Missing Brazilian academic’s bag found near Essex boatyard

Credit: Essex Police.An academic from Brazil who went missing a week ago while visiting the UK is believed to have jumped over a fence into a boatyard close to where her bag was later found, police said.Vitoria Figueiredo Barreto, 30, has not been in contact with loved ones since March 3 after she met a friend at Essex University in Colchester.Essex Police said she was reported missing the following day.
