TaiwanPlus has learned that authorities are investigating a foreign vessel that sailed near the Taiwan-Matsu No. 2 undersea cable, which Chunghwa Telecom reported last week had suffered a core break. An initial probe has not revealed evidence of malicious intent and Chinese involvement has been ruled out.
