U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran, threatening to take control of the strategic Strait of Hormuz if Tehran attempts any further attacks. Trump said Iran should not try “anything cute,” warning that any move to disrupt the crucial oil shipping route could trigger a devastating U.S. response. The strait carries nearly 20% of the world’s oil supply, making it one of the most critical maritime chokepoints on the planet.

The warning comes amid intensifying conflict and disruptions to commercial shipping in the region. Trump also claimed Iran’s military capabilities have been severely weakened and suggested the conflict could end sooner than expected. Meanwhile, global markets remain on edge as fears grow that any escalation around the Strait of Hormuz could send oil prices soaring and trigger a wider regional crisis.

01:34passing through the narrow waterway.
01:36Due to rising security concerns,
01:40commercial tanker traffic through the Strait has slowed sharply,
01:44raising fears of major disruptions to global energy markets.
01:48Amid these developments,
01:50oil prices briefly surged close to $120 per barrel,
01:55the highest level since 2022,
01:58before easing back toward $90

02:32air force, and communications network.

04:10And when, look, there's tremendous hatred
04:13between President Putin and President Zelensky.
04:16They can't seem to get it together.
04:19But I think it was a positive call on that subject.
04:22And we obviously talked then about the Middle East.
04:24And he wants to be helpful.
04:28According to Moscow, Putin suggested exploring
