00:00It's an art community that gives a spotlight for artists and beginners that want to learn about it.
00:07We'll know how it's going to do it.
00:09But before that, let's watch it.
00:12Every obra has a story.
00:15Every artist has a dream.
00:18So, there's a space that gives a space for artists to learn and share their alam.
00:48Good morning, Mom Claire and Sir Jethro. And welcome to Rise and Shine, Pilipinas.
00:52Hello, good morning. Thank you for having us.
00:54Well, tell us about the walking art workshop studio.
00:57Ano po ang naging inspirasyon niyo dito and how do you do this?
01:02Can I go first?
01:04Well, ako grew up in a province, a small community there, a small town.
01:09So, mahalaga sa akin yung word na space or environment.
01:12That's why sabi ko nga kanina, na-share ko na, before we're called Pintanggala Studio until we rebranded to Studio
01:20Art Fix because now we are supporting and collaborating with other artists.
01:24But, yung inspirasyon ay dahil nga lumaki ako at nabigyan din ako siguro ng opportunities since I was a kid
01:34to go to places kahit na, you know, I studied in a public school but medyo naglakbay.
01:52siya eh, inspiration na siya for me.
02:00Sir Jethro, ano naman po yung goal ng Art Fix as of the moment?
02:04As of the moment, walang goal kasi ng Studio Art Fix.
02:48sila.
02:48Kasi karamihan ng participants namin, mga very young working professionals.
02:53Pwede tayo dyan?
02:54Pwede, pwede.
02:57So, okay, mga more on adults ganyan.
03:00Yes.
03:01Paano ang ginagawa every session?
03:04What can we expect if we join the workshop?
03:08One is, we will let you create and come alive.
03:13Sabi nga, di ba?
03:14Yung mundo ngayon, it needs more people who come alive and not just existing.
03:25Sabi namin, gusto namin ilapit yung sining sa kahit anong space, even the far-flung areas.
03:53Okay.
03:59So, parang anything goes.
04:01Sabihin nyo sa kanila, make any art, whatever they feel, whatever they want to be.
04:06Okay.
04:06May portfolio si Jetro.
04:09Because he's the resident artist.
04:11Okay.
04:12So, these are my works sa structural drawing class.
04:18So, usually, yung ginagawa namin sa structural drawing class is, kailangan namin, well, I require my students na maging curious
04:26pa sa nakikita nila on a naked eye.
04:32So, usually, ito yung mga drawing from life.
04:35When we say drawing from life kasi, we're drawing from direct observation.
04:41Hindi lang ito sa photograph.
04:43Mayroon kami mga live model or mga statuwa.
04:44So, like realism.
04:45Realism or something?
04:47Yes.
04:47Yes, realism siya, but more of a playful act of art process na.
05:02So, you used pencil dyan sa...
05:05Yes, pencil.
05:06A graphite pencil to be specific.
05:09So, ito, laruan naman sa studio po.
05:12Okay.
05:13Yung mga nakikita mo...
05:14Hala ko si Optimus Primer.
05:14Halaban niya ito.
05:16Halaban niya.
05:17Ang galing mo dyan.
05:18And then the next one, meron dyan kamukha ni Jethro eh.
05:21Ayan o.
05:22Ito, ito naman, mask ko.
05:23Ito, death mask kasi yung tawag dito.
05:26Okay.
05:27So, gumawa ko ng death mask ko.
05:30I casted my own face.
05:31Tapos, ginrawin ko dyan.
05:33It reminds me of Hellboy.
05:34Hellboy.
05:39And is it for a fee?
05:40How can we register?
05:42Okay.
05:51So, we usually post our workshop schedules on different platforms.
05:56Sa internet world naman kami.
05:59And to be honest, yun talaga yung nagsimula ng kung paano rin kami nakapag-reach out to other people na...
06:21And of course, going to places nga.
06:23Doon kami nagsimula.
06:24I-advocacy talaga namin to bring art sa different communities.
06:30And everyone's welcome, any age.
06:33Kahit bata.
06:34As early as five.
06:35Yes, meron kaming mga focus lang talaga.
06:40For example, adults lang or kids lang.
06:42But, we usually conduct workshops na diverse talaga.
06:48Like, people from all walks of life nandun sa iisang art workshop.
06:53Do you believe everybody can actually draw and make an art?
06:57Yes.
06:58Yes, nasa sa inyo.
07:00Ano na siya eh?
07:02We believe na naandyan na siya.
07:05Kailangan na yung as a yulian.
07:07Ano naish.
07:09May environment for that and may mga tao.
07:12Tsaka safe space talaga pa.
07:14Oo.
07:14Kasi minsan, nakum, hindi talaga ako marunong eh.
07:17Oh, inyakay.
07:17Maka ma-judge ka.
07:19It's art mo talaga yan.
07:21Yung ganun di ba?
07:21Kaya hesitant yung ibang mag-enter into this music.
07:25Kaya nga, sabi niya, ang dami niyang nai-invite eh.
07:27How do you get a lot of people?
07:29Tinutulungan din kayo nung, sabi mo nga, nag-co-lab, nag-co-lab kayo sa mga artists, no?
07:35Yes.
07:35Thankful kami both to our partner artists.
07:47And then eventually, we got them or we partnered with them as our co-artists din or co-instructors din.
08:07Siya.
08:07Okay.
08:08My role is in the back end.
08:11Okay.
08:11More on the operation.
08:13Ganyan.
08:13Sabi nila community builder, so ang background ko talaga, actually run NGOs, foundations, and a learning foundation.
08:22So, siguro yung background ko sa project, organizing, and then, yeah, marketing and sales.
08:30Yun naman yung role ko.
08:31Shake with this.
08:32Si Jetro, yung nagtuturo.
08:33How do you make the session relaxing or make them feel, you know, sabi niyo nga, it's a safe space.
09:01Weirdest talent?
09:03Yes, what's one weird fact about you?
09:05Okay.
09:05So, that way, malay dun sa foundation ng workshop na, okay, meron pala ako uniqueness dito sa sarili.
09:14May reflection muna.
09:23So, ano yung expect namin?
09:25Is this gonna run the whole year or are you doing this every time lang?
09:30How frequent?
09:30Yeah, how frequent?
09:31Every week?
09:32Every week meron.
09:33Every week.
09:35To be honest, we're a very, very small team, but grateful kami doon, even sa mga spaces na partners namin
09:41kasi they also help us market it, share it to their own community.
09:48Every week po, pero nagmagla-launch na kami ng mga weekday workshops because usually, it's weekends.
09:54So, can you invite our viewers, saan po natin na pwedeng makita yung ginagawa niyung workshop, and what's next?
10:01Um, hindi pa namin naayas yung calendar for August.
10:05Or July meron na rin.
10:07Pero usually, we conduct our workshop in BGC at mga partners namin in QC.
10:13Yes, QC.
10:14Tarakan gawang gala kami.
10:16Your social media accounts, where can they find you?
10:18Um, you can follow us on StudioArtFix, ah, literal, lahat ng platforms, um, andun po kami, present kami.
10:28So, you'll hope to see you there.
10:30Well, maraming salamat sa pag-ubahagi nitong inyong advocacy, Claire and Jethro.
10:38Wala tayo ngayon kay Fifi.
