00:00So, we wait for the five lights, and it's lights out and away we go. Max Verstappen gets away well
00:07from Charles Leclerc and already George Russell is alongside Carlos Sainz.
00:11Into turn one we go, it's Verstappen from Leclerc, Sainz goes off the track, Russell goes through, Sainz comes back
00:16on just behind George Russell, then Sergio Perez, Esteban Ocon and Kevin Magnussen.
00:21On the run now, down towards turn three, Sainz has got ahead of George Russell, Verstappen leads from Leclerc, then
00:28comes Sainz, then Russell, Sergio Perez might make a move here because George Russell got slightly pinched by the Ferrari.
00:35The drag now down towards turn four and the two Ferraris pulling clear of that Mercedes, Verstappen pulling clear of
00:41Charles Leclerc.
00:42On the inside goes George Russell and Sergio Perez and they touch and Perez is spun round and off into
00:47the gravel and you can see that coming from halfway down the street.
00:51George Russell has got a five-second penalty causing that collision.
00:56Nothing I could do, he just turned into me.
00:59You can see that Mick Schumacher ahead now of Lewis Hamilton up into seventh place.
01:05So they brought George Russell in, he'll serve that five-second time penalty before they can work on the changing
01:10of the tyres.
01:11As down the inside goes Charles Leclerc on Max Verstappen. Oh, and did that catch? Max Verstappen napping a little

01:18because he certainly wasn't expecting Charles Leclerc to come down the inside. That was a brilliant move.
01:25Verstappen back out on the hard tyre in eighth place behind Lando Norris.
01:29He is, but he's also then behind obviously Sainz, Ocon, Magnussen, Mick Schumacher and down to Lewis Hamilton.
01:37There is Lewis Hamilton right behind Mick Schumacher. It's like a repeat of yesterday's sprint.
01:43But is Mick Schumacher starting to struggle on his tyres a bit and is Hamilton trying to dive down the
01:48inside at turn eight.
01:49What a place to make an overtake. Don't often see him there. Hamilton back up ahead of the Haas.
01:55Lewis Hamilton with DRS now has got Kevin Magnussen in his sights and the Haas hasn't got that gap in
02:01the rear wing.
02:01So Hamilton's got ten mile an hour extra speed because of the DRS and that very much helps him to
02:06clear not one but two Haas cars within the space of one lap.
02:10Hamilton without pitting so far up into fourth place.
02:14At the moment Verstappen has still sort of got a net lead in this race and he needs to clear
02:19people like Lewis very quickly indeed.
02:21And that was a very nice piece of car placement from Lewis Hamilton. Verstappen on the fresher tyres gets a
02:26good exit out of turn three.
02:27They are wheel to wheel before they head to the braking zone into turn four.
02:31And Verstappen after being thwarted for a couple of corners does get past the Mercedes.
02:38Alonso's going to go for it, is he? No, not quite. Into turn nine but Joe goes wide and for
02:44one second the door almost opens to Fernando Alonso.
02:46This is absolutely brilliant experience against youthful exuberance.
02:51Yeah, but that's left Fernando Alonso because he had a slow exit.
02:53Oh, well, there's three abreast now. Extraordinary.
02:56Kevin Magnussen now gets past Fernando Alonso.
02:59And do you know what? Joe Guanyu is right in the thick of that as well.
03:03As is Lando Norris, as is Mick Schumacher.
03:06Three become five into turn three. In goes Magnussen.
03:10Round the outside goes Norris. Surely, surely they don't make contact. Yes, they don't make contact.
03:15But Norris does go off the road as he now tries to get past Kevin Magnussen.
03:20So Magnussen eighth, Norris ninth. Here comes Lando Norris round the outside in turn four.
03:25Late braking for Kevin Magnussen. Alonso's still ahead of now Mick Schumacher and Joe Guanyu.
03:32Right at the tail end of this quintet. And Lando Norris is still going for it with Kevin Magnussen.
03:37And that is just epic. Charles Leclerc. Twelve laps that he has fresher rubber.
03:44He comes out behind Verstappen, but should be faster when those tires warm up.
03:50As here goes Lewis Hamilton towards turn three with Esteban Ocon.
03:54And Hamilton gets that move done before they hit the braking zone in the apex of the corner.
04:00And here's a warning for Max Verstappen. Charles Leclerc is about two car lengths behind you.
04:04But I think he knows it. I think he's seen it.
04:05And I don't think he really wants to fight this one because he knows that he hasn't really got the
04:10machine underneath him to fight this one.
04:13And certainly with 12 laps fresher tires, Charles Leclerc has one of his more simpler overtakes on Max Verstappen.
04:21You know, yesterday, Mick Schumacher was saying, I'm faster than my teammate. I'm faster than Kevin Magnussen.
04:25He's proving it at the moment.
04:28In for a second stop comes Max Verstappen.
04:32And he wasn't really enjoying life on those hard compound tires.
04:35So what goes on, Martin? Another set of hard compound tires.
04:40Oh, and off goes Sebastian Vettel for the second time this weekend.
04:45Sebastian Vettel finds himself in the grass.
04:47And a five second penalty for Pierre Gasly for causing that collision with Sebastian Vettel.
04:53He has to give up that corner. I had the nose ahead. What is wrong with these people?
05:00Ferrari, I think, think they've got the pace to cover Red Bull with any strategy.
05:05Well, we're going to find out.
05:07Red Bull just haven't had an answer to the Ferrari pace.
05:09And look how easy it is for Charles Leclerc to get up to the back of that Red Bull.
05:14But Verstappen is forcing him the long way round at turn three.
05:17So Leclerc goes for the old switcheroo, forces Verstappen to go a bit wide on the exit.
05:22And then he is through on the inside to retake the lead of this race.
05:26Charles Leclerc back in front of Max Verstappen.
05:28And on the run down, the engine's gone. The engine's gone for Carlos Sainz.
05:35And whilst he was looking at an overtake on Max Verstappen, he has been undone by a power unit problem.
05:42And this is the moment that Carlos Sainz hopes of another podium in Formula One went with Ferrari's fourth mechanical
05:50failure in a race this season.
05:53George Russell trying to make a move past Esteban Ocon at turn three.
05:57And we've seen that little switcheroo to great effect and to very good effect for George Russell.
06:02So he puts his Mercedes up in the fourth where he started this race.
06:06Charles Leclerc started second in the race today.
06:09He sees the chequered flag and for the first time, other than when he's on pole, he takes victory.
06:15Charles Leclerc wins the Austrian Grand Prix.
06:18And Max Verstappen, after taking maximum points in the sprint yesterday, settles for second place.

06:32But that is now half-time officially in the Formula One World Championship.
06:37Ferrari are still in it. Max Verstappen still leads it.
