00:00Hello, everyone. I'm Emily Campagno, along with Jessica Tarloff, Jesse Waters, Dana Perino, and Greg Gutfeld.
00:07It's 5 o'clock in New York City, and this is The Five.
00:19We begin with a Fox News alert. President Trump is currently speaking in Kentucky for his affordability tour.
00:25Much more on that later. So first, to the latest on Epic Fury, as U.S. forces decimate Iran's navy.
00:32CENTCOM announcing it took out 16 Iranian mine lane ships, with Trump telling Axios about the operation's resounding success, saying
00:41this,
00:41quote, that the war with Iran will end soon because there is practically nothing left to target.
00:47The president also putting Iran amid reports the terror regime is putting mines in the Strait of Hormuz,
00:53threatening Iran with destruction on a, quote, level never seen before.
00:58Here's the president today with the latest.
01:01The military is unbelievable, the job they're doing.
01:04I would say, to put it mildly, way ahead of schedule.
01:07We've knocked out their navy, their military in all forms.
01:12We've knocked out just about everything there is, including their leadership.
01:17Twice. We knocked out twice, their leadership.
01:20And now they have a new group coming up. Let's see what happens to them.
01:24But 47 bad years we suffered with them, not only us, the rest of the world.
01:30We're doing our job.
01:32And as the war rages on, Democrats and their allies in the media are cooking up bizarre new conspiracy theories,
01:38like The View, thinking that Trump started a war in order to distract from the Nancy Guthrie case.
01:46Why haven't we been talking about Savannah Guthrie and what's going on there?
01:51This is meant to get us so worked up that we are unable to see anything else.
01:58I just came from a two-hour closed-door classified briefing on the war.
02:04Just confirm to me, it's totally incoherent.
02:08We are not going to be able to achieve any of our stated objectives.
02:11This is a disaster of epic proportions.
02:16Meanwhile, the Democrats are freaking out over our troops getting some surf and turf.
02:21A new watchdog report claiming that Secretary Hegseth's Department of War spent
02:26$93.4 billion on grants and contracts last September,
02:31money that had to be spent due to a use-it-or-lose-it policy,
02:36similar to what previous administrations have done.
02:38And the big liberal outrage was over the food.
02:42$2 million on Alaskan king crab, nearly $7 million on lobster tail,
02:47and $15 million on ribeye steak.
02:49Oh, and there's also ice cream.
02:51Gavin Newsom's press office pounced by saying this,
02:54quote, Hegseth blowing $93 billion of taxpayer money in one month.
02:59And Kamala's HQ staff joined in, tweeting,
03:02Hey, Doge, where are you at?
03:04But, Jesse, isn't lobster tail worth it?
03:08Yeah, I mean, what are Democrats arguing?
03:10That troops don't deserve surf and turf?
03:12What should they be eating?
03:14PETA?
03:15Come on.
03:15Every Pentagon does this.
03:17Biden just spent billions on ribeyes and lobster in 2024,
03:23right when he was going out the door.
03:25It's actually history in the United States military.
03:28Usually when you get surf and turf, you're about to deploy overseas,
03:32or you're about to go on a dangerous mission.
03:34So when everybody gets their food, they're like, uh-oh.
03:37Where are we going?
03:38And where did they go?
03:39I think we can all see.
03:40The United States is the best military in the world.
03:45We have the number one economy.
03:46We have the most advanced technology.
03:48We issue the world's reserve currency.
03:52A small, weeks-long bombing campaign of the Iranians
03:56does not qualify as a quagmire,
03:59does not qualify as a catastrophe or a strategic failure.
04:04Let me see if I understand this correctly.
04:06The Democrats bribed the Iranians,
04:08and they said that was working.
04:10And they took the money, and they built missiles
04:12and buried their nukes deeper underground.
04:14So Trump bombed the nukes and the missiles,
04:16and Democrats say that's not working.
04:18That doesn't make any sense.
04:21The mission is very clear.
04:22You disarm the regime so they can't threaten Americans,
04:25and they can't use the weapons to protect their nuclear program.
04:28Now, I don't know when the regime's going to collapse.
04:31I don't know even if it's going to collapse,
04:34but I do know Ayatollah Jr. hasn't been seen.
04:37He hasn't even said a word.
04:39We think he's underground with broken legs.
04:41Who knows?
04:42He barely won the vote with the clerics.
04:44They don't like him either.
04:45And I do know over the last 24 hours,
04:48the Iranians fired seven missiles.
04:50Seven.
04:51This is the most accurate aerial campaign
04:54in the history of warfare.
04:56We are pinprick precise.
04:59It has been surgical.
05:00Is it perfect?
05:02Absolutely not.
05:03Then it's not surgical.
05:04Absolutely not.
05:06Okay, Obama's drone campaign
05:08annihilated countless innocent civilians, Jessica,
05:11and then he hid it from the American public.
05:13Don't talk to me about that.
05:15Since this war started,
05:16there has been less civilian casualties in Iran.
05:21The death toll in Iran has gone down
05:23since Trump launched this war
05:25because they were slaughtering people in the streets.
05:28Think about that for a second.
05:30We have to do this properly
05:32because there are three outstanding issues.
05:34One, this junior Ayatollah,
05:35he's probably going to have to go pretty soon.
05:38Next, whatever remains of the nuclear program
05:40is going to have to get figured out.
05:41And the strait.
05:42And it looks like after they attacked a few tankers,
05:45we've just warned every civilian
05:47that works in an Iranian port to skedaddle
05:49because we're going to light them up tonight.
05:52Do you want to respond?
05:54I feel like...
05:55Sure.
05:55Get in there.
05:56I'll go.
05:56Get in there.
05:58I look forward to the lighting them up tonight,
06:01but it's definitely not going to plan
06:03if Iran is now exporting more oil
06:05than they were before the war
06:08after sending it over to China,
06:09which was supposed to be one of our targets here
06:11that we would actually hurt the Chinese.
06:13They end up to be doing just fine from this.
06:15The way that the war is being discussed,
06:19I'm glad that you actually used that term,
06:21but listening to Trump say it's a little excursion,
06:23actually it's a war,
06:24and this turned out to be easier than we thought,
06:27feels very akin to that mission accomplished banner,
06:31which what you're saying, Jesse,
06:32is basically backing it up.
06:33There are massive military accomplishments,
06:36especially when it comes to downing
06:38the big Iranian vessels in particular.
