00:00E' un nuovo mondo che è venuto.
00:30E' un genere eccessivo che si tramanda in famiglia.
01:30E' un momento speciale.
01:32In the years, your style, that is very peculiar, I have the impression that is going more and
01:40more hidden in your movies.
01:42In this movie, we have a brief glimpse of your style, the fight with the dolls, the masks.
01:50Why?
01:51Because you, at a certain point, saw that everybody was doing Tim Burton's style and you...
01:59Yeah, no, I don't...
02:00I try to avoid all of that because it's a weird phenomenon because I just felt myself as a
02:06person.
02:06I never felt like I had really a style or anything or just...
02:09I just like to do what I do.
02:12So that's why I don't go look on the internet about myself or anything because it's a strange
02:17thing to become from a human being to a thing, you know?
02:21And so I try not to look at it too much.
02:24And, you know, I just...
02:26I try not to think, well, I've done this before, didn't do that before.
02:29It's just something like in this particular project, it's just all those elements were
02:33there and it just seemed like something that spoke to me.
02:37I have a curiosity, did you spoke with monsters when you were little?
02:41Of course.
02:42Like I...
02:42Well, I mean, I, you know, I love monsters.
02:46I grew up watching monster movies.
02:48People thought I was strange because I liked them so much, but it didn't seem that strange
02:52to me because I always felt I identified with them.
02:55There was something about monsters that were quite beautiful and lonely and emotional that
03:01spoke to me.
03:04When you were younger, you said that you were lonely, more sad.
03:12Now that you have overcome such a huge success that you know that in the world millions of
03:17people love you and you work, have you changed your view of your mix or is it the same for
03:23you?
03:23No, I think the strange thing is, is that, yes, it's true, you know, you grow out of that
03:28and, but once you have those feelings, they always stay with you, you know what I mean?
03:33And that's why I do connect with people.
03:36Sometimes people come up and say something very nice.
03:38and it's not that they're just saying something nice, I feel like there's a connection and
03:42that's really nice.
03:43You know, you feel like you're, it may not be a lot of people, but it's a few and it's
03:47enough to make you feel like, you know, you've connected.
03:50And I think that's the most important thing when you're doing anything, a film or anything
03:54is even if it's a few people, there's a connection.
03:57Another curiosity, did you ever say to your high school mates, now look at me, thank you.
04:04I don't have to say, no, no, no, I mean, because it's, it, it, it's funny because I was very
04:09quiet in school and all and I think, look at, I think everything, success, whatever, it surprised
04:16me, it surprised my parents, it surprised everybody, so it's nice to surprise people.
04:25Promettimi una cosa, Jake, abbi cura di tutti loro.
04:28Lo prometto.
