00:00International analyst John Paul Merz, in the context of the popular consultation held on International Women's Day, highlighted the work
00:08of women in Venezuela.
00:12Venezuela's Bolivarian Revolution is currently led by a woman, the president in charge, Delcy Rodriguez.
00:23It means not only all the top of the executive branch of the national political power is led by a
00:35woman now, but in all the base structures, there is some woman that impulse all those and the support of
00:46the woman was crucial for the revolution since the very beginning of that.
00:52In the time of Hugo Chavez, it was four of the five national branches of the public power who are
01:06led by women. Now, with Delcy Rodriguez, she has the presidency, the first woman on presidency.
01:14And we now have to highlight this in the International Women of the International Day for the Women as really
01:29show that not only in the base, but in the top of the power, all the decisions include the woman
01:38in all the Venezuelan democratic system.
01:42So it means that one of the goals of the Bolivarian revolution was to improve the participation of women, not
01:50only at the base structure, but in the decisions once.
01:53And with the consultation, the women who are managing all the process and who are leading the participation in the
02:06consultation, it means that they feel very empowered by all those political movements.
02:17That's good.