06:41Some of those smaller boats are still giving us trouble,
06:43cutting down the number of missiles that they're firing,
06:46also incredibly important,
06:48but we haven't been able to stop their production
06:50and we haven't been able to stop the drones.
06:53So the Ukrainians are helping us do that,
06:55even though they came to us in August of last year,
06:58they had a PowerPoint presentation
07:00saying we've got the right tech to sell you
07:02that'll actually help you
07:03if you get into a conflict like this.
07:05And we just said, eh, no, moving on,
07:07we're not going to do anything with that.
07:08And now we need them,
07:09especially because the Russians are helping the Iranians,
07:11even though Donald Trump and Steve Witkoff,
07:13gave Putin a call and said, you know, stop doing that.
07:16The goalposts have shifted further than a football field.
07:21Like Rubio started out,
07:23we're talking about ending nuclear programs.
07:25We don't talk about that anymore.
07:26We're talking about regime change.
07:28You call him Ayatollah Jr., that's fine.
07:30His legs, it sounds like it's bad,
07:32but he's also more of a hardliner than his father.
07:35His dad has been killed, his wife has been killed,
07:37his son has been killed, and his mother has been killed.
07:39He's mad.
07:40He's solidifying power.
07:42And if he does come out of there,
07:44then they're going to put someone else in.
07:46The Israelis are even saying,
07:47we won't be able to go for regime change anymore.
07:49So now we're just talking about destroying the ability
07:51to launch the missiles.
07:52We have to destroy the missile factories.
07:54We haven't been able to do that and destroy the Navy.
07:56That one looks like it's good.
07:57To the point about, it's surgical,
08:00but nevermind the 180 that died
08:02in the Iranian school, over 100 school children.
08:05And by the way, the preliminary inquiry report is out,
08:07and it does look like it was our missile
08:09and that we were going on bad intel.
08:11So they need to figure out how that happened.
08:13CBS is reporting that that drone attack
08:14that killed six American soldiers in Kuwait,
08:17actually far more serious.
08:19There are 30 people right now in hospitals.
08:21They have brain trauma, burns, shrapnel in them.
08:24And we'll see again about the lighting it up tonight.
08:27But the cast of characters,
08:29when you listen to Steve Witkoff saying,
08:31I trust the Russians,
08:32he gave an interview yesterday on CNBC,
08:33and reporting around what was going on
08:35in these actual nuclear negotiations,
08:37where it indicates that Steve Witkoff
08:39didn't actually even know the terms well enough
08:41to understand what the Iranians were offering,
08:44does not give me a tremendous amount of confidence.
08:48Dana, success does not mean, however,
08:51immediate obliteration.
08:52I mean, that was-
08:53Really, obviously it's not perfect,
08:56but my gosh, Jessica,
08:58I won't go through all of it
08:59because we don't have enough time.
09:00I would recommend,
09:01I haven't done this in a long time,
09:02recommended reading.
09:03Noah Rothman at National Review
09:04has a piece called
09:05What's Gone Right in the Iran War.
09:06Highly recommend it to everybody
09:08because that could be the counter
09:09to what you just heard.
09:11I was also wrote down here
09:12that the Ayatollah Jr.,
09:14we need to have proof of life
09:15because is he really the person
09:17that we're supposed to be believing
09:19that is in charge of the country?
09:21And how are they communicating
09:22even internally to the people there?
09:24There was a Democrat earlier today who said,
09:26why aren't the people out taking over?
09:30They have this opportunity,
09:31President Trump gets this opportunity.
09:32Why aren't they leaving their houses
09:33and taking over?
09:34Because, well, one,
09:35the regime is still entrenched in charge
09:37and says that they'll kill them if they do.
09:39And President Trump has said,
09:40stay inside.
09:41It's not safe for you yet.
09:43It will be hopefully in the future.
09:46On the surf and turf thing,
09:47what I think is so interesting
09:48is that the Democrats complain about that
09:50and not one of them complained
09:52about Governor Tim Walz
09:53and Minnesota fraud and Somali fraud.
09:55record recruitment at the Pentagon right now,
10:01record morale at the Pentagon right now.
10:03And you just think about,
10:05what they spent on surf and turf
10:07is $7 million less
10:08than a doctor charged in a year
10:10to treat fake autism patients.
10:13And that was in the Wall Street Journal today.
10:16Last thing I would say
10:18is I did not know what WYA meant,
10:21but now I do.
10:22And I appreciate that, Emily.
10:24I feel much more...
10:26You know, I'll just take a point
10:27of personal privilege
10:28for one second as well.
10:29Because the Mission Accomplished banner,
10:31just so everybody knows,
10:32like, it drives me crazy
10:34that people don't seem to know this.
10:36So there's millions of people watching.
10:37Here you go.
10:39President George W. Bush
10:40was not declaring Mission Accomplished.
10:41What happened was that
10:43that particular ship
10:44had been on the longest mission
10:45that Ed had ever been on.
10:47And the guys on,
10:49the Admiral said,
10:50is it okay if we put, like,
10:51Mission Accomplished
10:51for this particular ship?
10:52It was a mistake.
10:53It never should have happened.
10:55That was a wrong banner.
10:56But it was not a declaration
10:57that the war was over.
10:59Greg, a lot that we have just covered.
11:01What do you want to talk about?
11:03Well, you know, I...
11:05What has gone on
11:06in the last seven or eight days
11:07is pretty majestic.
11:07And I think Jesse lays it out pretty clear.
11:10And then what Jessica does
11:11was list these details
11:13that she's amassed together,
11:14downloaded into one thing.
11:15Like, look at all
11:16of these little problems.
11:18Once again, it's like,
11:19the process
11:20is more important
11:22than the outcome.
11:23And it reminds me
11:24of the deportations.
11:25Seems like a millennia ago
11:27when that was the worst thing ever.
11:29You remember,
11:30these were the people
11:31who didn't care who got in.
11:33Now arguing
11:34how we're getting them out
11:36and saying,
11:37but you said
11:38it was the worst first.
11:40Of course,
11:41they didn't check to see
11:41who the worst was
11:42when they let them in.
11:44So the point being is
11:45you need to figure out
11:46your own mess
11:47before you criticize ours.
11:49Keep your side
11:50of the street clean
11:51and we'll keep our side
11:52of the street clean.
