous cheeseburger.
03:18Anthony Bourdain loved this hamburger.
03:22And I can see why.
03:24It really does taste great.
03:27And if you know any other place I should go, let me know.
03:31Email me at jtank99 at gmail.com.
03:35Now that's not yet for me to go walking.
03:37Walking down the streets of Gumbelts.
03:40Let me know where I should go next.
03:43You're telling me here, there, everywhere.
03:45Keep broad walking.
03:48Take me out for some hot dogs.
03:52Get me one that's only plain.
03:54No mustard or pork or ketchup.
03:58I'll know what the dog is really about.
04:02And it's hope that this is a good one.
04:06Maybe a home run or a double.
04:08But if it sucks, it will be a strikeout and not worthy of my taste buds.
04:24You know, for a while.
04:37You're telling me the truth, it's tough, but it's tough.
