Polanie — Polanie 1968 (Poland, Beat,Garage Rock, Rhythm & Blues)

One of the most indisputable and unequivocal legends of Polish rock of the 1960s. Formed in the summer of 1965, they became the first Polish group of stars, consisting of former members of the Polish bands Czerwono-Czarni and Niebiesko-Czarni. Later that year, they recorded two EPs with wild, juicy rhythm and blues passages. Their breakthrough came with The Animals, who toured Poland in November 1965 and supported Polanie musically. Two weeks of working together transformed Polanie into a more aggressive sound. In early 1966, as the second Polish band (after Niebiesko-Czarni), they were allowed to tour behind the Iron Curtain, with concerts in Scandinavia and West Germany. At Hamburg's Star Club, they met Eric Burdon again, who invited them to join The Animals for concerts in the UK. However, the opportunity was missed, allegedly due to passport problems. In October 1967, they recorded their only LP.