11:53And that's kind of
11:54the funny thing
11:55about Republicans
11:56is that,
11:57you know,
11:58you lost your seat
11:59at the table
12:00because Republicans
12:01do serious things.
12:03The border,
12:05crime,
12:05foreign policy.
12:07The last 10 years,
12:08your party, Jessica,
12:09preoccupied yourself
12:10with identity politics,
12:13pronouns,
12:13trans,
12:14body positivity.
12:15That's not our fault.
12:18So when we're doing
12:19adult stuff,
12:20you go to the kiddie table.
12:22The Democrats
12:23are like a brat
12:24that just completed
12:25a semester at Yale
12:26lecturing Gramps
12:27on white privilege.
12:29We don't need to hear it.
12:30Everyone,
12:31it's,
12:32you know,
12:33and I,
12:33by the way,
12:34I hate this practice
12:35where they all try
12:35to spend money
12:36at the very end of the year,
12:38but we didn't invent that.
12:39You can guess
12:40who invented that,
12:41you know,
12:42and I'm not taking
12:42any guff
12:43from people
12:44who had taxpayers,
12:45you know,
12:46paying for drag queen
12:47story hour in Cambodia.
12:49At least the surf
12:50and turf
12:50went to our troops.
12:51And at least,
12:52I mean,
12:53again,
12:53you have no credibility
12:55on any of these things
12:56because you were never
12:57at the adult table.
12:59Instead,
13:00you chased these things
13:01that were nothing
13:02but virtue signal
13:03that weren't even
13:04for the American people.
13:05You know,
13:06Sesame Street
13:07for Iraqis,
13:08like that wasn't for us.
13:10That's where you
13:10spent the money.
13:11So all I'm saying is
13:13we're good
13:14at the big picture.
13:15Until you guys
13:16can prove to us
13:17that you are too,
13:18you're going to sit
13:19at the little table
13:19and you're going to sit
13:20there and you're going
13:21to go,
13:21but this happened.
13:22Oh,
13:23but this happened.
13:23Remember this?
13:24Oh,
13:24this is bad.
13:25It's like that.
13:26You guys do that.
13:27We're good.
13:28Should we get a little
13:28table for Jessica?
13:29I'm going to put you
13:30at a little table.
13:31I don't want to sit
13:32at a little table.
13:32People will realize
13:33how large I actually am.
13:36All right,
13:37guys,
13:37up next,
13:38the Democrats exposed
13:39as hypocrites
13:40over high gas prices
13:41as Trump's midterms
13:43affordability swing continues.
13:45Yeah.
13:46Up a plant in Ohio.
13:48Then to Northern Kentucky
13:50for a speech
13:50on the economy.
13:51After getting a decent
13:52inflation report
13:53with February numbers
13:55remaining unchanged
13:56from January.
13:57Here's the press.
13:59Now,
13:59again,
14:00the midterms are coming.
14:02They want to raise
14:03your taxes higher
14:04than you've ever had before.
14:05We have to win.
14:06The midterms
14:07are going to be
14:08very,
14:09very important
14:10to keep it going.
14:12And remember
14:13the Putin price hike crap?
14:15The Dems tried
14:15pushing under Sleepy Joe.
14:17Now those same geniuses
14:18think they got credibility
14:19to complain
14:20about high gas prices.
14:22A barrel of Brent crude
14:24shot over $100
14:25a barrel yesterday.
14:26The average price
14:27of one gallon
14:28in the United States
14:29is $3.54.
14:31That's a 17% increase
14:32since the start of the war.
14:34Gas prices are going
14:35through the roof.
14:36Tariffs still here.
14:39More problems
14:40are going to happen
14:40because of all of this.
14:41Prices are going to
14:42continue to go up.
14:43I love when politicians
14:44say to people,
14:46don't worry about that
14:47inflation.
14:47It's gone.
14:48American people are smart.
14:49Costs are going up
14:50for many reasons,
14:52but including
14:52because of this war of choice
14:54that the president
14:54has decided on his own
14:55to wage.
14:57Hmm.
14:57Interesting, Dana.
14:59What a surprise.
14:59They seem to be all
15:00playing to the same script.
15:03It's like they can't
15:03think for themselves.
15:04The bat signal went out
15:05and the bat signal said
15:06let's talk about high prices.
15:08So hearing Chuck Schumer
15:08talk about it though,
15:09you have to remember,
15:10he says it's the highest
15:11gas prices in years
15:13and he emphasizes that
15:14but the years was 2022
15:15and that was when
15:16the Democrats
15:17worked together
15:17with Biden
15:18to drive up the prices
15:19because they wanted
15:19everybody to pay
15:20high gas prices
15:21so that they would
15:22switch to electric vehicles.
15:23How did that turn out?
15:24Right.
15:24Everybody's now abandoning
15:25their electric vehicle plans
15:27because people don't want them.
15:28The technology
15:29isn't quite there yet.
15:31Also, he's calling
15:32for Trump to release
15:33a strategic petroleum reserve
15:35but let's go back
15:36when during Biden's term
15:37when oil was $25 a barrel
15:40the Republicans said
15:41we should refill it now.
15:43This would make sense
15:44and they said no.
15:46And now they want him
15:47to release it
15:47when it's at this price.
15:49Doesn't make sense.
15:50It doesn't make sense, Emily.
15:52What are your thoughts on this?
15:55I wanted to talk
15:56a little bit
15:56about the pharma stuff
15:57and the affordability tour
15:59that he's doing
16:00because...
16:00Oh, I'm sorry, Jessie.
16:02Is it over your head?
16:03No, no, no.
16:04It is.
16:05Sorry, talk about
16:05the Hotsi Totsi Club.
16:06Hotsi Totsi.
16:07Hotsi Totsi.
16:08That's like the strip joint
16:09in where I come from.
16:10Okay, anyway.
16:13So...
16:13Talk about that.
16:14I know.
16:15That's right.
16:16What does the Hotsi Totsi Club
16:18have to do with pharma?
16:19Well, nothing.
16:20That's why Jessie
16:21was first after that.
16:22So just to say
16:23that I think,
16:23you know,
16:24what we have seen
16:25from this commander-in-chief
16:26is obviously
16:26sort of a cataclysmic presentation
16:28of being able to do
16:30a ridiculous amount
16:32of things at one time.
16:32And his cabinet
16:33has been hyper-efficient
16:35and hyper-accomplished.
