00:14programs funded by the travel tax are important, but it is more appropriate for them to be funded directly through
00:20the National Budget or the General Appropriations Act.
00:23Currently, the travel tax supports the programs of the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority,
00:30the Commission on Higher Education, and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
00:35Representative Kimbo has assured that no employee will be displaced if the travel tax abolition is enacted into law.