16:36And what we're seeing here
16:37with this affordability tour,
16:39however,
16:39is that he's listening
16:40to the American public
16:41where they're saying,
16:41well, number one on our list
16:43is affordability.
16:44We are grateful
16:45and satisfied
16:45that you are
16:47ensuring peace
16:48and stability
16:48in the Middle East
16:49and ensuring that
16:50oil prices
16:51are in the long term
16:53driven down,
16:54that the streets
16:55are safe and more.
16:56But the reality
16:57is that what you feel
16:57on a daily basis
16:58with your family
16:59and with your kids
17:00is how your wallet works
17:01and where your paycheck goes
17:02and whether you get
17:03a tax return.
17:04So I think this is
17:05an important strategic
17:07decision that they're making.
17:09And the other thing
17:10is that it flies
17:10in the face
17:11of what Democrats
17:12have been hollering
17:12this whole time,
17:13which is,
17:13well, none of that matters
17:15except for this.
17:16Well, right now,
17:17Trump is saying,
17:17yeah, you're right.
17:18Here we go.
17:19And here's the answer to that.
17:20So I think it's going
17:20to be successful.
17:22Okay, was that
17:23exciting enough for you?
17:24That was pretty good.
17:24It was Hotsi Totsi to me.
17:26Hotsi Totsi.
17:27Where was that?
17:27In Seattle?
17:28No, it's in El Cerrito.
17:29El Cerrito, California?
17:3194530.
17:32Oh, wow.
17:33Man, I used to drive
17:33down El Camino
17:34in El Cerrito.
17:36In El Camino?
17:37Yeah, in an El Camino.
17:38You know, Jessica,
17:39inflation under Trump
17:40is flatter
17:41than Biden's EKG.
17:43It's got to drive
17:43you crazy, right?
17:45No.
17:45I'm always rooting
17:46for America.
17:49Listen, I'm still
17:50bristling a little bit
17:52from the kiddie table
17:52comment in the A-block,
17:54and I would like
17:55to defend my
17:56real human-sized honor
17:58when you say,
17:59oh, Democrats
18:00don't take any
18:01of the grown-up issues.
18:02We take on
18:03the biggest grown-up issue
18:04of all,
18:05which is the economy.
18:06And then trash it.
18:07No.
18:08You're terrible
18:08for the economy.
18:09Joe Biden had better
18:09GDP numbers,
18:10jobs numbers.
18:11There were more Americans
18:12that were insured.
18:13You can't spin that.
18:14Then why'd you lose?
18:15Look at the numbers.
18:16The economy was so great.
18:17Why'd you lose?
18:17I didn't say it was perfect.
18:18Everybody said
18:18they hated the Bidenomics.
18:20Look at
18:22President Trump's numbers
18:23on the economy.
18:24It's minus 23
18:25in the new NPR.
18:26You're talking about
18:26a poll, Jessica.
18:28Yeah, that's a reflection
18:28of human beings.
18:29I know we don't like
18:30to think it.
18:30Reflection are the numbers.
18:31That is the numbers.
18:32And you guys drove up
18:33inflation to 9%.
18:35We did not.
18:36Oil, gas prices
18:37were $5, Jessica.
18:40Are you kidding?
18:41Here.
18:41$5 a gallon.
18:42Here's real numbers
18:43for you, Jesse.
18:44As President Trump
18:45stands in front
18:46of a banner
18:47that says lower prices
18:48and gas in Kentucky
18:50is $3.16 a gallon
18:53and it was $2.55
18:54before this Iran war
18:56or literally...
18:57And what was it
18:57under Biden?
18:58You mean under Trump
18:59it was $2.55.
19:00That's the spike in it
19:01for something that he caused.
19:03The average family
19:04in Kentucky
19:04is paying over $1,300
19:06That's a great point.
19:06That actually brings me
19:07to my point.
19:08Because of the inflation.
19:08Is it about
19:09the Hotsi Totsi Club?
19:10I wish it was.
19:11I wish it was.
19:12So Donald Trump
19:13could have let this
19:15go to another president.
19:16He went in
19:17knowing it would
19:18drive up the price of oil.
19:20No, he didn't.
19:20He said it won't affect it
19:21and he still says
19:22it's just a little.
19:22He went in
19:23knowing this was
19:24going to cause an issue
19:25but he did it
19:26to make sure
19:27future generations
19:28could live safely
19:29and prosperously.
19:31Jesse,
19:31this is a great point.
19:32He could have let
19:32this guy arm up,
19:34nuke up,
19:35and so the next
19:36Democrat president
19:37would have had to
19:38confront
19:39a more muscular Iran.
19:41You have to respect that,
19:43Jessica.
19:43You don't tell me what to do.
19:44And you should say thank you
19:45when the oil prices
19:47go down.
19:47It is ironic
19:48that in this week
19:50of International Women's Day,
19:52Trump is freeing
19:53the Iranian women
19:54from a misogynistic regime
19:56and yet our feminists
19:57in America
19:58are saying gas
19:59is so expensive
20:00because Trump
20:01is freeing these women.
20:02International Women's Day
20:03was only 23 hours.
20:04Well, I know
20:05because you know why?
20:06Give me that.
20:06You spent an hour nagging.
20:08I spent more than an hour
20:09points deducted.
20:10Yes, points deducted
20:12for nagging.
20:12All right,
20:13coming up,
20:13Tampon Tim's fraud scandal
20:14spreads to Greasy's backyard.
20:17Walls,
20:18who oversaw a $9 billion
20:19Medicaid fraud scandal,
20:21he's now bragging
20:21that he was the guy
20:22locking people up.
20:24I think Minnesotans
20:26have to recognize this.
20:27You're hearing about
20:28fraud in Minnesota
20:29because we are
20:30prosecuting people.
20:31You're going to hear
20:31about it in other states.
20:32You're going to continue
20:33to see it.
20:34But the fix is
20:35you don't want to hear
20:36about fraud
20:36not because somebody's
20:38not prosecuting somebody.
20:39You don't want to hear
20:40about fraud
20:40because you know
20:41the safeguards
20:41and the systems
20:42are in place.
20:43And over in
20:43Gavin Newsom's backyard,
20:45the mainstream media
20:45is catching up
20:46to Fox reporting
20:47on alleged billions
20:48in rampant hospice
20:49fraud in California.
20:50A CBS report
20:51claiming over 700
20:52of the roughly
20:531,800 hospices
20:54in L.A. County
20:55trigger multiple
20:56red flags for fraud
20:58as defined by the state.
20:59And Governor Newsom's
21:00office telling CBS
21:01that he has it all
21:02under control,
21:03saying in a statement
21:04under Governor Newsom's
21:06administration,
21:06California has cracked
21:07down on hospice fraud,
21:09launched partnerships
21:10across state agencies,
21:11and the California
21:12Department of Justice
21:13has arrested criminals
21:14to hold them accountable.
21:16Let's talk about
21:16your favorite
21:18politician,
21:19Jesse Tim Walls.
21:20He's got to be
21:20one of the luckiest
21:21guys alive.
21:22All of the news
21:23of the recent weeks
21:24has taken the spotlight
21:25off of him.
21:26However,
21:27he did withdraw
21:28from running
21:29for re-election
21:30because of the fraud
21:31in his state.
21:32Well, he said
21:32the safeguards
21:33are in place
21:34in the system.
21:35What is he talking about?
21:37This fraud was happening
21:39for like 10 years
21:40and people were
21:42blowing the whistle.
21:43Hey, Walls,
21:44they're stealing the cash.
21:45Look at them.
21:46The Somalis are shipping
21:47it out of the airport
21:48in suitcases.
21:49And he did nothing
21:50about it until the
21:52prosecutors came in
21:53and did something about it.
21:54Guy is a joke.
21:55Now, Newsom,
21:57they have been ripping off
22:00L.A. County
22:01with hospice fraud
22:02even before he was governor.
22:05Kamala was A.G.
22:06in California.
22:07She didn't even prosecute it.
22:09They fleeced this county
22:10for hundreds of millions
22:12of dollars.
22:14Finally,
22:14someone catches up to it
22:16and Gavin's like,
22:17yeah, we're all over it
22:18and blames Trump.
22:18That's not going to fly.
22:20That is not going to fly.
22:22If you're the governor
22:23of a state
22:23and you find that much fraud,
22:26you can't say I'm on it
22:27when you're not.
22:28It seems to be everywhere, Greg.
22:30Here's more reporting.
22:31Wall Street Journal said
22:31that there's an Indiana doctor.
22:33He charged $29 million
22:35to treat 84 kids for autism.
22:38So it's like this boom in autism
22:39is Medicaid's fastest
22:41growing jackpot.
22:42I did a little math.
22:43It's $345,000 per kid.
22:46Wow.
22:47In your face, Mara Gay.
22:51Hope I got the number one.
22:52Yes, yeah.
22:54I got to talk about Waltz first
22:56because he said
22:56we're only hearing about it
22:57because of the prosecution.
22:58No, you tried to silence
23:00the whistleblowers.
23:01You smeared people
23:03who wanted to investigate
23:04because you caught any look
23:05into the Somali fraud,
23:07you were considered racist.
23:09There are two reasons
23:10why we're hearing about this.
23:12Because Kamala picked him as VP
23:14because she felt he was less gay
23:17than Mayor Pete
23:18when in fact he makes Mayor Pete
23:19look like Chuck Norris.
23:21And also, we know,
23:24we really know about this stuff
23:25because some 23-year-old Mormon
23:27named Nick decided to do
23:30what journalists used to do
23:31and hit the pavement.
23:33He actually went to the story,
23:35which myself included,
23:36nobody does.
23:37You know, it's like,
23:38it's like we sit,
23:39we surf, find out,
23:40ooh, now Nick Shirley's
23:41doing the work for me.
23:42Hey, hey, hey, click, click, click.
23:44And he did the work.
23:45He did the work for everybody.
23:46I mean, and I think that's why
23:49you're hearing about
23:49the hospice stories in California.
23:51It's a fitting story for California
23:52because California is in hospice.
23:54Just make the state comfortable.
23:56Give it some,
23:56give him some like chopped ice.
23:58All right.
23:59Again, I want to go back
24:01to the border on this.
24:02Okay.
24:02How did we find out
24:04about the border?
24:05We didn't find out
24:06from Biden or Mayorkas, did we?
24:08They covered it up.
24:10They said we were racist
24:11for bringing it up.
24:12They went after our border patrol.
24:14There was only one reason
24:15we found out about it.
24:16It was Bill Malugin.
24:17One guy showing us,
24:19going there like a reporter,
24:22showing with drones,
24:23photos and pictures,
24:24the story that CNN and MSNBC,
24:27the Washington Post
24:27and New York Times
24:28had mocked, had scoffed
24:29until now they're going like,
24:31oh, you guys,
24:33we, the border's terrible,
24:34but the way you're
24:35handling it is awful.
24:36Do you see my point here?
24:37It's all the same cycle.
24:39You're welcome.
24:40It just keeps happening.
24:41And there's just,
24:43you know,
24:43Doge tried to do some of it.
24:45It wasn't perfect.
24:46And, but, you know,
24:48Congress keeps filling back
24:49up the coffers.
24:50And unless they have
24:52more fraud alerts,
24:55it's going to keep happening.
24:57Yeah.
24:57Doge, where are you at?
24:59Look, to your point, Greg,
25:01Nick Shirley freely says
25:02that the reason
25:03that he learned about it
25:04is because there was
25:05a dedicated Minnesotan,
25:07as Wohl says,
25:08who relentlessly
25:09and tirelessly
25:10reached out to Nick
25:12and said,
25:13look, help me.
25:13I have been committed
25:14to cleaning up my state.
25:16It's people who care.
25:17And it,
25:18I don't think there's
25:19a rhyme or a reason
25:20why it somehow goes viral,
25:22but thank God
25:23when it does.
25:23It's unfortunately
25:24that the more sexier stories
25:26eclipse the stories
25:27that are draining
25:28or reveal that,
25:29that we are being drained
25:31by the millions
25:32and billions.
25:33It's sort of like,
25:33remember when Juul got big
25:35and everyone was like,
25:36oh my gosh,
25:36overnight sensation Juul.
25:37And it's like,
25:38no, she was sleeping
25:38in her car for four years.
25:40It didn't happen overnight.
25:41The point is,
25:42she, what?
25:43You know what I'm talking about.
25:44I thought you were talking about
25:44the vape.
25:46Oh, no.
25:47You're talking about Juul
25:48the singer.
25:49The 90s.
25:49The 90s where I reside.
25:50The one with a funny tooth?
25:51Yes.
25:52Okay.
25:52The 90s where I reside.
25:53I also want to point out
25:54the fact that Tim Walls
25:57and his entire presentation
25:58reminds me of sort of
25:59opening arguments
26:00before you get to trial
26:01where he can stand out there
26:03and the jury's like,
26:04okay, all right,
26:04this is maybe going to happen.
26:05And then you realize
26:06that the entire case
26:07has fallen flat
26:08because there's absolutely
26:09no evidence to back him up.
26:10He right now is on
26:11a speaking circuit
26:12and enjoys that reporters
26:13do not press back.
26:14But what will happen
26:15is that the evidence
26:16will be revealed
26:17that, yes,
26:17he actively punished
26:18the whistleblowers.
26:19And by the way,
26:20with his fiduciary duty
26:21and his duty
26:22to his constituents,
26:24he knew or should have known
26:26is the same standard.
26:27And he will be on the hook,
26:28in my opinion,
26:30criminally liable
26:30for that rampant fraud
26:32because you know
26:32where else that money went?
26:33It didn't just go
26:34to line the pillows
26:36of couches
26:37of Somalians
26:38in their home.
26:39It went to Somaliland.
26:40It went also
26:40to a bunch of terrorist cells.
26:42So the bad people
26:44that our brave men
26:45and women in uniform
26:46are fighting right now
26:47and dying for right now
26:49were funded
26:50by those taxpayers
26:51in Minnesota
26:52that Tim Walz thinks
26:53is occurring everywhere.
26:55It's not.
26:55It's under his watch.
26:56And Gavin Newsom
26:57is a whole different story.
26:58He is an absolute joke.
26:59In anything criminal justice,
27:00he is impotent
27:01just like the Ayatollah Sun.
27:04Does, Jessica,
27:05will Democrats
27:06take all of the fraud issues
27:07into consideration
27:08when they look
27:09to the 2028 nominee?
27:10I think it'll come up.
27:12I mean,
27:12it's going to be
27:12a huge debate stage, right?
27:14It'll be reminiscent
27:15of 2020.
27:17Those debates
27:17don't work anymore anyway.
27:19That's a subject
27:20for another time.
27:20Oh, yeah.
27:22I don't know.
27:23I mean,
27:23you do see certainly
27:24the ones who should be
27:25on the kiddie stage
27:26still mad about the Yatollah.
27:29Remember in 2016
27:30when they had
27:31the low-rated debate
27:32and the big one?
27:35The piece that you cited,
27:36though,
27:36is really good.
27:37Everyone should look at it,
27:37the Wall Street Journal
27:38piece on the fraud.
27:39And they used actually
27:41some Doge data
27:42to look at it.
27:43So that was a good thing
27:44that came out
27:44of the Doge situation.
27:46As far as fraud,
27:48and I've said this
27:48since the beginning,
27:50it should be taken seriously
27:51no matter your politics.
27:53You should be held
27:53to a high standard there.
27:55There is going to be
27:57some level of fraud
27:58that happens
27:58in any huge bureaucracy.
28:00And obviously $19 billion
28:02or potentially $19 billion
28:03is massive,
28:04but also should
28:05hold people accountable
28:06like a Donald Trump,
28:08for instance,
28:08giving pardons
28:09and commutations
28:10to huge health care fraudsters,
28:12people who took
28:12billions of dollars
28:13from Americans
28:14through the Medicare
28:15and Medicaid fraud system.
28:17So Biden's...
28:18It also happens
28:19when you shut down
28:20whistleblowers.
28:22Don't do that either.
28:24All right,
28:24coming up,
28:24a Democrat makes
28:25bizarre comments
28:26about the benefits
28:27of shoplifting.
28:29A liberal nitwit.
28:31A Minnesota state Democrat
28:32going viral
28:33after suggesting
28:34studying the benefits
28:36of shoplifting
28:36during a hearing
28:38in the state legislature.
28:39Watch.
28:40It actually had not
28:41occurred to me to ask.
28:42It probably would have been good
28:43to make sure
28:44that they would study
28:45sort of the benefit
28:46of shoplifting
28:47and of retail theft.
28:48And because perhaps
28:49people are relying on that
28:50and sort of using that,
28:51maybe it's, you know,
28:52assisting them in some way.
28:55Of course,
28:55the lawmaker now claims
28:56he was just being sarcastic.
28:58And speaking of
28:59the liberal's love
29:00for shoplifting,
29:01New York Magazine
29:01running a puff piece
29:02on Whole Foods Jail,
29:04which is a small
29:05windowless office
29:06near the baked goods section
29:08that liberal women
29:09who casually steal
29:10from the grocery store
29:11get sent to.
29:13Have you ever been sent
29:15to Whole Foods Jail, Emily?
29:16No.
29:17You know what I hate
29:18about that
29:18is how journalists
29:21have the ability
29:22to shape whether
29:23something is okay or not.
29:24Like recreational
29:25probiotic thieving
29:26because the chick
29:27spending $300
29:28on turkey and whatever
29:30is like,
29:31oh, the Dr. Hauschka,
29:32I don't want to spend
29:32another $30 on eye cream
29:34so I'll take it.
29:35Like, that is what
29:37excuses the entire
29:39rampant epidemic
29:40of shoplifting
29:40that actually results
29:41in security guards
29:42getting stabbed
29:43and all those other things.
29:43It's how they describe
29:45the bombers.
29:47Yes.
29:47Two teams
29:48They try to shape
29:50your emotion
29:51before they tell
29:52the story.
29:53Totally.
29:53And I loved that
29:55actually that particular
29:56example,
29:56she did go to jail.
29:57I'm not trying to,
29:58you know,
29:59scream from the wings
30:00like everyone should
30:01go to jail for this
30:01but don't make it
30:02seem okay
30:03because the whole
30:04point is it's not
30:05and if it's Whole Foods
30:06on that day
30:06then what mom and pop
30:07store is it going
30:08to be the next day
30:09and also,
30:09do you guys remember
30:10that one softball coach
30:11poor thing
30:12who, um,
30:13I can't actually
30:14ironically remember
30:14whether she did it
30:15on purpose
30:15or it was an accident
30:16but she was doing
30:16the self-scanning,
30:17one of the skinny
30:18and then remember
30:19she got completely
30:20like fired,
30:20everything.
30:21Jessica knows
30:22what I'm talking about.
30:23Well, we have
30:23four million viewers
30:24you don't.
30:26Everyone knows
30:26what I'm talking about.
30:27The whole point is
30:28is that it's a hypocrisy.
30:30This one's okay,
30:30this one's not.
30:31What's the softball coach?
30:33Jessica knows what I'm talking about.
30:35Jessica, tell us about
30:37the softball coach.
30:38Translate.
30:39There is a lot of
30:40accidental shoplifting
30:42that happens
30:43with the self-scanner
30:44especially when you're like,
30:45and this happens
30:46a lot when you have
30:47strollers
30:48and big,
30:49you know how people
30:50bring their own bags
30:51now in their little cars.
30:52You're such a liberal.
30:53Well, we have to.
30:53I will exploit that.
30:56It's like,
30:56oh,
30:56it's like,
30:57you know,
30:57these,
30:57you know,
30:58it's like,
30:58you know,
30:58we should allow
30:59trans women
31:00into women's bathroom.
31:01Of course,
31:01men won't game
31:02that system.
31:03Now you tell me
31:04about putting food
31:05in a,
31:06it's like,
31:06oh,
31:06I thought I scanned
31:07the caviar.
31:08I thought I scanned it.
31:09No,
31:09it's like random
31:10like viticoco.
31:12It's not like
31:13viticoco.
31:14But like with the baby
31:15carrots,
31:15there's that under thing.
31:16Yeah.
31:17You can put all sorts
31:17of groceries.
31:18I forgot the case
31:19of water under there.
31:21I do that all the time.
31:22Greg,
31:22you seem to be
31:23very excited
31:24about this segment.
31:25I love how entitled
31:26these women are.
31:27And by the way,
31:28what your point is,
31:29is how they describe
31:30their occupations
31:31as their shoplift.
31:32Like one is an artist
31:33and another one
31:34was on her way
31:35to a concert,
31:35like a really hip show
31:36to tell you
31:37that these people
31:37aren't like
31:38those other people.
31:41Minorities.
31:42They're not poor minorities.
31:43They're like white,
31:45educated women.
31:46But that's the
31:47legislator's point
31:48because I think
31:49he was being serious.
31:49It's worse,
31:50obviously,
31:51when people who don't
31:51need to steal do.
31:53Stealing is bad
31:54no matter what.
31:55And if you'd read
31:55the Bible,
31:56you'd know that.
31:58Harold texts you
31:59every morning
32:00if you've read the Bible.
32:01I think we've created
32:01a generation of people
32:03who are shocked.
32:04All day he goes?
32:05We have a generation
32:06of people who are shocked
32:07by how the world works,
32:08that somehow
32:09they are entitled
32:10or immune
32:10to the certain things
32:11that we've grown up with.
32:12You know,
32:13you see a protester
32:14spit in a cop's face
32:16and then scream
32:17when they get pepper sprayed,
32:18like,
32:18how can you do this to me?
32:19It's the same mentality.
32:21They should all be killed
32:23with kindness.
32:24Kill them with kindness,
32:25right, Dana?
32:26Yeah, I guess.
32:27So that's what I thought
32:27that the guy
32:28from Minnesota
32:30who,
32:31I don't think
32:31he's being sarcastic.
32:32He was being empathetic.
32:34Oh.
32:35And sarcasm
32:36is the Republican's job.
32:37And then,
32:38so he's trying
32:38to play that card.
32:39I'm like,
32:39no,
32:39he's trying to be empathetic.
32:40He was like,
32:41you know,
32:41Jean Valjean
32:42needed a loaf of bread.
32:43And everybody,
32:44you know,
32:44he came back
32:45and figured out a way
32:47to make his life better.
32:48That's kind of
32:48what he was saying.
32:49But if I was a Democrat
32:50from Minnesota,
32:51I would not be making jokes
32:52at all
32:53about stealing people's money.
32:54Looting.
32:55That's not a good look.
32:56Especially after the Somalis
32:58did what they did,
32:59right, Jessica?
33:00Tell them what they did.
33:01Oh my gosh.
33:02All the Somalis
33:03did not do anything.
33:04There was some Somali fraud,
33:05but the head of,
33:06what is it?
33:06I was just being sarcastic,
33:08Jessica.
33:08We know they stole
33:08all the money.
33:10Up next,
33:10President Trump
33:11making the boys
33:12wear all the same shoes.
33:14President Trump
33:15is obsessed
33:16with gifting his staff
33:17these $145
33:18Florsheim leather
33:20Oxford shoes.
33:21And quote,
33:22all the boys have them,
33:23said a female
33:24White House official.
33:25Another joke,
33:26it's hysterical
33:26because everybody's
33:27afraid not to wear them.
33:29Jesse,
33:30the best part is
33:31that they wear them
33:32even when they don't fit.
33:33Like Marco Rubio
33:34has like a four-inch gap
33:35in his shoes.
33:37I can't comment
33:37on the size of Marco's feet.
33:39It wouldn't be right,
33:41but this is what
33:42the president does.
33:43I used to wear these
33:44really English spread
33:45collars on the air
33:45and it used to really
33:47piss off the president
33:48and he'd see me,
33:48he'd go,
33:48Jesse,
33:49your collar is so spread,
33:50it looks like it's going
33:51backwards behind your head.
33:52So he bought me a bunch
33:54of shirts with a normal collar.
33:55Wait, what?
33:56Just like one shirt.
33:57And then,
33:58so I felt like pressure
33:59to wear it,
34:01but it was too big.
34:02But now I wear
34:03normal collars.
34:04But he was right.
34:05My English collar
34:05was really messed up.
34:08Dana?
34:08Well,
34:09apparently he buys
34:10his shoes for everyone,
34:10but this week has been
34:12one of those weeks
34:12where you think
34:13that some opposition
34:14research is going
34:14to drop on Marco Rubio
34:16because he was getting
34:17a little ahead.
34:19It might have been
34:19the vice president's office
34:20put it out there.
34:21Oh,
34:21I like it.
34:22Palace intrigue,
34:24Greg.
34:24I'm joking.
34:25It's kind of fun
34:26to see what you could
34:27get your staff to wear.
34:29You know what I mean?
34:30Like,
34:31I actually have my,
34:32I bind their feet.
34:33No,
34:33you made,
34:34you made Kat wear
34:34that sweatshirt,
34:36right?
34:36The Misfits one?
34:37No,
34:37the Misfits sends us
34:39boxes of sweatshirts.
34:41Oh,
34:41I remember.
34:42This is years ago though.
34:43Anyway,
34:44it's usually people
34:44get a deal
34:45in something in bulk
34:46and then they just
34:47keep giving it out
34:48like spaghetti sauce
34:49or hats
34:49or bottles
34:50of wine
34:51with dogs
34:51on it.
34:53We love those boxes.
34:55I'm going to stop.
34:56Emily,
34:57the dress code.
34:59I think it's sweet
35:00and kind
35:00because to that,
35:01like,
35:01I love when someone
35:02loves something so much
35:03that they want
35:04everyone to have it.
35:05For me,
35:05I feel like
35:06it's always like
35:09for me,
35:09it's like lip gloss,
35:10whatever.
35:10But also,
35:11you know what I was picturing
35:12is a member in Voyage
35:13of the Don Tretter,
35:14the,
35:14the,
35:14are they the,
35:15or what are the ones
35:16that monopeds
35:17with the mono,
35:18everyone knows
35:19what I'm talking about,
35:19CS Lewis.
35:20No one knows
35:21what you're talking about.
35:22Everyone watching knows,
35:23but that's what it was
35:23reminding me of
35:24where there are one big foot
35:25and the foot is really long.
35:27The shoes that don't fit.
35:28Okay.
35:29Marco said.
35:31It's like a Friday.
35:32One more thing
35:33is up next.
35:38It's time now
35:38for one more thing,
35:39Dana.
35:40Well,
35:40on Monday,
35:41it was Jessica's
35:42birthday.
35:43Yay!
35:44We have some cupcakes.
35:45Yay!
35:46Happy birthday to you.
35:48How did you spend
35:49your birthday?
35:50I was the mystery reader
35:52at Cleo's pre-K class.
35:55It was so fun.
35:56The kids have to guess
35:57based on clues
35:58what parent is coming
35:59so you could hear
36:00their little voices
36:00and they're like,
36:01she has glasses
36:01and four kids were like,
36:02it's mine,
36:03it's mine.
36:04And then they were like,
36:04she's really tall
36:05and my daughter was like,
36:06it's her.
36:06It's definitely my mom.
36:07And I went to
36:10a fun restaurant.
36:10We went out to Brooklyn
36:12on an adventure.
36:13Whoa,
36:13what was that like,
36:14Brooklyn?
36:14I heard about that.
36:14Did you have a passport
36:15to go to Brooklyn?
36:16No,
36:16we zoomed right across.
36:18Everything was great.
36:18You've got a well-behaved
36:19in Brooklyn.
36:19Thank you, guys.
36:20Well,
36:20happy,
36:20happy birthday.
36:21What cupcake would you like?
36:22I know.
36:23Oh,
36:23did I take the one you wanted?
36:24I'm sorry.
36:25Surprisingly well-behaved.
36:26Like in Harlem.
36:27Happy birthday.
36:28Thank you so much.
36:29We love you.
36:29Happy birthday.
36:31All right,
36:31guys,
36:32Greg.
36:32All right,
36:33tonight we've got a great show.
36:34Kat,
36:35Tim,
36:35Jim Florentine,
36:36Michelle Tafoya,
36:36Tyrus,
36:37that's tonight at 10.
36:38Let's do this.
36:39Greg,
36:40sexy tiger news
36:41with Emily Campagna.
36:43Okay,
36:43guys,
36:44check it out.
36:44This is a tiger movie.
36:46Tiger's name is Mabel,
36:47it's a female.
36:47A lot of tigers are female
36:48and it's at the John Balzu
36:49in Grand Rapids,
36:50Michigan.
36:50She's an Amher tiger,
36:51formerly known as the Siberian tiger,
36:53named after tigers that were in Russia,
36:54which was formerly the USSR.
36:56Amher tigers are the largest cats
36:57in the world.
36:57The males can weigh up to 450 pounds.
36:59That's one quarter of a ton
37:00or just 450 pounds.
37:02They are endangered, guys.
37:03Come on.
37:04Stop killing the tigers.
37:05They're so beautiful.
37:06Oh my God,
37:06look at that one.
37:07OMG,
37:07only 500 have remained
37:08and they're wild around the world
37:10in the Russian Far East.
37:11Isn't that great?
37:11Everyone knows that.
37:12Everyone knows that.
37:13Everyone watching knows that.
37:14I give you an A minus.
37:17Aw.
37:18Now I'm all flabbergasted,
37:19like flustered.
37:20Okay,
37:20Jesse.
37:21Bam,
37:22out of Bayou,
37:22dropped 83 points last night
37:24against the Wizards.
37:25Look at this guy.
37:26He starts the 31-point first quarter,
37:2943 at halftime.
37:30He beat out Kobe.
37:32Remember Kobe had that 81-point game
37:33back in the day?
37:34Almost beat Wilt's 100-point game
37:37back in 1962.
37:37And it's a free-throw record now.
37:39And it's a free-throw record.
37:41Jessica knows more about it than I do.
37:43That's a first.
37:45Tonight,
37:45Jesse Wilt is primetime.
37:46David Petraeus,
37:47Kathy Lee Gifford,
37:48and Benny Johnson.
37:49How about that line?
37:50You got Petraeus.
37:51That's like a Gutfeld lineup.
37:52It's like a variety show.
37:53Kathy Lee.
37:55Jessica.
37:56All right.
37:57Look at this rare sight in New York City.
37:59A pod of dolphins
38:00turning the East River
38:01into their playground.
38:02About a dozen of them
38:03were spotted leaping and splashing
38:04near Randall's Island.
38:05Experts say the dolphins
38:07may have followed a school of fish
38:08or simply enjoyed the strong currents,
38:09but sightings like this
38:10in the city
38:10are extremely rare.
38:12Because they normally have two heads
38:13in the East River.
38:14Lonnie D.
38:15Wayman,
38:16a U.S. veteran
38:17who died with no known relatives,
38:19instead was honored
38:20at his funeral
38:20by dozens and dozens
38:22of supporters.
38:24God bless him.
38:24Thank you for your service.
38:26That's it for us.
38:26Have a great night.
38:27Emily, Greg didn't sound like you.
38:30Jessica,
38:30happy birthday.
